Awww! Hugs!
If you see my posts on the immigration and death penalty threads, though, all doubt of my rightness will be removed.
I'm pro choice. That doesn't make me a centrist either. Its about honesty.
Someone who is pro gay marriage, anti capatilism, attacks 2 of the most prominant members of backing and enforcing arizona law, attacks Palin and her daughter calling her a "whore" isn't a centrist.
Wait...are you talking about Catz or Arnold Schwartzenegar...Im so confused...how did he come up in this conversation???

I've responded to your claims about Palin downstairs, including the relevant cites so people can see them in context. The thread itself resides there, so I can't link to it for Vegas reasons.
I'd be so ****ing happy if Sarah Palin restricted her activities to Alaska. You betcha I would.
Clearly, Bristol is the designated "slut" of the family.
My response to comments I've made about Arpaio and Brewer are here: http://www.debatepolitics.com/break...icas-kidnapping-capitol-5.html#post1058916654
I am not anti-capitalist, both my boyfriend and father were/are small business owners, and I work for a small business. I'm pro-regulation of capitalism and pro "having a safety net for people if the unthinkable happens." I do not, however, believe in longterm sustained support of people who refuse to help themselves, and believe that welfare in this country requires further reforms.
Most of us have been spoon fed the glories of capitalism and the free market since we were old enough to eat at a table. But a few years ago, I saw a study much like this one, and thought, "What if we're not getting it? What if the aquisition of wealth isn't really the way to happiness?"
I am pro-limits on abortion after the 24th week, when the fetus becomes viable. Should medical technology make that possible earlier, I would support changing this to reflect current medical advancements.
I am pro-gay marriage, for constitutional reasons. Unlike some pseudo-conservatives, I actually believe in and uphold the constitution and bill of rights, rather than knee-jerking to whatever the bogeyman of the day is (muslims, gays, etc.).
You don't deserve a response for your dishonesty in this thread, but I'm posting this for anyone else who might be tempted to believe your absurd claims about me.
I've thoroughly spanked you upstairs and downstairs, and we both know it. Get over it.
Again...OBVIOUSLY she does a fine job of defending herself...but I suspect its more personal than politics with you two.
I know of conservatives who are pro-gay marriage. I know of liberals who are not. Ive never seen her denounce captialism.
I know of a LOT of people that think Sherriff Joe should hire someone to do his public speaking for him and I have seen her support his actions...just not the guy...so in that she sounds like my gun totin Marine brother-in- law. And hell..in a lot of ways I am as conservative as they come but I attack Palin regularly (but not her daughter...shame on you Catz!). I actually had high hopes for Palin back when she was being talked about as a VP candidate. Then we formally 'met' her. Yikes. SHe does herself and conservatives a disservice every time she opens her mouth. SHE needs a handler in the worst of ways!!!!
I think that Texmaster is under the mistaken impression that a centrist is a "conservative-lite." I.e., socially conservative, palin-supporting, anti-gay, pro-unbridled capitalism.
That's incorrect.
The Centrist Party — The Centrist Party
So, mainly, this is a definitional failure by Tex, but then...what else is new?
Catz, you just converted me to centrism.
Centrism is boring. You gotta do something extreme. Like Mountain Dew extreme! That's the libertarian party, we're like Mountain Dew!
Actually, we're kind of like the iced coffee of politics. Perky and useful for staying awake.
Better call that decaf...cuz I finally found a 'party' with less support than the Libertarian Party!
Catholicism doesn't call for the death penalty and/or corporal punishment for homosexuality.
Actually, we're kind of like the iced coffee of politics. Perky and useful for staying awake.
Yeah you can try to say that. But try staying awake in that stuffy room as you sip on your tea. Meanwhile the extreme folk will be shredding it down the mountain on off road skateboards man, doing ollies over bears and nose stall off of elk man! WHEWWWWWW Can you handle the extreme! Do the Dew!
*cough*
This is either not enough coffee or too much coffee. I haven't figured it out.

Well, from the perspective of throwing stones, Christianity's history isn't any more enlightened than that of Islam's. Pardon my pun.
Well if Jesus and Mohammad actually existed (which I doubt) then that is not entirely true as the historicity surrounding the two depicts Jebus as somewhat of a pacifist;
Mountain Dew sucks, we're more like Low Carb Monster Import, lean, mean, and blue.
Well if Jesus and Mohammad actually existed (which I doubt) then that is not entirely true as the historicity surrounding the two depicts Jebus as somewhat of a pacifist; whereas, it depicts Mohammad as pereptrating genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Jewish Banu tribes of the Arabian Penninsula.
