Al Gore Accused of "Unwanted Sexual Contact" in 2006, Authorities Say

Really? Which words...the few that you have seen in newspapers or your unbiased face to face conversations you have had? You know her mind from snipppets reported all of YESTERDAY? how about from the 15 page police report? Any feel for how she was treated by the cops? On their willingness to pursue charges? On if they made her feel like **** for being there...blamed it on her...or didnt believe anything she said?
The statements taken by the police ARE her words. They were quite willing to pursue charges, they TRIED to, but she refused. Nope, sorry. Money grubber.

The Multnomah County district attorney's office was aware that the woman's attorney filed a complaint with police about two months after the encounter, but the woman didn't show up for three scheduled interviews with police investigators. At that time, police were told the woman didn't want to proceed with a criminal case and would pursue a civil case instead.

perhaps. We'll see.

perhaps. Ive worked with well over 700 women as a victim advocate. I dont recall too many of them being 100% connected with their faculties following the traumatic event. Perhaps this one is a liar...a money grubbing little tramp...and we should all just **** her as you suggest. I dont know. I know there are a few reports. I know there are a few newspaper articles. I know there are other interesting allegations surfacing regarding the alleged perp. I know sexual assault victims frequently behave in a manner others find irrational. But **** her...

Yes. **** her. Going for money for herself instead of justice isn't irrational. It's very calculated.

What's particularly surprising about it? Regardless of whether the underlying accusations have merit (and I thought I made my views on that fairly clear), the fact that they exist is inherently noteworthy, as evidenced by the fact that this is on the front page of the NYT, the Wash Post, etc.

It was going to end up here whether I posted it or not, so I figured this would be a better start to the thread than "LOOK WHAT AL LEARNED FROM SLICK WILLY!!!!11"

Stories about Bush being AWOL made the front pages for a few days too. That didn't make them true either. Also, it seems that some people are ignoring the following from your link:

Police investigated the case further that year, according to the district attorney's office, but Gore was still not charged. Police said there was insufficient evidence to support the woman's claims, according to the newspaper.

And these are some of the same people who complained that Obama is penalizing BP with the 20 billion dollar fund, claiming that BP is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.

Repeat after me - Hypocrisy.... Actually, politics.

Definition: Politics - A conflict of interests disguised as ideologies.

So - is this article you've provided related the the article in the OP?
According to the OP - there was no lengthy investigation, file, details given about any incident.

Two different women - one who cooperated and divulged information and one who did not? or the same woman with 2 faulted stories that completely conflict with each other?

Yes. **** her. Going for money for herself instead of justice isn't irrational. It's very calculated.

perhaps. Doesnt mean it didnt happen precisely how she described it. Paula Jones sued for sexual harassment...not sexual assault. Again...doesnt mean it didnt happen.

Completely true, but they were still "newsworthy."

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? How did Obama get into this???

He's in everything.
He multitasks

You know that multi-tasking really means you do no one thing well but a lot of things crappy...right?

If it did happen as she says it did, then I say double-**** her. Women like her are the reason sexual assault is so under-reported. Women like her infuriate the hell out of me.

Just showing that some people are more than willing to argue one way on something, and then make the opposite argument on something else, the driving factor being whether or not the target is a Republican or a Democrat. This is not just Republicans only, but Democrats have been known to do that too. However, so that I do not end up derailing this thread, I will keep the discussion confined to this story, but I will point out the hypocrisy involved, which is also germaine to the discussion.

Or he perpetuated the global warming myth as a diversion to mask his sick sexual desires.

And you didn't even bother to thank me.

Reading her description of what allegedly happened, I have to agree with rivrrat on this. What woman in her right mind stays in the room with a man that forcifully made her grab his genitals? If it was a hotel, she could have walked out of the room, went immediately to security, and told them that she felt uncomfortable with giving him a massage (she wouldn't even have to tell them exactly why but if she really was concerned about her job, telling them why would be good). Securtiy could have gotten her stuff back at the very least. Also, even believing that she would stay after that, for whatever reason, if she was truly afraid of him, why would she voluntarily go into a room alone with him?

I have a feeling that she voluntarily had sex with him after giving him a massage, possibly for money, and is using it to get herself more money without looking like a prostitute. He could have been the bad one completely, but it doesn't really sound that way from her description.

I saw that you threw that "why some people are outraged at Obamas BP 20 billlion blah blah blah...hypocrisy"

Im sure I missed it...who are you referring to?

As I understand it, the accuser massausse approached The National Enquirer, to see if she could get money for her story. Apparently the National Enquirer gave the accuser some money. The timing might have been in consideration that Al Gore has recently announced his separation from Tipper. So there is now no reason for the accuser to delay taking money from the National Enquirer. It is unlikely that the National Enquirer would print something unverifiable.

After this is all said and done and fully investigated, Gore next movie might be, "An Incovenient Sleuth." :2razz:

And what would have happened if she had left and gone to the front desk complaining ??? I'll tell you... they would tell her to get out of the hotel and never come back, then call Gore's room and apologize for any inconvenience the woman caused him.

Who do you think they would believe? The woman or the ex-vice president spending thousands of dollars there???

Seems like Algore is similar to Felonius Slick... shades of Juanita Broderrick and Lewinsky combined.
Using force in a hotel room and leaving his calling card on her threads.

Al Gore A "Crazed Sex Poodle?"
Al Gore A "Crazed Sex Poodle?" - June 24, 2010

Gore, who she portrayed as a tipsy, handsy predator who forced her to drink Grand Marnier, pinned her to a bed, and forcibly French kissed her. The woman's statement--which could be mistaken for R-rated Vice Presidential fan fiction... After fleeing Gore's suite, the woman returned home to discover, a la Lewinsky, "stains on the front of my black slacks." Suspecting that the stains were Gore bodily fluids, the woman made sure not to clean them. "I carefully hung them up and decided to be sure not to launder them until I knew more what to do with what had happened.

Clinton and Algore during happier times.

Exactly. It's so much better to stay in the very same room of the abuser, continue to touch him and willingly walk in his bedroom cuz he asked her to do so. :doh

I just love it when women throw other women under the bus, simply for exposing their heros as crass, sexists pigs. Liberal women did the same thing when Clinton's and Edwards' charming antics toward women were revealed.

Who to believe?
A guy hell bent on pushing Global Warming despite the fact there is no conclusive proof it is man made, and that the schemes he proposes would hurt rather than help.

If he lies on that scale, and is the world's greatest global warming hypocrite, this incident is nothing.

A woman was subjected to the unsolicited molestation of Al Gore? Perchance, was her name "science"?

I never bought the scientific bookworm persona. To me, this dude has always been a creep and an opportunist who jumped onto a personality just to have one that wasn't "local creep." I always felt, in spite of who he is, if I ever ran into him at a bar or party, I'd casually cover my chest with my arm (even if I were wearing a suit of armor ) because you know he'd be the type to leer as he tries to sneak rubbing himself on the back of a chair. I have always gotten a major perv vibe from him.

I don't think this story holds a lot of water (see link for juicy detials), but I will not be surprised if many more stories like this one surface. This is just the beginning. Can't wait until text messages surface! :popcorn2:

I just love it when people are so blinded by hatred, they completely throw common sense and intelligent thinking right out the window.
