Al Gore Accused of "Unwanted Sexual Contact" in 2006, Authorities Say

Oh dear god. Sexual harrassment laws are such utter bull****. They don't protect me from anything. If anything, they make life more difficult for everyone.

Didn't say anything one way or the other on the law. You asked for it... I provided.
It can make life more miserable for everyone, that I'll agree with...

BUT... these are not cases of nudge, nudge... wink... wink.

They offer a path for justice after the fact. In the case of Juanita Broaddrick, had she taken Felonius Bill on and put him in the can... Paula Jones... and Lord knows how many others might have been spared his harassment.

In the case of Algore... we'll have to wait and see, but he should have known better than to leave traces of his love pump on her clothes.

If it is his semen, it still wouldn't prove that the act wasn't consentual. All we have is her word to say that he was trying to do something sexual to her that she didn't want. And her story has many holes and, if true, very bad decisions on her part.

I wouldn't call those things harrassment.

And, as for Al Gore, you don't know that it wasn't 'wink wink, nudge nudge'. We only have a partial story that has holes the size of the grand canyon in it.

Obviously Paula Jones thought it was harassment.
Juanita Broaddrick was raped.
Algore's masseuse obviously feels pissed long after the fact; enough so to file suit.
Bob Packwood lost his Senate seat for trying to kiss a staffer... not have his staff kissed a'la Clinton, or release his second chakra as per Algore.

Well, if it becomes a legal matter, her "save the planet" friends will be sure to be put on the stand.

She's provided what... 70+ pages of detailed statement?

"I want justice served," Hagerty said as she reveals the key witness who could blow the case wide open, the secret hotel video surveillance and the DNA evidence

Only time will tell, but you just don't take on a former Veep without having a strong case.
Seems she thinks she does.

yeah, so pissed off she's looking for money instead of justice.

Such a strong case and she only wants justice yet she refuses to file criminal charges and goes for $$ instead. Gimme a break.

I guess you believe laws do not apply to Democrat Predators.

Allegedly
MSNBC ran the piece after the vote to remove Felonius Bill.
MSNBC couldn't find a hole in any of her statements.
In fact, she remembered the structure across the street at the time; a seeming hole in her story until they learned it existed when Felonius Bill raped her, and was knocked down later.

She should hit him hard and for as much as she can. I can understand it. It's called retribution.
Pricks like Second Chakra need to be taught lessons in every way possible, so they're public waste nobody wants to deal with, and they take a hit where it hurts financially.
Of course, for Democrats, it seems to enhance their image; just look at Felonius Bill.

I don't believe in sexual harrassment laws period.

She said she wants justice. Getting cash for herself isn't justice. If she wanted justice, she would have filed charges. Period. No woman who was raped - that I've ever heard of, and including myself - would think that money would make it better. It's disgusting. It's insulting. And in no way is it justice. She is the type of woman that most assaulted women despise with every fiber of our being. I don't believe her story for a second.

That and 5 bucks will get you a cup of coffee.

LOL... OK.

And was he convicted?
1978 was different from 1985, and in backwoods Arkansas , trying to take on a candidate for Governor, part of the political machine... please... let's not be coy.

You speak for assaulted women? How the hell do you know what they believe as a group? Really?

Cash can be part of justice... where have you been? Taking on a Vice Predator costs serious money. It can also injure your chances of employment long after the fact. Ask Lewinsky or Tripp. She could get a wad of cash, and be in a financial hole after the fact.

You don't believe her? Interesting. I didn't have an opinion one way or the other until today, but tend to believe her after the latest bombs have been unloaded. Only time will tell if she will achieve justice, but with the goo stained threads, hotel camera's, and friends... she has more than a mere he said-she said.

And was he convicted?

Was OJ convicted?

Getting money from him and ruining his career and GW crusade sounds like pretty good justice to me, and a hell of a lot easier to get.

****ing coffee drinking drug addicts, always trying to pander their drug off on me.

I HATE COFFEE!!! :shoot

So the answer is no?

I speak for people in general when I say that she's FULL OF CRAP.

And unless there were cameras in the room, it definitely is a he said/she said. I will believe NO woman who opts for a civil suit and selling her story to tabloids over criminal charges. No how, no way.

Was OJ convicted?
Of murder? Nope. And?

Getting money from him and ruining his career and GW crusade sounds like pretty good justice to me, and a hell of a lot easier to get.

If she has such "damning evidence", criminal charges would have been a piece of cake.

So the answer is no?
1978 was a much different time than the late 80's early 90's... especially in Arkansas, taking on part of the state machine.

You are speaking for a few people. I'd say you're speaking for Algorebots, and a few others.
That's pretty narrow, but OK... your opinion.

.

Of murder? Nope. And?
Ahh, so you are one of the three or four people that still believe he didn't do it?

If she has such "damning evidence", criminal charges would have been a piece of cake.

For the second time, I think dragging him through civil court would be as much punishment to someone like Gore as criminal charges. He would be ruined.

I'd have to side with the jury.

Putting a someone in jail helps to prevent their attacks from happening to someone else. Getting money out of them helps no one but the person making allegations, and then only monetarily. As if money would be in any way soothing to someone who was assaulted.

Like I said, you are among very few that agree with you.

I disagree.

I've read some of the stuff from her statements, and she seems way, way too coached. It's rambling nonsense until she gets to the event itself, and suddenly there's phrases tossed in that definitely sound out of place, education-wise. It goes from: Um, so like, I was massaging him and then this and then that to:

"During the massage, I realized much to my horror that I was in the perfect storm and that I was in a room with someone who was Teflon coated in terms of his credibility and celebrity status..."

And then back to laughing and talking about how she should have done a vulcan neck pinch.

"While Gore has acknowledged receiving a massage, he has unequivocally denied any allegations of sex abuse. His spokesperson issued a statement overnight saying "further investigation will only benefit Mr. Gore."

Molly Hagerty Abuse Allegations Against Al Gore Reexamined by Portland Police - ABC News

Al has apparently not yet confirmed that he did not pay for the massage, and did not give any tip.

Is touching a woman's breasts without her permission a second degree Felony in Oregon?

"Police say Edwar Raul Hone, 27, approached each woman and grabbed their breasts under their clothes. He is being held in the Utah County Jail on a $25,000 cash bail for two second-degree felony charges of forcible sexual abuse."

Women do wait to bring up charges when it comes to assault and rape, sometimes they never report. They feel ashamed, like they were somehow asking for it. *shivers* It would be horrific to have Al Gore "stain" your leg. I guess we will have to wait and see what the mystery stain reveals!

Wow, Rev... for Al's sake, I hope you are not judge and/or jury (if it ever comes to that).
