Mark Critz Defeats Tim Burns in Pennsylvania Special Election for Murtha's Seat

Hey, Dude, how is that hope and change working out for you? 15 million unemployed Americans, 1.2 million more discouraged workers, 3 trillion dollars added to the debt in less than 2 years, Taxpayer ownership of GM/Chrysler and your tag line is restoring values? LOL, now that is funny unless your values come directly from the Soviet Union or other Marxist countries. That utopian European model is on fire but that is what you want here. Keep spinning and go down in flames.

What is it about liberal arrogance that believes govt. is the answer if only you throw enough taxpayer money at the problem?

This says it all

Power Line - America Rising

and despite all your rhetoric, the economy is growing, our integrity is being repaired and the outlook of most Americans is improving. Imagine that.

Another? Uh, most of them are going our way, including, of all places, Massachusetts and New Jersey. LOL

Your "Democrat" will be voting conservative on pretty much everything, so enjoy all that.

As I said....spin it all you want...the reality is, in yet another head to head battle, the Republican lost. So much for the November landslide.

Que paso, amigo?

Yes....I would have voted for him too.

The reality that I accept is that most candidates are going to be farther to the right than I am. There are very few true liberal candidates (although, listening to the right-wing you would think that there are thousands of them :doh)....

dood is more right wing than Bush. :lamo

So you vote party, not issues.

I wouldn't say that he is more right-wing than Bush....he's definitely more to the right than I prefer, but you take what you can get.

Party vote? Pretty much....but its pretty much because the GOP has gone so extreme right-wing on the issues that there isn't much of an option for me.
I have voted for some Republicans in the past, few and far between, in local politics...but they were all social moderate, fiscal conservative candidates, which is the only type of Republican that I can stomach....and is becoming extinct in the GOP.

See disney thinks this is just spin, in fact he knows it is because what he is chuckling at is that he knows that Critz is none of the things he said he was. Critz lied.....Murtha asst. for all those years, and somehow never agreed with him? Yeah, tell me another one....:rofl Those PA demo's must be really dense.

and the Republicans lost another head to head race. Doesn't bode well for the supposed landslide they are hoping for.

Not surprising that you believe a growing govt is a growing economy. Do you work in a govt. job?

It really is hard discussing economic issues with the economically challenged liberals. You do not understand economic growth therefore you spout DNC talking points. Problem is the American people see it for what it is, rhetoric without substance.

Everywhere in the world liberalism fails yet in this country liberal arrogance does not allow one to admit it.

How about responding to the facts posted, 15 million unemployed Americans, 3 trillion added to the debt in less than 2 years, massive expansion in the size of the govt? Keep diverting because Obama makes you FEEL good. Facts trump liberal rhetoric all the time.

Please name for me a Democrat Candidate that Obama campaigned for that won yesterday?

Really? In what areas is he left of Bush?

Pro-gun -nope, bush said he'd sign an AWB

Anti-Abortion- Same

Reduced the deficit -Nope, bush spent like a drunken sailor.

anti-obamacare- nope, Bush signed a perscription drug plan.

Lowe taxes for small buisness- Same

energy independence - same

strong defense -same

So he's about 2 points to the right of Bush, yet you'd vote for him. Funny.

Of course no one likes unemployment and government debt. However, the economy IS growing and unemployment will drop. You forget that it was Republican ideas that got us into this mess and Democrats that once again are going to have to get us out of it.
Clinton had to do it after Reagan/Bush left us with massive debts.
It remains to be seen whether Obama can do it. If he can, he deserve the credit....if he can't....then he deserves the blame. Its as simple as that.

Please name for me a Democrat Candidate that Obama campaigned for that won yesterday?

I'm not saying that OBama had anything to do with this. I don't recall Obama campaigning much for anyone during this campaign.

The reality is....Republicans hoped to win this seat and yet again...in a head to head race, they lost.

Spin it however you guys want. You cannot change the fact that the GOP lost another race.

Clinton? LOL. No, the Republican congress he was saddled with did it.

It was Dodd, Frank, and company that campaigned so hard and threatened banks if they didn't loan to Americans who didn't have the credit or finances to afford a mortgage.

But keep on keeping on.

I used to live not too far from PA, and had a lot of friends in PA. The 12th district is a heavily gerrymandered district designed to keep Murtha in power indefinitely. All this win shows is that liberals are willing to vote anyone in that has a D behind their name. Values like honesty in campaigning mean nothing to the liars within the demo party. So enjoy your victory, and keep on being who we always knew you were libs.

What Republican ideas got us into this Mess? Your party has controlled Congress since January 2007 and nothing Bush did was done without the support of that Congress.

You are nothing more than a typical Democrat hack, if someone has a D after their name you would vote for them regardless of where they stand on the issues.

