Your mistake was trying to compare the two religions. That was your mistake. If you wish to continue your error I'll be happy to bury that fantasy of yours if you wish.

My mistake is debating with someone who thinks christens can do no wrong in their mind, and yes my list comes as close to your list, since abortion clinic bombing spans decades, and killing abortions doctors also spans decades. So comparing the extremist in religion is wrong when it doesn't fit your way of thinking you are such a hypocrite you know that.

Of course I never said that. Is lying a hobby of yours or a full time job?

and yes my list comes as close to your list, since abortion clinic bombing spans decades, and killing abortions doctors also spans decades. So comparing the extremist in religion is wrong when it doesn't fit your way of thinking you are such a hypocrite you know that.

You can take every single person killed in an abortion bombing and you wont even hit 50. Islamic terrorists killed 60 times that in one single bombing.

Your dishonesty and ignorance is truly amazing.

There are more terrorist attacks carried out every day by Islamic extremists than there are by Christians carried out yearly, try again.

Again, christianity has evolved. Islam has not.

While the merits of the crusades can be debated back and forth, the point is, you don't find a history of Christian persecution in the last 300 years or more. With the exception of a few nutcases like Phelps, you won't find a Christian priest or preacher who will advocate conversion by the sword or execution for religious reasons.

Hmm, I see nothing for 300+ years christian wise vs. continued torture/executions in muslim nations

Actually, if the Crusades had succeeded, we wouldn't have to deal with this royal cluster**** we have now.

This list is not complete.

In January, 1997 the LRA attacked Lamwo, in northern Uganda. More than 400 people are killed, and approximately 100,000 people are displaced.[51]

In May, 2002 the LRA attacked Eastern Equatoria in Sudan. An estimated 450 people were killed, and witnesses state some villagers were forced to walk off a cliff. In November 2008 the Orange Volunteers said they were was responsible for an arson attack which destroyed a clubhouse at the Edendork St. Malachy's GAA club near Dungannon, County Tyrone, claiming it was in retaliation for recent attacks on Orange Halls.[9] Later that month, Sinn Fein claimed that the group was responsible was a pipe bomb planted near to the home of one of their councillors in Cookstown, County Tyrone.[10] In December 2008, Sinn Féin minister Conor Murphy claimed to have been told by the Police Service of Northern Ireland of a recent attempt on his life by the group in the Newry, Co. Down area.[11] Following the Massereene Barracks shooting in March 2009, the Orange Volunteers claimed responsibility for a pipe bomb which caused a security alert at a Sinn Féin office in Cookstown, County Tyrone.[12]

In July 2009 after many attacks on Orange Halls, the North and South East Antrim Orange Volunteers threatened retaliation if attacks on Orange Halls and other Protestant buildings did not stop.[13] In mid-August 2009 after more orange hall attacks [14] Catholic and Nationalist owned businesses including an Ancient Order of Hibernians hall were attacked and had their windows broken. The Orange Volunteers claimed responsibility.[15]

Main article: 2008 Christmas massacres (Congo)

On December 25, 2008, the LRA massacred 189 people and abducted 120 children during a concert celebration sponsored by the Catholic church in Faradje, Democratic Republic of Congo, continuing the attack on December 26. Shortly afterwards, the LRA struck three additional communities: 75 people killed in a church north of Dungu, and the church burned; 48 people killed in Bangadi, and 213 people in Gurba.[52] The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs estimated the death toll as 189 in Faradje, Doruma and Gurba.[52] However, Caritas International estimated the number of victims to be about 500.

