Obama's message to voters: Things could be worse

... most of our existing debt has been accrued under Republican administrations and policies, a reality I doubt conservatives will ever successfully remedy or address.

No much came from 40 years of a democrat majority in congress. It is congress that controls the purse strings and allows presidents to spend the money

I never admitted he wasn't off on his numbers, but the situation is so unpredictable right now. The market is being so erratic right now its pretty hard to estimate anything.

Look, MAYBE without the stimulus things COULD have been better. But nothing in the stimulus stopped private enterprise from hiring, they didn't.

The situation is unpredictable because of Obama. He is hostile to business, just look at how he savaged AIG execs for bonus cash Congress voted to give them; and I do believe he voted for this as Senator.

Obi is such an economic illiterate he actually said businesses should fund new jobs by taking on debt to pay for said jobs. He acts as if business is some type of social program; it is in a way... but not in the manner he asserts.

"If [small businesses] can get the bank loans to boost their payroll... they will do so."

Anyone with any COMMON SENSE knows you don't take on debt to make payroll... you reduce and cut, so when the business climate is improved you're still around.

Nothing stopped businesses from hiring except the fact the foundation for economic revival hasn't been established. Just the opposite; a climate of hostility and uncertainty has been fomented.

That is the problem. Obama, the economic illiterate, is the anti-Reagan, the anti-JFK. There is no hope, just the same worn out Lib tactics of class warfare, hostility to wealth producers and the tax and spend, spend, spend mentality.
