Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Finds

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

Yeah right! Ha! You've done a bit of projecting here. I assure you from my 20 years in the Balto region, it was not Republicans bribing the inner city. In fact that is just laughable.

Well, I'm surprised to find myself pointing out once again that Baltimore is not in Minnesota.

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

I live IN Saint Paul. I took a quick look. No Baltimore to be found.

Maybe it's only here on election day?

And that would be just the Democrats doing that, would it? Besides, is Baltimore in Minnesota these days?

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

Well, well, well.....Demo's cheating to gain a Senate seat? Parish the thought!

Now stonewalling to make sure that they can cheat in the future. Is anyone really surprised. Frankin is a joke! A mental midget! And a liar. Just like his boss Obama.

Thoughts?

You see it over and over....Any time there is a close election the Republicans will lose.......The dems always find extra votes in the dead, felons or even in the trash can........

President Bush's election was not decided by crooked state counting of the votes like they did here in Washington and Minnesota where dead and felon votes were counted for the dems.

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

No, you don't understand. I really do need a citation. Until then, they are just baseless allegations.

Hey, where did danarhea go? After I proved him wrong about that fake Franken picture, he suddenly disappeared from the thread!

Inorite!? *sigh*

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

Um, no it isn't. Conservatives say that but no one can ever point to the skit, show a video of it, or a picture from it. You believe everything you read on the internet? It's a phoney. The Ohio Republicans who faked it got caught, and got fired.

Here's an article proving it's a hoax: Drudge smears "joker" Franken with doctored photo | Media Matters for America

Here's another: The 15 Most Shameless Fake Photos Ever Passed Off as Real | Cracked.com

Man! Are you gullible.

You got me there. I actually thought it was from a SNL skit. After all, he has done some crazy things on SNL. So it looks like "gullible" got my ass this time. LOL. OK, so here is the deal.....

1) Franken was photshopped by some asshole who wouldn't know an ethic if it hit him in the face.

2) But the picture is still funny as hell. I can't stop laughing.

3) But, just to make things fair, here is something for you to laugh about.

4) Are we even now?

The Bush pic there with him holding his two babies is a low blow Dan. Making fun of a proud dad is just not right.

No it was the Supreme Court overturning the will of the people and annointing GWB. That should never happen again....just look at the mess that we got left with after we was done destroying America.

Sigh, when you do things like this, you make the rest of us liberals look bad. Who got the most votes in FLA? Damned if I know. If you let an election be too close to call, then it is lawyers who will decide it, and whose lawyers argue best wins. Gore has no one to blame but himself. I may not like it, but the truth is that Bush won, and no amount of hand wringing is going to change that.

Sorry Redress....I love ya....but what happened in Florida should NEVER ever happen again. The Supreme Court themselves said that their decision held no stare decisis which should tell everyone that it was activism at its highest level. We all saw the results and our nation will be paying the price of GWB for a very long time.

I agree at least with that part. It was one of the worst Supreme Court decisions ever, and not because I disliked its conclusion. Even conservative Constitutional scholars hate it, because it was blatantly and obviously political, and had no precedent.

The whole matter should have been left to the Florida Supreme Court -- there was no real federal issue. If they had decided for Bush, I think a lot of people would have accepted it and you wouldn't still be hearing gripes about the US S.Ct.

Seriously, law students will be studying this case for years, along with Dred Scott and Korematsu as some of the court's worst decisions ever, since they were based solely on politics and not law.

Absolutely correct. A state supreme court NEVER should bastardize a long standing election law to favor one candidate over another granting secondary recounts that did not exist in the original law. But then again Al Gore will probably never run for president again so that probably won't happen in the near future.
The Supreme Court themselves said that their decision held no stare decisis which should tell everyone that it was activism at its highest level.
You're right, I mean, how DARE the SCOTUS tell a lower court they need to correctly apply laws within their jurisdiction. Damn the nerve![sarcasm off]
We all saw the results and our nation will be paying the price of GWB for a very long time.
And this is political hackery at it's finest. There were some good/bad/and iffy things to come out of the Bush presidency and that blanket statement just shows partisanship.

At issue was the FLSC misconstruing recount law to create a recount Gore was not entitled to. The SCOTUS had every right to weigh in, as well the president is a U.S. federal representative so yes the federal DID have every right to make sure a singular state body didn't get a decision wrong.

MMmm hmm. Wonder if you'd say the same thing if they decided Gore won.

You realize it was a STATE law that the Supreme Court ruled on? Oh, that's right, conservatives only care about state's rights when it gives them the result they want.

The vast majority of all Constitutional scholars, lawyers and judges will tell you it's a bad decision. That obviously includes many conservatives. Forgive me if I pay attention to experts in the field as opposed to some anonymous guy on the internet.

They didn't decide who won. They followed what the law stated about recounts

Ah ever the predictable liberal you are Groucho.

Back that bs statement up. Show us your evidence.

Forgive us for not taking your word on the subject. :lamo

Re: Felons Voting Illegally May Have Put Franken Over the Top in Minnesota, Study Fin

Nah, not going to do your research for you and I'm convinced it wouldn't make a damn bit of difference to you guys in the slightest. You got what you wanted and you don't care how you got it.

I should point out that unlike you folks, I am NOT an anonymous guy on the internet; I am a practicing attorney, have taught Constitutional law, and while you may disagree with my analysis, I at least know what I'm talking about.
