Delaware Senate Race: A Kamikaze Republican and the Tea Party

Castle isn't even a chameleon, he's a lapdog for the Democrat Party. As far as I can tell, Palin has been picking winners so far. Maybe she should be chairman of the Republican Party.

I thought she lost that four way where she was backing that woman-the state escapes me now-the tea party endorsed a guy, Palin endorsed a dame

I used to think it was important for the party to win the seat but then when I saw RINOS like Snowe give the dems cover with cap and tax I realized its time to get rid of the RINOs. When Mike DeWhine-one of the worst RINOS in OHio history ran against socialist Sherrod Brown I voted for some third party candidate

That makes no sense at all. A moderate Republican like Castle would vote conservative maybe 50% of the time, and probably more than that. Coons, the Democrat, would never vote conservative. That's the choice here. O'Donnell could never, ever win in Delaware, so the choice is either compromise with a moderate or let a Democrat take what had up to now been a safe GOP pickup.

Extremist conservatives are no different than extremist liberals... both think that you're either with them, or against them, and there is no in-between. Unfortunately, there may be enough of them in Delaware to blow what had been a semi-decent chance for the GOP to take the Senate. Hopefully they'll come to their senses and nominate Castle, though.

It's my understanding he voted for cap and trade. may as well have a dem then him. Shoot! why am i even answering this. HE LOST!
The PEOPLE won.

TEA PARTY, BABY!!!!! Keep laughing it up, lefties. You're getting bitchslapped by the Tea Party. The party that really isn't a party. :lamo

The guys name Buck or something like that?

Dems, libs and REPUBLICANS are sitting around scratching their heads going WT* is going on around here.
It's been a long time since I've had this much fun watching politics.

The same people that say Donnell doesn't have a chance say Angle has no chance yet Angle and Reid are still within 2 points of each other in the polls

I'm not crazy about her (Angle) but I'm sending her a few dollars. I hope we can pull her across the finish line.
I've had all I can take of Reid.
I think O'Donnell can win and the more people who say she can't is just going to piss off the tea party. :)

By your logic, if the choice next Senate election is between Scott Brown and a Massachussetts (i.e. far-left) Democrat, you and any "principled" conservative should support the Democrat.

If you really cared about principles, you'd want people with principles closest to yours in office. Wanting a Democrat to win rather than a moderate Republican is not principled, it is just nonsensical.

No, I said I would support the Conservative over Scott Brown.

Nice try though Dav.

And you said earlier that it's better if a Democrat wins than a RINO.

So if Scott Brown IS re-nominated, then by your logic, you should back the Democrat.

palin backed the dame in new hampshire, kelly ayotte, who lost to ovide lamontagne tonite, who was endorsed by jim demint who's been running that kinda tea flavored alternate to the rscc

both mrs alaska and mr waterloo pitched for odonnel in biden's seat

mike buck is the tea drinker in colorado who beat the establishment republican who wore high heels, i forget her name

fyi

enjoy your new gop, all!

it's sure to end up with at least 48 seats upstairs

coons is no certainty in delaware, that race WILL assuredly tighten

mcmahon, for example, is today within SIX in CONNECTICUT (do you know the constitution state)

that's amazing, a tea party extremist almost within the margin of error in the most educated, most affluent "state" in the nation

mcmahon has gained more than a dozen points on blumenthal who lied about his nam record since their primary a few weeks ago

RealClearPolitics - Election 2010 - Connecticut Senate - McMahon vs. Blumenthal

mcmahon is one HOT outsider longshot

toomey is equally unusual---pennsylvania, and all

angle is another who was sposed to have no chance, but she's tied today with reid and has been for a couple weeks

delaware and connecticut, however, are hardly nevada

we'll see

either way, coming close is good enough---obama's DONE

and, once more, just look at the exciting new face of YOUR party of reagan

party on, all, pramatists AND people of principle

palin backed the dame in new hampshire, kelly ayotte, who lost to ovide lamontagne tonite

Not yet. That race is now within 2%, with less than 40% reporting.

we can still take the senate without delaware, by the way

and it's way premature to write off tonite's exciting new upstart in the blue hen state

but to do so, to seize upstairs sans biden's bench, we would have to take california, washington AND wisconsin

raese in west virginia is also possible, he's suddenly within 5, has all the momentum, and obama is pretty universally loathed in the old homestead of kkk byrd

and, like i said, the wrestler in CT has a real shot

yes, there are several paths to a republican senate that do not include mike castle

did you see this?

red cheeseheads, with 67% of the vote in, have outvoted blues FOUR HUNDRED AND FOUR THOUSAND to 152,000

2.7 to one---IN WISCONSIN

worry

thanks for the update!

keep us informed, friend

Ayotte is now in the lead, and it's looking more and more like she'll end up winning.

That's what Rush says.

You're confusing me.

one of the many lessons to learn from this landscape altering development---voters sympathize with them (a lot of em women) that have been getting just totally trashed by the establishment, these days

same thing happened to nikki haley in SC who's gonna be the next gub from the palmettos---some pretty nasty stuff was said

ms's angle and brewer are too often on the receiving end...

we'll see which shoe next falls

Isn't going to matter. Delaware is not going to elect this woman.

I wouldn't be so sure. Delaware has never really been a democratic state. There have been republicans as conservative represent DE before.

But...Goddamit, they had to choose her in the primaries...

Or I could vote 3rd Party. The days of accepting "Well at least he's a Republican" are over. The GOP has greatly disappointed me so far this year.
