Gun rights advocates rally in Washington, Virginia

Be careful, he's an English major. :rofl

Prince John: And Why should the people listen to you

Robin Hood: Because unlike the other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English Accent

I was and am hoping that race was not the answer but why now and why now with such harsh rhetoric ?

Probably because we now have a Democrat president and majorities in both houses, and Democrats are typically the ones who support gun bans and restrictions.

It ain't gunna happen!!

you do know that is what people in England said when the ban on handguns was being proposed

You do know that Australians said the same thing when thousands of pump action and semi auto shotguns were being confiscated.

I wonder how many people went to the "Showers" saying "This cannot be happening

Obama says a lot of things, most of which aren't true. Only the dumbest of the fools would trust a Chicago politician. They'll knife you in the back with one hand while smile and shake your mother's hand with the other.

Anyone can just go accusing someone of lying. I could do that to someone who says he supports gun rights too.

Until Obama actually proposes a law in Congress or imposes a policy that restricts gun rights, you got nothing. So far, gun rights have been EXPANDED since Obama took office, as I noted. That's reality, not paranoia.

Not expanded nearly enough. I don't doubt that given the time Obama would go after gun rights. I think he has his plate full right now on how to continue 2-3 wars while expanding the government and funneling money to Wall Street and the banks. You know, the same **** Bush was doing.

Not expanded nearly enough.

So are you backing off your claim that he's going to restrict gun rights and now complaining that he's not going to expand them enough?

What more expansions do you think are needed on the federal level?

I don't doubt that given the time Obama would go after gun rights.

Again, anyone can go claiming something. Obama has stated publicly he won't, and he hasn't. When and if he actually tries, then you can complain. Until then, give it a rest.

I never made the claim, I said he couldn't be trusted. And he can't. I'm sure things would be different if he weren't so busy carrying on the Bush doctrine.

As for expansions, I'd be getting rid of most gun bans; including those accomplished by essentially making it too expensive. CCW and open carry should be considered the norm and neither should require permit. We'll start there, and then work our way up.

You be sure to let me know when your prediction actually pans out. If at the end of his term(s) in office, they haven't, be sure to say you were wrong.

Are any of those federal issues though?

It's not wrong no matter what. He's Chicago, trust him at his own folly. It depends on how much he grows the wars, government, and entitlements to the rich.

Yes, because the 2nd amendment is to be held to all levels of government including the State governments and the federal government is primarily charged with protecting our rights and liberties. The permitless CCW/Open Carry would get rid of a lot of backdoor methods some states use to prevent exercise of a right. Furthermore, they need to do something about wildly varying State law since if you are transporting on the east cost, you'll have to pull over each new state and put your gun/ammo/etc in different places depending on the State law. Furthermore, many of the specific bans have been done at the federal level and thus would require the federal government to rescind.

I'll put up $500 bucks that if he gets a second term, gun control will be a big issue for him.

That doesn't make it a federal issue. What federal policies or laws does Obama have in his power to change that you would like to see changed?

I already told you, please read.

Hmm.
Given the statement you posted, explain why The Obama, if only He could have His own way, would ban guns:

Explain what?

Obama has said he doesn't want to ban guns. He hasn't banned guns.

When he actually tries to ban guns, get back to us. Then there will be something to explain.

Obama has said he doesn't want to ban guns. He hasn't banned guns.
On the contrary... the links I provided illustrate that He DOES want to ban guns, He simply realizes that He cannot.

Thats why I said "if only He could have His own way, [He] would ban guns".

And so, an explanation is due.

What do you need explained exactly?
