So our worldwide image does rest in the hands of Beck and Palin. Got it.

youd be surprised to what extent it does.

No. That's not what I said.

Beck and Palin can tone down the Teabrains.

Teabrains? Speaking of reeling in the fringe, reel yourself in.

Um... keeping the troops safe.

You know, you keep insisting that you're not saying Beck and Palin hold our world image in their hands, yet you keep illustrating how, under your own terms, they do.

I don't even know what the **** that means. Could you translate or paraphrase that **** into something that makes sense?

Palin removed her head from her lower region long enough to make one statement about how burning Korans is bad for business. For that one moment of clarity in her life, the U.S. Military salutes her.

Yeah, it's real funny that people be made to feel unwanted in their own country.

Laugh it up.

Meanwhile that Dove group down in Florida is going to be burning the Koran... Well done, far-rights. Way to move the U.S. up on the intolerant scale. We're now less the 6 degrees away from stoning people. Good show!

I think you'll see by any reasonable reading of what I said about the "church" in FL burning the Koran, that I don't agree with it. But hey, don't let that get in the way of your absurd generalizations.

Wait...

This just in....

Looks like Palin, already did the right thing...

Palin: Koran burning is 'unnecessary provocation'

Bravo, caribou barbie!

Shoving mosques down America's throat is un-neccesary provocation, too. When you intentionally offend an entire nation, you have expect this kind of behavior. Isn't that what we're told about why Muslims hate us? But that's ok, since they're the enlightened victims and we're the blood thirsty oppressionists? You know how the Left sounds, right about now?

OH OK!

So this never really was just about the Islamic Cultural Centre at Ground Zero.

Shoving Mosques down your throat?

Jeez... so... how many mosques is too many mosques? And how is trying to build one say in Tennessee offensive?

Ultimately, it's about the Ground Zero Mosque. This is how this all got started.

Except that it IS an example of the intolerance we see today. It is a very extreme example, for sure, but an example nonetheless.

We will see much more "intolerance" if one group is perceived to be given more rights than another. People in the democracies have been very tolerant of Muslims, inviting them into their countries to improve their lives while nothing reciprocal has every been demonstrated by Muslims. Muslims 'sensitivities' have also been forefront whole the sensitivities of others in the host countries has been made to take a back seat.

When one group is being made to feel they have less rights than another, and the leadership doesn't step in, then there will be vigilantism. We can say it is wrong and it shouldn't happen, but it certainly will, both in Europe and in North America. One way tolerance cannot work for long.

While the tolerance toward Muslims continues while the lack of tolerance by Muslims escalates, you can be sure that there will be more incidents like this and, eventually, violence.

Oh ok.

So it's ok now to oppose all mosques? I mean you did say Mosques...

New York City has over 100 mosques so there is obviously no intolerance towards Muslims. However, when asked not to build a Mosque near ground zero, Muslims leaders have refused, claiming that the American people were "bigots" and "haters" by daring to oppose this one mosque site.

This strongly suggests that the idea of 'tolerance' is not running in both directions.

It makes perfect sense.

I couldn't care less what Palin did or didn't do, and the idea of you speaking for the U.S. military gives me the whooping giggles.

Show me where they said that...

Daisy Khan said “It’s not even Islamophobia, it’s beyond Islamophobia. It’s hate of Muslims.”

There are dozens of other similar respnoses and you should know this, Jetboogieman. It's easy enough to look up for yourself. The response by Muslims should be common knowledge to anyone interested in the controversy.

As Mars is part of this physical and mathematical universe, why, yes, it makes sense on Mars. And everywhere else, too.

But, those who like to fan flames for ulteria reasons actually made more of this New Yokers likely woould have on their own. There really was no reason for anyone to be insultered or hurt or upset over this center being built.

Nor is there any reason for the mosque to be built at the 9/11 site.

This tolerance and sensitivity has to go both ways or it won't work over the long term, no matter how much the Muslims and their friends lecture.

No one has been more tolerant towards Muslims than the Americans. No one. And this has never been reciprocated when Muslims have the majority. Never. It seems that Muslims and their supporters will always want more, without ever giving anything in return. And if you don't give them what they want they threaten, once again, to murder more innocent people. This is just the way it is.

This is going to lead to very serious problems in the future, just as it will in Europe. We should just say no now to a victory Mosque rather than pissing off 71% of the American people.

No one is building one at the site, though I would see no reason one shouldn't be. And while I do think most Americans are quite tolerant, patting ourselves on the back doesn't change that we were not attacked by Muslims on the whole any more than Christians on the whole put on white sheets and abused people of color. To relate all Muslims to al Qaeda and their ilk is just as stupid as linking all christians to the klan.

And while I doubt your 71% number no mater where it came from, there is no reason for any American to pissed. Irrational anger should not be encouraged or supported.

What would you know about who the military "salutes"?

Which site are you referring to now?

No, 1.6 billion did not attack NYC city on 9/11. We all know that. Just as all Britons didn't bomb Dresden or all Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor. And the Americans are not patting themselves on the back for this, I am patting them on the back for this. I'm Canadian. But why shouldn't Americans feel proud of themselves. You're British and a BBC fan, right?? And why this talk of Christians? Are you deliberately muddying the waters or are you into moral equivalence? Have Christians been putting bombs on transportation systems in Europe? The idea is ludicrous and we should just stick to the facts.

To relate all Muslims to al Qaeda and their ilk is just as stupid as linking all christians to the klan.

Well it's pretty stupid to relate Christians to the Klan all right but we do know that many Muslims support terrorism, Sharia law and so on. The same cannot be said of Christians.

And while I doubt your 71% number no mater where it came from, there is no reason for any American to pissed. Irrational anger should not be encouraged or supported.

Poll: Most Say "Ground Zero Mosque" Is Inappropriate - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Why shouldn't Americans be angry at Muslims for creating terror in the democracies and killing Innocent people everywhere? If it were Germans, Koreans, or Brazilians, wouldn't you get a little concerned? It seems you really bought into the innocent Muslim theory, despite your lack of evidence.

After 10 years of good will and the refusal to stereotype, Americans are starting to fight back at this very disrespectful act in NYC. And unless Muslims draw in, and don't overplay their hand, it will get worse. The soft approach has not worked in Europe and we're quite aware that it won't work here.
