Obama says GOP making life harder for the jobless

Looks like a cult of common sense ignorance. Gabriel you fit in quite well as you not only ignore the thread topic but the facts presented to you and the sites given. One of these days you too will grow up, maybe. If you don't you are going to look back and wonder what happened as you accomplished absolutely nothing.

Right no I have already gotten past that. I think it will be a shock when you realise in the end you have done nothing. It's a hard lesson to learn.

Obama says THE GOP is making life tough for the unemployed?

What about the Messiah's arbitrary and pointless ban on off-shore drilling in the Gulf?

What about His total economic incompetence?

Barry is playing the blame game, when the nation wants results, not finger pointing.

Which can only mean Barry can't (or won't) provide the results needed.

The GOP called a halt to yet more deficit spending to accomplish nothing. What's wrong with that?

Dear lord, the ban is on deep sea drilling because the oil companies lied about the meaningless regulations from the meaningless regulatory system put in place by dick cheney.

economic incompetence? Bush?

results? whatever are you talking about?

One question had some reasonable thinking but.. the reason it is wrong both economically and morally is that unemployment is @ 10%. The economy is just starting to come around but.. private enterprise is not employing on mass. The spending cut is incredibly small compared to say the cost of the tax cuts bush implemented.. the bill to provide some financial assistance to people was microscopic in comparison and it was cut in half. But still the republicans would not give it one vote.

So with the economy coming out of the dirt the republicans want to be able to cry about how poorly managed the recovery was and force millions of people to fend for themselves. The republicans were playing partisan politics in light of the fact they were voting for austerity, prematurely and pretending to be fiscally conservative, which is a complete pile of crap. Inflation is nothing to worry about at 10% unemployment.

They did it to try to make the dems look bad, that is all.

Love the speculation of people like you who really don't have a clue. You don't know me nor will you but like most people of your ideology today you aren't nearly as smart as you think you are. One wise man once told me to "never look back and have to say you are sorry." You and others will one day look back and wonder what happened to your life. I developed and promoted a lot of people in my career and based upon what I have seen from you, failure is an option that you will soon have to accept.

Well at least I can admit when failure has been done. I don't care one ounce of your petty psychological, narcissistic and pretentious assessments of others. Not one bit so, save your breath.

Problem is the dems are already giving up look at what Joe said.

Biden: We Can't Recover All the Jobs Lost - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Vice President Joe Biden gave a stark assessment of the economy today, telling an audience of supporters, "there's no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession."

There are over 35000 rigs off shore and one accident. That is how liberals respond. Put those “little people” out of business and on the street thus creating more dependence on liberal social programs. There are laws on the books that should have prevented what happened but as usual those laws aren’t enough to a liberal thus we need more laws. Typical liberal bs.

economic incompetence? Bush?

Actually no, liberalism and Obama. While at BEA.gov did you happen to do any research? Hardly and it shows.

results? whatever are you talking about?

Why don’t you tell us the accomplishments of Obama that we all should be proud of? 15 million unemployed? 2.4 trillion added to the debt? Socialized medicine? Firing of his handpicked commander in Afghanistan? Come on, show us those Obama accomplishments?

On what basis do you claim the economy is coming around. Stock market is down for the year, economic growth is all due to govt. spending, over 4 million more unemployed than when Obama took office, 2.4 trillion added to the debt. Yes, that is an example of liberal success.

That didn't take long....lefties have found a new class to exploit and pander to

You really aren't worth the advice, not smart enough to see it for what it is. Good luck because you are going to need it

I don't read in there anywhere that he says "we are giving up".

Vice President Joe Biden gave a stark assessment of the economy today, telling an audience of supporters, "there's no possibility to restore 8 million jobs lost in the Great Recession."

Appearing at a fundraiser with Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wisc.) in Milwaukee, the vice president remarked that by the time he and President Obama took office in 2008, the gross domestic product had shrunk and hundreds of thousands of jobs had been lost.

