Three bisexual men are suing a national gay-athletic organization, saying they were discriminated against during the Gay Softball World Series held in the Seattle area two years ago.

The three Bay Area men say the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance in essence deemed them not gay enough to participate in the series.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle accuses the alliance of violating Washington state laws barring discrimination. The alliance organizes the annual Gay Softball World Series.


Oh the intolerance of it all!!! :rofl

Each of the three plaintiffs was called into a conference room in front of more than 25 people, and was asked "personal and intrusive questions" about his sexual attractions and desires, purportedly to determine if the player was heterosexual or gay, the lawsuit alleges. The alliance has no category or definition for bisexual or transgender people in its rules, the plaintiff's attorney said.

Can you imagine if this had been a straight group doing this?

I thought that the Happy Community claims that "being gay is not just about who you sleep with". Well schlumburgers if that is the case why are you asking these BiGaysMAYBEStraightoMAYBEnot so straight- these personal questions ?

Some of us have just accepted that there are Gays out in the open now we have to deal with BiTransgenderConfused-gender- InvertedOrientaion -Gender- Cross Gender. Suppressed Gender-

Don't we have too many sexual orientations ? And is making fun of all of these sexual orientations a hate drime ?

Enough of this crap already !!

There is a large lesbian softball tournament not from from where I live each year. I went to see a relative who played at it a couple years. Actually a good time, and you will never see more well behaved dogs in one place than there.

This story is mildly amusing, and the case sounds like it will be based on both whether the claims are factually correct(we only have one side of the story), and whether the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance is a public or private organization.

I don't get the "never see more well behaved dogs " thing. Is that something peciliar to the Gay lifestyle ? But what do I know since after all until a couple half months ago I thought that a Tea Bagger worked for Lipton.

Is it a private organization? Then they can discriminate any way they like.
 
Don't ask me to explain it, but as a very general rule, gays and in particular lesbians are dog fanatics. Seriously, this softball tournament had people camping there, and every single campsite had at least 2 dogs, all very well trained and behaved.

You cannot tell. When I was in college, I was having some issues with my girlfriend of a couple years. I was a senior and a friend who was an associate professor figured he would do me a favor. He noted there was a stunning young lady in his intro freshman Poli Sci class that needed some help so he fixed things up to introduce us. She was gorgeous and showed up to the "tutoring session in a leather mini, heels etc. Imagine my surprise that night when I was at the local pizza place with some of my suitemates and she walked in with the head of the "yalesbians".

Interesting lesson for sure

Pepe's, Sally's, or Modern ???? I grew up in the Hartford Ct area and we used to take a trip tp Pepe's now and then for real Pizza - Even NewYork cannot touch any one of those three..

oh too bad about Miss Leather Skirts ---
 
Bisexual people, especially bisexually men, have it worse in some ways than gay people. They are not taken seriously by either side. If you're a bisexual guy, you're still "just a fag" to the straights because you still get it on with guys; to the gay community, you're just a gay man in transition and they expect you to toss the female desires at some point.

Biphobia is pretty epidemic in the gay community, IMO.

Yeah she was gorgeous-about the time I was there the quality of girls was going way up as men who had gone there and married trophy wives started sending their daughters to Yale rather than say smith or bryn mawr. She was a ballerina from some big bucks prep school-maybe St Pauls or exeter.

we would go to pepe's or sallys when we could get a group because it was on the other side of the green-not a good idea to be walking there by yourself at night

I used to frequent a place called Yorkside which was near the lawschool and "Toad's Place" It was the pizza place of choice for those in say Ezra Stiles or Morse college while those in say Silliman or TD went to Naples (which was better than yorkside). My last year a place called the "Educated burger" opened up near the Co-op and that became my favorite late night eating joint
 
One more New Haven story. My old house was 25 minutes North of New Haven and my neighbor not only being a Yale grad but he grew up in New Haven since his Dad was on the Yale faculty would say that the "the only Pizza that is allowed to hit his stomach was Pepe's." Our families would have pizza night every couple months or so and he and I would drive down to New Haven with hot packs get the pizzas and dare the Ct State police to ticket us driving back home while our wives made salad and martini's .

MY neighbor graduated in time for the Korean War and he ended up flying F-80'S later F-84's .. fellow AirForce retiree - good man he should have lived longer !!!

This is what happens when one group gets to oppress another. When one group gets to dictate what another is and isn't, the oppressed group will then turn on itself. The black community for example tends to look down upon biracial individuals like myself and Obama(it is why some blacks were saying he wasn't 'black' enough). This is due to the fact that whites who owned slaves in this country gave those of biracial lineage slightly better treatment. The best part about it is that the sexually illiterate like texmaster and F107HyperSab do not get to see that cases like this are the fruit of their discrimination. They get to laugh it off. Oh well. I guess somebody who finds hamsters driving amusing would laugh at this.

It takes a person who knows literally nothing of sexuality to suggest there is something unnatural with homosexuality. It takes a person who knows nothing of sexuality to claim there is no evidence to suggest that homosexuality is not controlled by the same biological and social factors which dictate heterosexuality. Now if you are talking about knowledge of all of the various types of sexual orientaions that seem to be evolving I did admit that the fringe sexual orientations such as transgenderous bipolor flip flopers are groups that I barely heard about until recently just as I did not know that Tea Baggers did all work for Lipton.
