The statements taken by the police ARE her words. They were quite willing to pursue charges, they TRIED to, but she refused. Nope, sorry. Money grubber.Really? Which words...the few that you have seen in newspapers or your unbiased face to face conversations you have had? You know her mind from snipppets reported all of YESTERDAY? how about from the 15 page police report? Any feel for how she was treated by the cops? On their willingness to pursue charges? On if they made her feel like **** for being there...blamed it on her...or didnt believe anything she said?
The Multnomah County district attorney's office was aware that the woman's attorney filed a complaint with police about two months after the encounter, but the woman didn't show up for three scheduled interviews with police investigators. At that time, police were told the woman didn't want to proceed with a criminal case and would pursue a civil case instead.
