American Who Recently Visited Pakistan Eyed in Times Square Bomb Plot

Ah finally, now you guys can take out your "death to Islam" signs.

We do not need this silliness..
What we need is to replace ignorance and fear with knowledge and tolerance..
And kudos to our lawmen and justice system for the possible ID of this inept scum.

Yes, but you have to look at where the bomb was placed. If this was a vehicle parked near a federal government building, then you might be correct in saying it wouldn't be unreasonable for it to be a tea partier.

However, with the placement of the vehicle, I didn't suspect it to be a tea partier that would be involved with this.

I suspected a moron with little to no skill or political affiliation that watched TV all day.

So what is it Rev every one that joins the tea party is issued a pair of wings after a purity test and cleansing?

Will move away from this ignorant and foolish strawman you keep enacting.

When did Rev say that all the tea party is all perfect and pure, get some quotes.

He's saying that the movement does not have a history of performing terrorist attacks. Disagree? Post some proof. Otherwise stop with this ridiculous bull**** strawman you keep trying to beat up, because its not fooling anyone.

And kudos to our lawmen and justice system for the possible ID of this inept scum.
Let's hope that ineptidude carried over to his questioning, I suspect there's a lot more to this story.

What straw man? I'm just saying the tea party is not perfect. Sheesh get a grip.

Yes, you're saying that.

So is everyone else.

So you're arguing against something that no one said, but acting like someone did, which is what a strawman is.

:lamo no you were suggesting I thought they were all perfect.

Then you attacked that argument.

Its a strawman, a lovely one at that....

I have a grip, a great one at that.

The rev is against suspecting the tea party. In this current climate it would be on my top 5 list to question tied with idiot kids of middle eastern descent.

So Bloomberg suspecting a nut wad tea partier is a perfectly legit.

Thinking it was stupid for Bloomberg to suspect "The Tea Party" in this instance is not equating them to being pure as the wind driven snow.

Here, I'll say it again.

No, the Tea Party are not clean as the wind driven snow. There are likely fringe idiots in there that may very well be capable of violence

Yes, its ****ing absurd to suggest that this was Tea Party motivated or backed. Especially as your main example, ala Bloomberg. The Tea Party as a movement does not have a history of Terrorism. The Tea Party rhetoric, if taken to an extreme enough point as to cause physical violence, would most likely lead to attacks on government locations and establishments not the middle of new york city.

This was a bomb in the middle of New York City. It would be as likely, if not more likely, to say it was "ELF" doing it as it would be the Tea Party. Motivation would both would be a significant reach but at least ELF has a history of it.

If this was "Car Bomb found outside NY Senators Office" was the title then you know what, I would have no issue with someone suggesting perhaps that it was someone that was part of the Tea Party movement (I would have issue with someone suggesting the Tea Party movement spurred him to do it). Then at least there would be a reasonable, logical reason why to believe that.

There is zero legitimate reason here to assume that a movement that on a whole has no historic ties to terrorism would plant a bomb in a random location in New York.

I am?

Actually I am against wild speculations from the cities statist mayor based on zero evidence.

In this current climate it would be on my top 5 list to question tied with idiot kids of middle eastern descent.

Perhaps it was a mexican? :ssst:

It saddens me to see how often people will jump to say it was the other side who did it. Either from Mayor Bloomberg's comments which so far has very little evidence that I have found to support it. Or claims he is a Muslim jihadist even though he is just a suspect. From my understanding they are also interested in two other people that were seen by or leaving the car. Granted I maybe a bit behind because most of my time has been dedicated towards finals. But like some others have said I am withholding my judgement until a more complete investigation is done.

I was actually talking about the interview with Bloomberg whom you just want to score points against by any means.

I don't like bloomberg, He should be arrested and tried for interstate fraud and conspiracy charges related to his felonious acts of lying on firearms forms across state lines...

the man is a statist and a tyrant....

The fact that he wants to call my tea party out as probable terrorists. Eff him....

I take it your mouth foaming today and strawman is due to you being a fan? :ssst:

Thanks for admitting to your sophistry.

How is it sophistry? :lamo

A new wrinkle to the case...

From MSNBC:

The suspect in the Times Square bombing attempt defaulted on a $200,000 mortgage on his Connecticut home and the Shelton property is now in foreclosure, according to court records.

The foreclosure records show Faisal Shahzad took out the mortgage in 2004, and that he co-owned the home with a woman named Huma Mian.

Talk about irresponsible. What was he thinking?

If people had bothered to read the quote they'd see that he was obviously speculating. Obviously as in he outright said he was speculating. "It could be anything."

:spin: away though.

Yes, speculating, the exact thing a public official SHOULDN'T be doing in a situation like this. And IF they're going to speculate it'd help if they actually focused on things at least realistically logical. And IF they're going to speculate it may not be wise to give only ONE example and it happens to be one of a group that in general you're in conflict with.

Let's be honest for change ok! If we are to play the "blame it on the POTUS in charge at the time of the incident " game it would take a mega number of terrorist incidents to surpass 9 11 when Bush II was at " the reigns".

SHHHHAAAZZZAAAD!
I mean SHAAAAZZZAAAAM!

Well, we were surprised on 911.

It's not a surprise anymore.
The military ignored warnings the Ft. Hood Murderous ass publicly made.
The Diaper Bomber.
Now this.

Bush seemed to do ok. Not saying they could have slipped through on his watch, but they didn't, and his stance was obviously different.

But the ignored screamer is the following:

Obi said the following:eek:n Nov. 21, 2007, while taking calls on New Hampshire Public Radio:

“I truly believe that the day I’m inaugurated, that not only does the country look at itself differently, but the world looks at America differently...

“The world will have confidence that I am listening to them, and that our future and our security is tied up with our ability to work with other countries in the world. That will ultimately make us safer. And that’s something that this administration has failed to understand.”

So niave, so dangerous, so typical leftist.

It's a scary stupid statement, and Pres. BowWowWow obviously believes it.
He's busy focusing on other targets. Americans.
