Not So Neighborly Associations Foreclosing On Homes

Just out of curiosuty, has no one tried to search for his/her ip or by email address?

The letters come in the US mail from Fort Worth with no return address.

Oh. thought it was email, sorry.

Yeah that screams old people

We're the oldest people in this sub-division. It must be uptight (60's word) people that bite their nails over their property value.

Here is appeal from a different property that the purchaser Mark Disanti got screwed on.

If this is any evidence about it he will go thru the appeals process as far as he may go. I have little sympathy for him he is assumed to be an expert and should know about the leans on existing property. And he will no doubt get burned on this also.

I also see that the purchaser Jad Aboul-Jibin was associated with Mark Disanti and Mark Disanti was associated with the lawyer of the management company handling the collections and management of the HOA. So it does stink to high heaven I'm looking for specific sources to make this more solid.

I HATE, absolutely ****ing hate HOA's and their bull****. Currently, i have a condo in south Florida that i am close to unloading because the HOA is about 10k per year (not counting the club fee), and I really do not have time to golf anymore. Last year, the unit above me had a leak and it spread to my bathroom not only causing significant damage, but ruining the rug that goes to the guest bedroom. Insurance paid for the repairs, but would not cover the cost of cleaning the rug. All of the repairs were taken care of before i could even get back down here (i'm here now finalizing the sale). When i got here, there was a bill from the cleaners for $3,500 bucks and all that was cleaned was a ****ing bedroom! They claimed to do another bedroom and the office, but were completely full of ****. I told the cleaning company i was not going to pay them a dime over their competitors cost to clean one room of that size. Four months later, i get a letter from my attorney stating the property management company (HOA) is attempting to foreclose because they claim i have not paid my HOA fee's for four months. How could this be? The cleaning company got pissed and billed the property management company (HOA) and they paid the ****ers!!!!!! The board then signed a new agreement with a different management company, and transferred my balance. Instead of applying my HOA fee each month, they were deducting it from "my balance" and were claiming i had not paid my fee for the said time. The judge told them "no way", as long as i bring my balance to zero within ten days.

So now, i will have the sale finalized tomorrow, and have a pending suit against the previous property management company for taking my payment and applying it to those criminal assholes.

**** HOA's in the ass with a ****ing stainless steel shard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell us how you really feel friend. :2razz:

That sounds like a load of ****.
I agree with the steel shard thingy.

It sounds to me like these HOA's seriously need reform and oversight. Too much room for egregious abuse. Consumers and homeowners need protection for predatory people like this.

I only say that because in our neiughborhood even though you can pay your dues online with us, we still get mailed checks and 95% are from folks in their 70s