"We inherited a godawful mess," he said, adding there was "no way to regenerate $3 trillion that was lost. Not misplaced, lost."

Claims for jobless benefits fell by the largest number in two months last week, but were still high enough to signal weak job growth. Meanwhile, the Senate on Thursday failed to pass an extension of unemployment benefits.

Biden said today the economy is improving and noted that in the past four quarters, there has been 4 percent growth in the economy. Over the last five months, more than 500,000 private sector jobs were created.

"We know that's not enough," the vice president said.

Last week the White House put out a Recovery and Reinvestment Act update claiming that between 2.2 million and 2.8 million jobs were either saved or created because of the stimulus as of March 2010. In signing the Recovery Act into law on Feb 17, 2009, Mr. Obama said the measure "will create or save 3-and-a-half million jobs over the next two years."

Is only evidence to me that says more stimulus is needed. It will only mean that obama, over the course of a couple years, has created almost the same number of jobs bush did in his 8 years in office.

You really have a problem with Bush so tell us all how Bush hurt you and your family. your economic ignorance is staggering. Like all arrogant liberals you have all the answers to the wrong questions. Only a liberal would state that going from 11 million unemployed to 15 million unemployed is creating jobs. I heard they were hiring more census workers, you seem to have the aptitude.

Lie, only 35 deep see drillers are affected. The judge who made the rulling against the moratorium has a **** load of stocks in BP and other oil companies. He is a fraud.

Uh you have no clue, I am sorry after this I am done with your ranting. "If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance baffle them with your bull****" should be your motto. Completely a chosen ignorance on your behalf. On and on in complete denial and blame everything on the democrats that haven't been in power since clinton left office.

We can't that is giving up. The money hasn't helped more will not help. Obama needs to work with private industry and stop the pay back of those who elected him and stop growing government.

You can beleive that if you want. The First Amendment guarantees your freedom to have any religion you wish, no matter how silly.

Meanwhile, there's absolutely no sense in shutting down successful and safe enterprises.

Especially not when the exact cause of failure of Deepwater Horizon has not been established, and becuase it's unreasonable to presume that all other operations are guilty until proven innocent.

It's kinda un-American, that, and thus something totally in alignment with what we've come to expect from our Ivory ...er Ebony Tower elitist law perfessor community organizer who's never done a real job in his life, and of the incompetent cronies surrounding him who don't want this crisis to be wasted.

My name is not Lord, I'm completely repelled by any notion of aristorcracy in America.

economic incompetence? Bush?

Yes, he's a liberal too, so naturally he had a high degree of economic incompetence.

Since I never voted for Bushie, your attempt at guilt by association failed.

Your attempt to BioB! is noted. (BioB! = Blame it on Bush!)

results? whatever are you talking about?

Um....economic growth...PRIVATE SECTOR jobs growth, reduction of public sector in both real terms and as a percent of GDP, closure of US borders to the Invasion, repatriation of illegal aliens and their illegal children anchor babies, imprisonment of employers of same, stoppage of the hole in the bottom of the Gulf, stoppage of the hole where all the US money is running out via deficit spending, restoration of the Constitution as sole guiding US legal authority, and the restoration of US energy independence by the only practical means, drilling, digging, oil, coal, nuclear, and methane.

One question had some reasonable thinking but.. the reason it is wrong both economically and morally is that unemployment is @ 10%.

It is wrong economically to continue the ever expanding borrow and spend and then tax and spend more loop the US government has been engaged in for the last five decades.

It is wrong economically for the government to turn fascist and so over-regulate industries that the president has the authority to fire CEO's and seize twenty billion dollars in assets from a private corporation, both done in direct violation of the US Constitution.

It is wrong morally to attempt to legislate morality, as the baby-murdering leftists keep telling us, to the tune of millions of dead babies every year. It is also wrong morally to steal money from the children of people who presently have jobs to buy votes from people who don't have jobs.

