take away his ESCALATION of afghanistan and what remains besides empty platitudes about reaching out and changing america's image

should kim ever decide to GO the only thing standing in his way is the power, prestige and will of the united states

with obsequious obama in the oval office, the million man inmun gun (4th largest military on earth) could be in pusan as rapidly as last time

That's pretty harsh. Obama is bad, yes, but not as incompetent as Bush. That man couldn't tell his head from a hole in the ground. Obama is more competent that Bush. Now granted, that's like saying Obama is drier than the ocean; no real information. But in terms of incompetency; unless we put Palin in office I fear Bush is going to hold that title for some time.

As for North Korea....well that's South Korea's problem.

Where Obama was on that day has NOTHING to do with what happened. Obama could have been in the White House and this STILL would have happened.

BTW there are many more people that die to drive by shootings in the U.S. alone but U.S. citizens.

I had a friend who was on the USS Pueblo. The one thing he told me you have to realize is that the North Koreans think totally different than us.
It makes one wonder if he is not trying to do a little provoking to test our response. I for one just don't feel like we can afford another money drain in going to South Korea to fight.

I am taking a class on the challenges in the Pacific and so naturally we started talking about this event. We have a lot of South Koreans in the class and they want North Korea invaded and to reunify the Koreas. The rest of us feel Japan, China, and the U.S. need to play hardball and try as many diplomatic solutions, but remind both North Korea and China that if needed action will be taken.
