LOL, pretty tacky title by Fox News. I hate to say it, but his dental problems strongly suggest a history of meth abuse...

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A Missouri man who won a $258 million Powerball jackpot and plans to use some of the money to pay bills and take his children to Disney World says he hasn't decided yet if he'll quit his job at the convenience store where he bought the winning ticket.

Chris Shaw — a 29-year-old tattooed father of three who was raised by his grandparents in rural southern Missouri — came forward Thursday as the winner of the 10th-largest Powerball jackpot ever.

Shaw said he had just $28.96 in his bank account and recently bought a 1998 Ford Ranger from a friend who agreed to let him pay off the $1,000 price $100 at a time. Now, he said, he no longer has to worry about how he'll pay his friend — or his utility bills.

I have a sneaking suspicion that he'll be broke in about 10 years.
I hope I'm wrong.

If he is a meth head, I expect he will be dead in 10 years

$258 million can buy a lot of meth

I don't know if he is but I'm almost guaranteed that money will be pissed away on frivolous things like flashy cars, homes and other bs.
Not to mention what he'll probably give his friends and family.

Makes me wish we were related. :doh

What do you all think of Fox's headliner? Pretty unclassy of them to include his dental status in their headline, I thought.

Meh.

But I will say how unbelievably cynical ya'll are  pretty much everyone so far thinks this guy is doomed :rofl

Naturally, he says in the article that he's not sure if he'll quit his job, lol. It sounds like such a fulfilling 'career'...

Is that some sort of requirement when when winning the lottery, to say that you won't quit your low paying, low status, mind numbingly tedious and repetitive job?

I'll bet ya $1000 that this guy would test positive for meth if given a pee-test today...

It's the psychology of it.

They guy got the money by being irresponsible with money(buying a lottery ticket).
Chances of him keeping it are low.

Are we saying that this type of gambling should be better regulated?
If so, I agree.
Gambling is for losers.....learned early in life.
The payoff is much better used to upgrade our schools.
And this "meth-head" thing...
How can sane people do this to themselves?

That'll buy alot of teeth, or meth, or both.

Is he ever going to be crying the Tea-Party blues when he discovers what his tax bill will be.:rofl

He is probably not savvy enough to figure out the taxes himself or hire a competent tax attorney.

Well, Fox is honest. Call a spade a spade, I say. If someone has a jacked-up grill, then they have a jacked-up grill. Besides, are we supposed to feel bad for a redneck who just hit the number for a quarter billion just because Fox picked on him?

Hell, he can go buy some teeth.

Low pay and low status are commonplace to a certain strata of society, God bless them. And tedium and repetitive working conditions are accepted, if not appreciated, by people who have no other options.

It is unclassy, and I can't stop laughing.

Do we know if he's a democrat? ;)

Think of the jobs and economic stimulus he will provide!

Especially since he appears to be a loyal viewer.

If he takes a cash option, they will take out the taxes before he receives the money.
After that I'm not sure he'll be paying much in the way of taxes unless he invests it.

Still though, $1 for a hundred million or so is an excellent deal.
