BREAKING: Times Square Evacuated

It's a really crappy place to leave a car (and miss) because Times Square not only has 10 webcams but Scores of Closed Circuit TV cams inside stores, hotel and theater lobbies, etc.
They can probably sequence pictures from many.

The police have a good shot of catching him on some-cam in that location even if they don't catch him from Forensic info.
Tho I assume they will catch him/them from the latter.
Probably tons of evidence as the perp figured it would blow- but didn't.
Car ID, DNA, etc etc.

Car WAS Caught on Camera parking around 6:30PM EST along with some other details, not sure of any driver ID. "grainy" pic so far may not get him on this first cam.

Thousands of people are not being allowed back to their hotel rooms in the area. now 6+ hours worth.

Well, that didn't take long. I was wondering how long it would be before someone dropped Obama's name in context to the incident. You never disappoint Prof. Sentence fragments and all.

Sometimes the news is too "breaking" I'm afraid. If it's only just happening and the story is a major one the link may be temporary or a holding link which changes as new story headlines come along.

I got burned similarly a long time ago on a just breaking news story in the middle east: had the same reaction (but privately to the Mod who infracted me) and still wasn't happy with being infracted. However I eventually saw the reasoning.

Don't gripe in public - do it in private to any mod who contacts you - but if your link changes in a major way as stories change you'll see why you were picked up on your OP.

I for one am glad the car didn't explode. If it did, and if it were a terrorist attack, President Obama would have to cancel his photo-op at the oil spill to go apologize to the middle east.

I'm glad President Obama gets to keep his photo-op, he needs the ratings.

Also Jon Stewart did a Go **** Yourselves skit in front of a choir where he tells the New York based Islamic extreamist group Revolution Muslim to "Go **** Yourselves"

The jihadist group based in New York city has a website Revolution Muslim which threatened the creators of South Park for there cartoon depiction of the terrorist prophet Mohammed.

It was Muslim tea-partiers trying to blow up liberal Comedy Central whilst Dick Cheney and George Bush ate babies in an undisclosed location!!!!

Totally credible and factual information is being disseminated right now!!!!

The car was parked near the headquarters of Viacom, which owns the Comedy Central cable network, the New York Post reported.

You know, there is something that just doesn't meet the eye here. It was such an amateurish attempt, and now "The Pakistani Taliban" is taking credit for it. "The Pakistani Taliban" is a huge generalization of a lot of groups, and there is no specific group mentioned, just the general Pakistani Talibans.

Could this have been a false flag operation planned by somebody? Could it have been a dud for a reason, with it's only real purpose to instill fear in Americans, and socialize us for yet another war of some kind? In connecting the dots, those dots could lead anywhere.

BTW, I am just playing Devil's advocate here, and attempting to get some discussion going on this angle, in order to see where the discussion might lead.