On December 28, 2008, the Ugandan army published details of the Doruma attack, accusing LRA rebels of hacking to death 45 people in a church there.[53] An aid official speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity confirmed the December 26 massacre, saying the killings took place in a Catholic church in the Doruma area, around 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the Sudanese border. "There are body parts everywhere. Inside the church, the entrance and in the church compound," the aid official said. "We got information the rebels cut 45 people into pieces," added army spokesman Captain Chris Magezi.[53]

Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon stated that he "condemns in the strongest possible terms the appalling atrocities reportedly committed by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in recent days".[54] Caritas International said that it was "shocked by its staff reports" of the massacres.[55]

Congo's army, along with armed forces from Uganda and Sudan, launched raids against LRA rebels in December 2008 intended to disarm the LRA and end its rebellion. The raids were unsuccessful.
[edit] 2009

Efforts by the Ugandan army in early 2009 ('Operation Lightning Thunder') to inflict a final military defeat on the LRA were not fully successful. Rather, the US-supported operation resulted in brutal revenge attacks by the LRA, with over 1,000 people killed in Congo and Sudan. The military action in the DRC did not result in the capture or killing of Kony, who remained elusive.[24]

In December, 2009, the LRA massacred "at least" 321 people in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to a BBC investigation published in March, 2010 (see Makombo massacre).[51] The deaths were verified by the Red Cross and Human Rights Watch. Victims were hacked or battered to death, and survivors were made to carry loads for their attackers. At least eighty children of both sexes were captured, the boys as fighters, the girls to be sex slaves for the LRA members.[51] The sixty-mile (95 km) round-trip series of attacks began December 13, 2009, in Mabanga Ya Talo, and continued until December 18, traveling southeast down to the village of Tapili and back northwest again to the point of origin — a crossing over to the LRA camps on the north side of the Uele River near Mavanzonguda.[51]
[edit] 2010
In May 2010 it was reported that an investigation was being undertaken by a senior UN official over the massacre of over 100 people in February 2010.[56] The massacre is said to have been carried out by Ugandan rebels in Kpanga, near DR Congo's border with the Central African Republic and Southern Sudan.[57]

Another Christan terrorist organization

So, the taliban hands a 7 year old, and people are pointing fingers saying "Look!!! The Christians did this or someone else did that!!!" Let's address the fact that we are fighting against barbarians, and the spun misinformation of what any other religiously affiliated group has done is irrelevant to what the taliban has done and does do every day. The fact is that we are fighting against the taliban, and they are a wicked terrorist organization that must be destroyed. Their behavior should not be tolerated or apologized for.

Also, some of the groups you claim are Christian really aren't. Here is what your wiki article says about the LRA
The group asserts itself to be Christian[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] and is influenced[11] by a blend of Mysticism,[12] Islam,[13][14][15][16][17][18][19]and traditional religion,[20]
Clearly it isn't Christian but simply claims to be while being influenced by other religions.

The Christian bible does not encourage, support or command violent goofy evangelism. It barely supports self-defense. Islam on the other hand was built on violent conquest. In the early days, people of the book, i.e. Christians and Jews were not required to convert. But others were required to convert or ****ing die...Look at the Prophet's command, one of the pillars of faith is Jihad. It is politic today to say that refers to an internal struggle to maintain the faith, but for the rest of Islamic history it has clearly been interpretated as the armed struggle to spread Islam. I believe, Christianity says "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord", but it will be done via sincere conversions, not forced. The Christian bible states very clearly and emphatically that an outward conversion without an inward one is meaningless

Now you're missing the point. Recent history and the now have greater relevance than the old history because we are living NOW. We don't know the future. We can make guesses. You're making a broad extrapolation that because Christianity had violence in its past, and is peaceful now.

Again, your comparison has no meaning. Unless you mean that because Christianity had violence in its past, it can never take a position of superiority against a violent religion? That argument limits a religion or other entity to its lowest point and never gives it any credit for advancing past its nadir.

Why you continue to embarass yourself by giving me and others opportunities to point out your ignorance is beyond me

Honestly, I think the finger pointing is stupid. It's common fact that Islamic terror far outweighs any other group, but the thread at hand is about how the taliban has hung a 7 year old. Not about which ideology/religion has more terrorist organizations behind it. Now, back to the original topic. I think what the taliban did as disgusting and should be all more the reason why they must be destroyed. Why is what any other groups actions relevant to the fact that the taliban hung a child and is a wicked Islamic terrorist organization?