It is also wrong, morally, to claim the unemployment rates is merely 10% when that figure is widely known to be only a reflection of those who are still seeking work and does not provide a measure of those who have abandoned job search efforts. In two words, the 10% figure is inaccurate and inadequate, and serves only to hide the gross failures of this incompetent administration to do anything useful in the economic realm at all.

Furthermore, it's so completely immoral to tolerate the presence of illegal aliens in this country when those Invaders are indeed taking up jobs....jobs that 10% unemployed segment of the legitimate, LEGAL population, and the undefined 5-10% unemployed in the shadows could be using to support themselves and their families.

So, don't you go wasting my time with your blather about morality. The left doesn't have the faintest clue what a moral is, not even after they get a stack of Aesop's Fables dropped on their head.

Yeah.

Amazing, ain't it? The governemnt doesn't release it's stranglehold on taxation and private business can't seem to find the money to hire more people.

In other words, the economy IS NOT turning around. Claiming the increased deficit spending by government, to the tune of 95% of jobs created in May being government jobs, it like telling the Ouroboros that he won't starve, all he has to do is swallow what he's already chewing on.

Economy ain't "coming out of the dirt". The Boy Wonder's destruction of the Gulf will ensure that, even if the rest of his failures don't kick in. What do you think is going ot happen when his tax increases hit next January? By "His" I mean His refusal to make the Bush tax cuts (what the idiot that liberal president was) permanent.

They did it to try to make the dems look bad, that is all.[/QUOTE]

Man, this forum has some pretty crazy right wing um .. talkers. I blame fox news.

Gotta love political grandstanding with things like unemployment benefits in a time with close to 10 % unemployment. What makes it hilarious is these same republicans who voted against this because of the debt had no problem squandering the near balanced budget Clinton left them.

LOL...

Hysterical. In at least two contexts and on several levels.

I mean, you actually seemed serious about conflating the fiscal responsibility of the Conservative Legislature, which Impeached Clinton and delivered the closest thing to a balanced budget since IKE; to which Clinton was dragged kicking and screaming, but for which you sought to give him CREDIT!

And THIS, in the face of the crashed US Economy and 3 TRILLION dollars spent in DEFICIT since the Left took the Legislative majority in 06!

BRILLIANT!

Will you be hear all week or was this a one night stand?

HILARIOUS!

If only 1 driller was affected, the President STILL doesn't have the authority to arbitrarily order shutting down company operations, not unless he and his supporters are firm believers in fascism.

In the America I grew up in, people weren't punished until they were proven guilty in a court of law.

From the moratorium in place it affected ~30 deep sea drilling rigs from what I know. Your writing is to cryptic otherwise to have discourse.

What "conservative" legislature are you talking about? Certainly not the US Congress, and especially not the US Congress that "balanced" the budget by counting Socialist Security taxes as revenues but neglected to include the future accrued Socialist Security outlays are liabilities in their "balance" sheet?

That kind of chicanery put Ken Lay and Bernie Madoff in prison, but fools applaud congress when they do the same thing with the fool's money.

Since not one budget was passed that was truly balanced, it's easy to see that the US Congress is not "conservative", not yet.

No, my writing was specific.

It's called "the rule of law".

You could try reading the Constitution. Here ya go: US Constitution.

Take some time, since it's clear you've never read it before.

There are 35000 rigs offshore around the world not just in the Gulf and there has been one accident. Like all liberals you over react.

You simply don't have a clue as to what you are talking about as usual, prove the judge owns a ****load of stock in BP and other oil companies.

As for listing Obama accomplishments that we should be proud of, you answered the question, silence and no posts. Get used to the term failure as it is something you are good at.

All he's good for is some laughs. Really, the fact that he doesn't understand that pointing to raw data that doesn't identify the cause of the results as proof that only his argument about a specific policy is true is pretty amusing, but also a sign of just how bad public schools are in America.

It's like pulling all of the raw, unprocessed data from Walmart's servers and saying that Walmart is doing well because kids like blue toys. Huh? Conservative is good for a few laughs. And that's about it.
