Decision Not to Rebuild Church Destroyed on 9/11 Surprises Greek Orthodox Leaders

Why should he disclose where the funding is coming from?

Since he has connections to Hamas the question is extremely valid. Unless you don't care if the money comes from terrorist organizations like Hamas or Iran.

Does the church "stop the presses" to tell everyone where their money comes from?

Do you have any evidence the church is hiding their funding? Of course not.

You're just speculating.

Based off available facts.

At least you stopped the ridiculous bigot personal attacks.

Which church do you know of that publicizes its donor list?

Hmm... wonder who's prohibiting him from raising money then. The tooth fairy?

While Dan may want the issue to be nice and simple saying it's the Greek Orthodox issue with money, it's really not that simple. Nothing ever is... especially where downtown realestate is concerned, religion is concerned, or rebuilding and zoning laws are concerned. Yet, those of us who know better are supposed to just throw out what we know and believe it's all just about the money.

Yea, that damn Liberal web site, FOX News, reports that they are prohibited from raising funds on the trip. I hate that damn Communist Nazi news channel.

If the facts are there, why dont you people you know present them to NY port authority. Thats pretty much the legal way to stop it.

The dreaded "I know you are but what am I" defense.

"Connections" is a very subjective word.
Iran is not a terrorist organization it is a country.

Why should they present you with their sponsors?
It's none of you business.

Why do you support big government like that?

No, you're basing it off prejudice.

Islam, Sharia Law, beheadings, torture, throat-cutting: accepted.
Greek Orthodox Church: bigotry.

Liberal-progressives: BUILD THE MOSQUE, destroy the church.

Liberalism + Islam = death.

Michael Savage was right all along.

Apples and Oranges.

Port Authority controls that land.

The Mosque is going up over an old Burlington Coat Factory several blocks away... Not the hallowed ground Sean and Glenn make it out to be.

Sorry to have to tell you this, Vicchio, but your masters aren't giving you all the facts.

Be well.:2wave:

BTW - that 'radical' Imam... Um, he worked for the FBI.

(oops):lamo:lamo

Prove it. :)

Is it legal? Yep. Is it about the most insensitive and provactive action imaginable, especially from this Hamas-sympathizing imam? Absolutely.

Just consider this whole bizarre, unfathomable discussion.

If the neighbor's daughter across the street was shot and killed in an armed robbery, I'd think twice before inviting them to a gun show. Sure, there's nothing criminal about the gun show or the propietors there, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

You don't build a mosque next to Osama bin Laden's crowning achievement. Re-zoning is in order.

It 2 blocks away from the WTC and to be quite honest, the rest of us shouldn't have to walk on egg shells, to make sure those people don't get offended.

I can imagine at least 100 more insensitive and provacative actions than building a mosque two blocks away from ground zero.

That have happened or that could happen?

And no taller than the WTC memorial which is 2 stories...... yet the Mosque is good to go at 13 stories. Hmmmmmmmm.

Is it possible that there's a zoning issue the prohibits the dome from being built so high?

Perhaps the city planners realize that doing so would block the view of the proposed Ground Zero monument and don't want anything to get in the way of the view.

I don't know this for sure, but since you are doing "research"....

To the best of my research that is true....

That have happened or that could happen?

That are "imaginable". Erod said that building the mosque two blocks form ground zero is "about the most insensitive and provactive action imaginable". I disagree.

I can imagine many things more insensitive and provocative.

I can't imagine nothing more insensative than a Temple of Hate dedicated to glorifying 9-11 and "America's fault" as stated by Imam Rauf.

There is only one thing: Mr. Obama attending the upcoming 9-11 Memorial and speaking out on behalf of this Temple of Hate.

How about a big "You ****ing deserved it" sign with a picture of Osama taking a **** on an American flag while anally violating an image of Uncle Sam with an airplane shaped dildo?

That seems a helluvalot more insensitive and provocative to me. And that only took a moment of imagining to come up with.

Damn, that was pretty evil. :rofl
