Beck, Palin Stress 'Honor' at Rally

I haven't lost my honour though. Does that mean people who attended the rally felt they didn't have enough honour?

I still don't get it.

You're not an American. It's ok that you don't get it. We don't expect you to get it.

People keep asking about the honor. Doctor Zero, at Hotair.com, has done an extraordinary job of answering that question.

If you believe any of that, then I understand why you would buy the foolish conspiracy theories of Beck and his gasbag ilk.

"We dishonor ourselves when we declare the rights and freedoms of our fellow citizens to be conditional, and subject to our needs." - says the person who votes to take away marriage rights from gays in California.

"Where is the honor In shrieking that people who disagree with your politics are “interchangeable with the KKK?” says the person supporting a rally hosted by a man who called the President racist, and said that he hates his mother and grandparents and compares the president to Hitler.

"We have not diminished into timid weaklings, unworthy of the trust of our ruling class." says the person who has been and strives to be a part of the ruling class.

Can't you see that every single criticism levied here is just as easily levied against those who gathered there. The only thing is that you voted the other way in 2008. This is politics and nothing more.

I suppose these are the people who felt they lost their honor.

YouTube - The McCain-Palin Mob

I have said time and time again Obama experiences a lot of irrational hate from the right. This is just one rally. These are the same crop of people who feel that America has lost it's honor.

So I suppose if you don't like progressive thought and secularism then yes, you probably wrongly think America has lost it's honor.

Give us some examples. Thanks in advance.

I just gave you three in the post. Did you bother reading?

You made some baseless accusations about me, but you didn't show me where it's ok to take my money and give it to someone else.

The organizers did not appear to have planned for a crowd so large. Thousands sat on patches of lawn out of sight of the few Jumbo-trons that displayed the action on the stage. Several times, portions of the crowd, unable to hear the speakers, chanted "louder, louder." Many people wore shirts with American flags and faces of heroes from the American Revolution. People followed the instructions to bring no political signs. "These are just totally normal, go-to-work, Honey-can-I-do-the-dishes people -- who are fed up," said David McGregor, a real-estate developer who had flown to Washington from Orlando, Fla.

After the rally, a number of people said they took as the main message of the gathering that they had to get their own houses in order. "This is about each of us individually," said John Houck, a Vietnam War veteran who had come from Raleigh, N.C. The gathering was also his first-ever political event. "We are not rally people," he said, standing beside his wife, Louise.

No fighting, no guns, no riots. Just well behaved ordinary people who believe this country has taken a wrong turn.

Fantastic :)

Beck, Palin Stress 'Honor' at Rally - WSJ.com

What crock of ****. You really believe all this crap? I've got plenty of honor in the way I live and the fact that I've served my country. I don't need two dumbasses telling me I need to get it again, especially two overpaid money grubbing nitwits.

BTW I'm not really seeing the numbers you are. I guess it's a subjective thing.

When basic rights are taken away from American citizens, then our honor is at stake.

very well said enigma!

like what, specifically?

"We dishonor ourselves when we declare the rights and freedoms of our fellow citizens to be conditional, and subject to our needs." - says the person who votes to take away marriage rights from gays in California.

actually Beck has declared himself pretty agnostic on homosexual marriage:

O'Reilly: Do you believe that gay marriage is a threat to country in any way?

Beck: A threat to the country?

O'Reilly: Yeah, is it going to harm it in anyway?

Beck: No I don't. Will the gays come and get us?

O'Reilly: No, okay. Is it going to harm the country?

Beck: I believe that Thomas Jefferson said: "If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket what difference is it to me?

"Where is the honor In shrieking that people who disagree with your politics are interchangeable with the KKK

:) i think you are confusing Beck with the Democratic Party's reaction to the Tea Party? :)

says the person supporting a rally hosted by a man who called the President racist

actually he since retracted that and said that he was incorrect when he said it, that he had that confused with the Presidents' backing in African Liberation Theology.

and said that he hates his mother and grandparents and compares the president to Hitler.

1. actually as far as i'm aware Beck has never said that President Obama hated his mother or grandparents; although he probably has discussed Obama's "typical white person" comment, which was a denigration of his grandmother.

2. you compare a man to hitler, you have no reason to complain when he compares you right back, especially if you are closer to a fascist approach to politics than that man

"We have not diminished into timid weaklings, unworthy of the trust of our ruling class." says the person who has been and strives to be a part of the ruling class.

actually refuses to be, you will recall the discussion on how interesting it was that the rally insisted on remaining as apolitical as possible? but i would love to hear how Beck is part of 'the ruling class'.

When basic rights are taken away from American citizens, then our honor is at stake.

when we choose to turn our back on our founding values, then we have damaged our honor.

What basic rights have been taken away? What values have we turned our backs on?

What does honor have to do with anything? Is the American right using meaningless words meant to incite some sort of response from the left? Next you'll be telling us that stopping gays from marrying has something to do with teh childrun.

What basic rights have been taken away? What values have we turned our backs on?

Obama's drilling moratorium is killing jobs all along the gulf coast. What happened to our right to life, liberty and persuit of happiness? Is that not a basic value and a right?

The government doesn't have the authority to kill my job, while at the same time raising my taxes so as to spend the money saving someone else's.

So you have a basic right to have the job of your choice? This is what you are saying?

I have the right for the government not to legislate my job out of existance.
