Gulf of Mexico spill may hit coast this weekend

Well, the

LOL!

problem is you

LOL

claimed BP was only liable for 75 million cleanup cost

LOL

when the

truth, as you

LOL!

documented it

LOL!

is that it is

LOL

not true and BP is liable for

LOL!

the whole cleanup cost, and may be, quite likely

LOL!

liable for all the consumer costs as

LOL!

well, and the taxpayers are not

LOL!

contrary to your claim

LOL!

responsible for any of

LOL!

the cost

LOL!

tell it to the ruined fishermen

tell it to the ruined fishermen

What ruined fisherman? No one has been ruined yet, and it's only speculation any will be. There are multiple ways that BP could be liable for the full costs, and they will be liable for at least part. You have proved this all already, despite thinking you where proving something else completely.

oh, good grief

anyone who's seen the gulf...

They've already stropped fishing in the gulf. No telling how long it will last.

Most of the Fishermen that i have talked to have leased their boats out to BP, or the Gov, to try slow this s*** down.

A good bit of the fishermen in the immediate danger zone have been going to briefings and volunteering their services as well, they will go above and beyond to protect their homes and livelihoods. Hopefully all the projections turn out to be a worst case "what if". Until that thing gets stopped and retained though we are looking at a serious scenario though.

At least they are still able to make some $$ somehow.

Update. The first of the three leaking portions of the blowout seems to be handled, the first dome appears to be taking. Even though it's the most minor leak it's a start. Hopefully they have the next one capped tomorrow. Fingers crossed folks.

Lets put it to rest that it didn't have blow out preventers, once and for all. And in fact, lets hear a real account of exactly what happened including the test just prior to this accident where the BOP's did work or else they wouldn't have continued:

I would not believe anybody about this unless he was under oath. Do you realize how easy it would for bp to bribe someone, er , I mean lobby someone?

Did you even bother to listen to it? 1000 bucks says you didn't. So please refrain from comment. Thanks. We all know you think BP is crooked and nothing will change that.

No, I have not hooked up my speakers yet. I am a procrastinator.

In fact, I was invited to join the United World Procrastinator's Club about 15 years ago and I still have not joined it.

But, I will. I promise.

You must not have the necessary plugins. There are two parts of one interview on the site. You should see a play button next to each. Maybe try another browser. Firefox worked for me. If it asks you to install a plugin you'll have to say yes or it won't work.

You don't even have speakers hooked up and you're going to comment on the interview? You are now irrelevant.

Ok, if you say so.;)

British Petroleum, as the leaseholder, is responsible for the cost of the cleanup. I think they will be billed for whatever the US Coast Guard has to do, plus whatever they are coordinating themselves.

Ultimately, yes, that is correct. However, the folks whod built the fail-safes will be held responsible for part of the clean-up, as well.

Thanks, very interesting. I've even saved it.

Here’s the crack BP engineering team changing the oil on the family ride.
