Petraeus to Modify Afghanistan Rules of Engagement, Source Says

Where is your evidence of this? Do you have anything to support your claims? Or do you just believe things to be true that you want to believe them the way you want them to be. Wishing things to be true doesn't count as what actually happened.

You just don't give up do you? Even with General McChrystal stating in his own words under oath that he created the ROE, you still have to blame Obama on it. Did you read this article?:

McChrystal “didn’t get the rules of engagement” or troops he wanted? « The Liberty Tree

Man! The lengths that people will go to to defend Obama. Amazing!!

Actually, it's called being diplomatic. We need the Afghanistan people and government on our side to win, so trying to not piss them off too much is simply sensible.

Nice spin but it is being PC

Win What!! Hearts and minds, is that what you're talking about? Or maybe you mean winning the one on one engagements going on in remote places.

Oh - how did he betray everyone?

Every tosses that insult around purely because it rhymes with his name but I've found that FEW people actually believe it or know where it comes from.

Just what did he do that was so WRONG and horrible?

He didn't do anything that was wrong, the democrats did and portrayed him on a poster as the betrayer. It is unconscionable and unpatriotic, and in my mind treasonous. Hilary Clinton said she would have to "suspend disbelief" to believe anything this great general had to say at congressional hearings. Obama was right there too tossing insults. He still hasn't recognized what a powerful effect Petraeus approach in Iraq had.

Generals are no immune from criticism. And while I respect General Petraeus, we should be careful not to give too much credit. Iraqis themselves played a major role in Iraq, and did so outside of our plans and efforts.

If you believe in victory at all costs, you're right, but his surge did drive millions of Sunni families from their homes, and most ended up in other sympathetic countries.
