Allah is simply God. Mohammed is the prophet (like Jesus).

I don't think they get as worked up over pictures of God (although they're forbidden to portray all prophets - including Jesus).

Agreed, it's stupid. They should simply get used to it. All religions are open to criticism - just pointing out that Allah and Mohammed aren't the same. If you're going to criticize at least get that part right.
 
Limits to free speech? Wouldn't that be the opposite of free speech? Oh well, like it even matters.

I believe May 20 is the "everyone draw Muhammad day." It was created in response to the Islamic uprising against South Park.

Free speech is free speech. Honestly, if a group of people is threatening to kill others over an image/speech then instead of catering to them, they should be arresting them for making death threats.

Interesting. I am not a very religious person so I don't care if things of any religion are depicted. Personally I think these people are taking things to extremes and need to calm the hell down. I don't think the police overreacted. I think these people in the crowd got what they deserved, inciting violence and a riot.
