NEWARK, Del. — The White House says Vice President Joe Biden's son has suffered a mild stroke, and is expected to make a complete recovery.

Beau Biden, 41, was admitted to a Delaware hospital Tuesday morning. The White House says he is in good spirits and is talking with his family at the hospital. He is fully alert and has full motor and speech skills, the White House said.

Biden serves as Delaware's attorney general.

Best wishes to him for a quick recovery.

It was a mild stroke. Will this event interfere with Beau's presidential aspirations?

What presidential aspirations would those be?
Anyhow, I wouldn't think so, if Cheney can be a war veep with a pacemaker, and Reagan could serve out his second term with advanced Alzheimer's (and still be hailed by conservatives as the best president we've ever had).

Best of luck to Beau; that's very young to have a stroke, but my grandmother died of one at around that age, so I guess it happens. I'm glad he's expected to recover.

My mother had a mild stroke around the same age (a little later in life) and fully recovered, so I hope the same for him.

It sounds like things will be fine.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