Tell me where the economy is growing? Do you even know the 4 components of GDP? Tell us which ones are growing?

In less than 2 years Obama has seen unemployment grow to 15 million Americans, debt grow an addition 3 trillion dollars, taken over GM/Chrysler, passed a trillion dollar stimulus plan that has done nothing to stimulate the private sector, passed a healthcare plan that increases the cost of healthcare and does nothing to improve quality or access.

Yes, this is hope and change we all can believe in and what you show is how truly partisan and out of touch with reality you really are.

One would have thought with a trillion dollar stimulus plan we would have better results than we have, but any results coming from a liberal is good enough for some people including the massive growth in debt and the size of the govt.

Spin it however you guys want. You cannot change the fact that the GOP lost another race.

Well keep electing "Democrats" like this, and I'll vote Democrat, too!!

Obama campaigned for Specter, he campaigned for Cokely, he campaigned for Corzine, he campaigned in Va and lost them all. Keep burying your head in the sand and showing your true partisan nature when confronted with facts.

So the answer to the question is Obama campaigns for candidates and they lose. How does that bode well for November?

Well keep electing "Democrats" like this, and I'll vote Democrat, too!!

I expect with the GOP purging itself of all moderates, you probably will see more and more moderates heading over to the Democrats...and the Democratic party will probably move further to the right to accept them....
I would prefer a more liberal Democratic party, however, that's not a reality.

That wasn't this cycle...and he didn't campaign for Specter. Specter has relying on old footage.....try again.

Most people run as pro-gun. I'd say that many, if not most, Democrats are pro-gun. The whole idea that Obama is out to get your guns was started up by right wing nutters.
Anti-Abortion
Again, this is isn't a completely uncommon thing for Dems. They run as pro-life but then say something along the lines that they don't want to push their views on others. I don't know how serious he is about it, but it's not uncommon. It's definately not something on the Democrat litmus test, ask Bart Stupak and his group of 12.
Reduced the deficit....
What democrats don't want to reduce the deficit? I'm pretty sure it was Dick Cheney who was the one saying that deficits and debt doesn't matter. We've been having to spend to get out of a recession, though I'm sure you'll disagree with that. (Though you'll notice that when Bush was in office all those Republicans noticed the need to support the economy during hard times too. The only reason they're against it now is because opposition is win win. They get to look conservative. If the economy tanks because we didn't keep it alive, they get to blame Obama, if it starts to come alive like right now and they come out and say it's getting better in spite of Obama's policies, which is laughable considering all the doom and gloom they've spouted since Obama's election.)

Why are Republicans especially stuck on reducing the deficit right now? Because they handed over a ****ty economy. No politician can slash the budget during a recession. It's politics.

anti-obamacare
Yeah, I've read a little bit that he said he was against the health care bill, but I can't find him saying anywhere that he'll defund it or vote to repeal it like some people are thinking, unless I just haven't seen where he's said that.

Lowe taxes for small buisness
Yea, just like all other democrats. If he was for eliminating all taxes on millionaires then I think you'd have a better point but Obama did run on lower taxes and came through with that promise. Where has he raised small business taxes?

House Committee Passes Small Business Tax Cut Bill

energy independence.
Again, another thing Obama and democrats in general are for. Many support drilling and nuclear power, nearly all support investing money in new clean energy and green jobs. This was a focal point of Obama's agenda. The idea that Republicans own the market on energy independence is laughable at best.
strong defense
Again, who are these dem's that want weak defense? Has Obama cut the military budget and I just didn't hear about it?

Tell me you would have voted for him too? :lamo
I would have. I wish I could find where he says what he wants on healthcare, referring to maybe a public option or single payer, and a few other issues, but he sounds like a good guy on paper though I haven't followed him closely.

You'll notice that his opponent ran on repealing healthcare, and he lost. This guy just said he didn't support it. Not extremely telling, but notable none the less.

In honor of the right-wingers here desperately trying to claim GOP victory here:

LOL, so that wasn't this cycle? what was Obama doing in sending operatives to Pa to promote Specter? You simply are too brainwashed to understand reality.

I consider that a good thing about the Democrats. Republicans as they are now aren't needed. We can have a full scale discussion and all sides are represented. We have the pro gun people, the prolifers, the fiscally conservative, the liberal etc.

During the healthcare debate there was a full on debate amongst democrats without any republican help. We debated abortion, the public option, single payer, being fiscally conservative (which is why Obama wanted a budget neutral plan, cause many dem's are fiscally conservative and wouldn't vote for something that inflates the budget), etc.

Meanwhile the Republicans had to resort to making up crap like killing granny and death panels. That was the extent of their debate.
