Outsted USDA employee Sherrod plans to sue blogger

How about...

"I can see Russia from my house!"
She never said it, yet plenty of idiots claim she did.

LOL.....Didn't I predict that you would come up with that?

ROTFLMFAO.....you didn't even get to that part of my post....too funny.

Your post wasn't worth reading.

And you ignored the rest.

Just like I said you'd do in the first post in response to you, you've "ignored".

Mr Vic 3, DD 0.

Carry on son, you've been owned.

That's just a humorous paraphrasing of what she actually did say, which is no less retarded.

"you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska"

You forgot the rest:

"from an island in Alaska"

Slightly less retarded when the complete statement is posted. ;)

TECHNICALLY, you can.. if the weather is right and you are in the right place...

she was trying to make a point about how close the two were and how much interaction there is between Russia and Alaska.

But hey, she's a FEMALE Conservative, she's not allowed minor linguistic errors and anything said that can be taken "literally" trumps whatever point being made. Joe Biden would have never survived as a Republican.

No, it is no less retarded. At all.

LMFAO I don't give a flying **** if she's double tranny. She's a ****ing idiot. She was being asked about her experience dealing with foreign heads of state, specifically about her insight into Russia and she answers with "We can see Russian from Alaska"?? So ****ing what if you CAN, that's not the point. The point is, that doesn't give her jack ****ing **** of insight into Russian foreign policy or how to deal with head's of state.

you don't think any maritime issues come up during the fishing season between the two entities?

Riverrat bought intot he narrative that Palin is an idiot, no amount of discussion will change RR's mind. The "official" word is out, and one cannot go against orders.

Regardless, Sarah Palin would have had more foreign policy experience than Barack Obama being an unexperienced senator :ssst: And yes, you can see Russia from Alaska, the Diomede Islands (one Russia, one Alaska) are right next to each other and can be seen from each other. Regardless, the media tried to take a statement, misquote it, and then spin it with dishonesty to make Palin look stupid.

If she actually worked with Russian foreign head's of state and has some insight into the the country's foreign policies via "fishing boats", then perhaps THAT is what she should have explained instead of saying "We can see russia from Alaska" and that makes her qualified.

It's the equivelent of saying "Arizona borders Mexico" I got her point.

If by 'media' you mean SNL, then yes. They did reframe quote. But the original is no less stupid.

You can see Russia from Alaskan land...the two diamond isles come to mind immediately.

And if some gov of AZ said they were qualified to deal with Mexican head's of state and had insight into their foreign policy simply because they could see Mexico from places in AZ, I would think they were just as ****ing retarded as I think Palin is.

That's not the point. I don't care if you can or not. (and I know that you CAN) But that's not the point. Does seeing Russian landmass from those vantage points give you some insight into Russian foreign policy and experience dealing with Russian head's of state? No? Exactly.

Actually, it does involve the governor in negotiations of fishing waters, security plans for the heavy nuclear arsenal stationed there, and dealing with the heavy military population there.

Also, there's a huge amount of travel back and forth between Alaska and Russia, just as there is with Canada. If you ever go down Ninilchuk way, you see the influence of that and how whole sections of the arm are practically Russia themselves. Surely you aren't so daft as to believe the Governor of the state bordering our cold war nemesis isn't at least briefed on how to handle foreign policy issues with them...

Just to make the point: I do not like Palin. Not going to. However, you do not get to where she is by being stupid. She may not be as smart as most in politics, in the arena of politics, but to say she is stupid is I think overstating things by a lot.

This ends the discussion on Palin. I would like to thank you all for participating.

I can see the moon from my house. Does that make me an astronaut?

Gee, I don't know...do you share fishing waters with, a mixed population with, and sit on top of a nuclear arsenal pointed at the moon?

No? Didn't think so...now would you care to make a point or are we just trading smart-assed quips as sorry excuses for half assed arguments?

Then she should have said THAT, instead of saying that 'seeing russia' made her qualified and gave her insight and experience.

There are those who will not even acknowledge that she WAS governor, and refer to her as the "mayor of Wasilla."

Perhaps she's not the dummy, but those who didn't get teh meaning of what she was saying. ;)