Mainstream Islam is off the freakin rails. Anyone who harbored thoughts of a 'moderate' element in the muslim world should be shown pictures of their insane reaction to the editorial cartoons of allah. This is a FACT

The religion has been effectively hijacked by the radical portion and preachers of hatred. That is now the mainstream. Its very similar to the threat posed 70 years ago by Nazism, and we will eventually have to deal with it in a similar manner or accept defeat by it.

Please stop the ingoing stupidity, in this thread.

Well then read your own links apparently the LRA is just as much Islamic as they are Christian:

The group asserts itself to be Christian[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] and is influenced[11] by a blend of Mysticism,[12] Islam,[13][14][15][16][17][18][19]and traditional religion,[20] and claims to be establishing a theocratic state based on the Ten Commandments and Acholi tradition.[3][13][14][21] The LRA is accused of widespread human rights violations, including murder, abduction, mutilation, sexual enslavement of women and children, and forcing children to participate in hostilities.[22]

I think we should all stop pitting one religion against another. IMHO all religion sucks, and ultimately in all their extremes they lead to violence. In some cases there are plenty of people out there who may not be violent because we live in a "mostly" civilized society, were they to have the option to "put the faggot to death" I'm sure they would, if they had no fear of the law. But that's besides the point. Extreme Islam is no Better then Extreme Christianity. There are elements within christianity that would love to see us in a theocracy that would be brutal, if not more brutal then countries like Saudi Arabia. But alas, let us all come together to condemn this heinous act against a child, and leave the "this religion is more violent then the other" crap out of it.

Peace!

Once again: There is no such thing as moderate islam. Its dead. Its big chance to rise to the occassion was Sept 12th. It did nothing, and is now a non-player in this deadly game.

The people perpetrating terrorist atrocities today are alive, in our midsts, and have widespread popular support from major elements of the muslim peoples. It is an entirely different issue from whatever happened in the crusades, inquisition, etc...

What? Were you even awake on Sept 12? You're completely wrong here.

Sad thats all you can muster....

The difference would be, if a christian committed terrorist actions, other christians would stand up and say that those jackasses were crackpots who did not represent their religion.

They would be condemning the terrorist actions as well as the people who committed them. I don't see a lot of this comming from the worldwide muslim community.

In a Joint Statement by American Muslim Alliance, American Muslim Council, Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers, Association of Muslim Social Scientists, Council on American-Islamic Relations, Islamic Medical Association of North America, Islamic Circle of North America, Islamic Society of North America, Ministry of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, Muslim American Society and Muslim Public Affairs Council, stated:[5]

American Muslims utterly condemn the vicious and cowardly acts of terrorism against innocent civilians. We join with all Americans in calling for the swift apprehension and punishment of the perpetrators. No political cause could ever be assisted by such immoral acts.

In response to 9/11

Huge crowds attended candlelit vigils in Iran, and 60,000 spectators observed a minute's silence at Tehran football stadium.

Muslim political and religious leaders condemned the attacks. The leaders included the Presidents of Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinian Authority, Libya, Syria, Iran and Pakistan

Yes... some people were burning American flags and cheering in the streets that 9/11 had happened. But not everyone, and besides there are even Americans who love the fact 9/11 happened.

Yes, the Taliban is evil. No, they don't represent all of Islam. No, there is no war between Christianity and Islam. Those questions are easy. The difficult questions are, can we defeat this evil? How?

More enemy supporters and sympathizers infiltrating the system.

The US isn't going to be crippled by any outside attacks, we're going to rot from within.

This an accurate representation of you or am I a bit off?

There are more terrorist attacks carried out every day by Islamic extremists than there are by Christians carried out yearly, try again.

That may be true but you cannot deny that a lot of people have been killed in the name of Christianity. The OT is a book of Horror!

Are you sure you have even read the Christian bible??

The killing in the Old Testament was justice and judgement and also gave people the provision for which they may be saved and spared from judgement. It wasn't wrong nor was it evil.
