This bull had his eye on the crowd.

A 1,100-pound bull hopped over a fence and went wild in the stands, trampling spectators Wednesday in Spain.

When the rampage was over, 40 people were injured, including a 10-year-old boy who was sent to intensive care for injuries caused by the bull reportedly falling on him.

The bull had twice tried to enter the 3,500 person crowd before his successful third attempt.

Anyone else cheering the bull? Bull fighting is one of the most barbaric forms of entertainment in the world imo.

Go bull.

A great case of animals strike back, I could just see it in the Bull's eyes, "So you in the crowd thinks its funny, well I am not going to take it anymore"

Excellent, I love it! :)

Sorry about the kid, but maybe this will teach the barbarians a thing or two? Not likely but one can dream. :)

No bull?

Yeah, you're intentionally pissing off an animal made of 1800 pounds of solid muscle, with two gigantic horns. What could go wrong?

Gotta side with the bull here.

Bullfighting is hardly a sport. It's a barbaric ritual that I wish the Spaniards would do away with.

Maybe they should switch to bullriding? Instead of being killed, the bull gets to buck some crazy guys off his back about once a week for a few years, then be put out to pasture to eat and **** for the rest of his life.

Ironically the Catalan parliament voted to bring an end to bullfighting just two weeks before. This might help to bring the rest of Spain behind their action.

I guess the logic of making the stands a lot higher than the animal can jump didn't occur to those people. Didn't the Romans make the stands higher than what the gladiators and animals can jump?

Maybe bulls were smaller when the stadium were built? It looked like a kind of old stadium, possibly built back before we started doping up animals.

Hmm....the bull is facing deliberate murder in the field, and you call it crazy when it sees a way out and takes it?

It's a pity, it really is, that he didn't kill more people in the stands.

I ALWAYS cheer for the bull.

Oh, I realized the use of the word "crazy" was the article headline. You didn't call it crazy, someone who possibly supports the torture of animals did.

Good lord, we see eye-to-eye on this. Not only can bulls fly, but pigs can now, too. ;-)

I was in Spain with a group about 8 years ago, and decided to not attend the bull fights. Some went and most said it was an unpleasant experience.

You mean you don't get a big kick out of watching an animal suffer and slowly die? Imagine that ...

Most were naive to the brutality. They held some sort of romanticized notion of bullfighting until they saw with their own eyes.

Yeah, I imagine Hemingway probably glossed over the gory aspects.

We lock people up for making dogs fight. This primitive bloodsport is every bit as cruel.

I didn't know the bulls actually died from that until recently. I still don't know exactly what happens to the bulls, I thought they just teased them with a red thing and tried to avoid them, but yes, I hate harming and killing animals. My dad's a deer hunter and he said that they have to kill deer for population control, and when winter comes the deer don't have enough food, but he puts food for them(and I guess the other huntters do too, I dunno) so they don't suffer, so I can understand deer hunting...

Anyway, I saw the video and it looked to me like the bull ran straight for a guy in a red shirt. I wouldn't like to wear red around a bull, I don't think...

Yes! That was amazing news... nice to see that a lot of Americans were backing a group of locals from the area (the locals actually started this). It is because of them that there was a vote. Glad to see so many being supportive of this group of Spaniards.

Spain's Catalonia bans bullfighting

Barcelona, Spain (CNN) -- Catalonia became the first Spanish mainland region to ban bullfighting after its parliament voted Wednesday to outlaw the tradition on animal cruelty grounds.

And yeah... imagine a bull getting upset about being tortured to death.

Barbaric indeed.

I hope Catalonia is only the beginning of the end of this shameful "sport"
