Rep. Bart Stupak to retire, putting seat in play

I wonder what job he's getting in the Obama administration.

YOU CAN'T EXPAND MEDICARE AND MEDICAID BY 12 MILLION WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY CUTTING THEIR ALREADY OVERSTRAINED BUDGETS BY HALF A TRIL

obama may not understand this truth as obvious as gravity

but america gets it

in the gut

MOM AND DAD HAVE BECOME SEVERELY DEPENDENT ON THE SOLVENCY AND VIABILITY OF THESE PROGRAMS THEY'VE BEEN FORCED TO PAY INTO ALL THEIR LIVES

you need to look at the polls for statehouses in pennsylvania, michigan, wisconsin, california...

these are NOT red states, tho they are crucially key

and we're witnessing mass swings of 20, even 30 points

just like massachusetts, jersey and the old dominion

THERE'S NO ROOM IN THE PARTY OF PELOSI FOR PRO LIFE, demonstrably

oh well

party on, progressives

you know what you're doing

Defund, repeal, re-write, and after Obama is toast, pass what Americans really want.
And then issue subpoenas, warrants, and charges. Anything and everything unethical or illegal should be held to full account, and the brunt of law should be bashed on the head of these crooks, make it hurt so bad the next crook in line will be too damn afraid to ever screw with their constituents again.

Excellent idea! We can start with Bush, Cheeney, Rummy, Ashcroft, Addington, Rice, Gonzalez and many morrrrrre!

The ultimate lefty wet dream. Only problem is that there's nothing to go after them for. If there was, the leftwing idiots in Congress would have done it already.

It's not that he's spineless. He's a block head. He held up Health Care for a stupid reason and then shut up when he got a worthless Executive Order when all along his desires, to prohibit federal funding of abortions, was already law.

Good riddance to him! Hopefully, the Dem who replaces him will not be so rabbidly anti-choice.

Damn those blasted Politicians, pushing out all the moderates in their party and being so stringently ideological. Damn those extremis-...

Oh, we're talking about democrats. Sorry. I forgot that narritives was only about republicans. My bad.

I already put that guy on ignore. He's nothing but a talking point machine, no substance and all borrowed rhetoric.

What can I say...

When I was young, I always watched the old Art Linkletter tv show "Kids Say the Darndest Things".

Reading his posts brings back old memories of that show.

The Repubs have NEVER had any interest in health care reform. Ever. And they obviously didn't this time either.

Sure they did..... tort reform, sell across state lines, less regulation, State and Fed.... the list was quite long and didn't require anyone to buy anything. The MSM just didn't cover that little bit of news.
I see many people who are ecstatic about the Health Care law. We have seen at least one member of our forum whose son will be able to get health care under her family's plan because of this law.

To shout those right wing lies simply doesn't reflect Americans' true reaction to this.

And FYI, this will never be repealed or defunded. As word starts to spread about how this is helping people it will be the Republicans who will be looking at their own Waterloo. Watch and learn.

Look at the polls, and you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until the bill comes in to every American without one benefit for 4 years into the future. This is the end of the liberals...... maybe forever.

Naaaaaaa...... seems like we have to give them a new chance every generation....... just to remind us of how un-American they really are.

:2rofll: That is funny! :2rofll: You should take :2rofll: that act :2rofll: on the road. :2rofll:

This is what Obamacare was modeled on..... take a look.

This week it became impossible in Massachusetts for small businesses and individuals to buy health-care coverage after Governor Deval Patrick imposed price controls on premiums. Read on, because under ObamaCare this kind of political showdown will soon be coming to an insurance market near you.

The Massachusetts small-group market that serves about 800,000 residents shut down after Mr. Patrick kicked off his re-election campaign by presumptively rejecting about 90% of the premium increases the state's insurers had asked regulators to approve. Health costs have run off the rails since former GOP Governor Mitt Romney and Beacon Hill passed universal coverage in 2006, and Mr. Patrick now claims price controls are the sensible response to this ostensibly industry greed.

Yet all of the major Massachusetts insurers are nonprofits. Three of largest four—Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts Health Plan and Fallon Community Health—posted operating losses in 2009.

No kidding? Can you point me to a bill they put together? They were in total control on Congress for 6 of those horrid 8 years BushCo ran the country into the ground. Shirley they put a Health Care bill together in all that time... especially since they cared so deeply about this issue and how it impacts American families. I can't wait to see the bill. To think that I've been wrong about the Repubs all this time. :doh

Since when does it matter how much the media covers an issue in order for a bill to become law?

■Number one: let families and businesses buy health insurance across state lines
.
■Number two: allow individuals, small businesses, and trade associations to pool together and acquire health insurance at lower prices, the same way large corporations and labor unions do.

■Number three: give states the tools to create their own innovative reforms that lower health care costs.

■Number four: end junk lawsuits that contribute to higher health care costs by increasing the number of tests and procedures that physicians sometimes order not because they think it's good medicine, but because they are afraid of being sued. snip

Notice the dates on the other bills that the Republicans tried to get passed in the Dem controlled Congress.

Guess you have been wrong all along........ nice of you to admit it.

I think you should try a stupid stunt like your buddies, the pinko ladies, and try to arrest each of them the way they tried to arrest Rove.

You'll be on the 6 o'clock news... as they carry you away to jail.

That would require ADK to actually... do something other post on a forum.

I'm currently working to get about 50 peeps down to Rep. Cirro Rodriguez's office (23rd Congressional District) to protest his vote for the Healthcare Bill. We're planning on camping out there and making a scene. I'll post pics if we get it off.

Can you point to any charges filed?........ you do know that that would have been very popular with the dem base if there had been, so why weren't there?......... Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

****ing politics. Don't worry though. There is no statute of limitations of treason. Someday... someday...

I'm sure Stupak will leave congress compensated very well :2razz: Lets just hope his seat isn't won by another Democrat. These guys commit political suicide in order to smack the American people democratically in the name of ideology and personal deals/bribes. Such martyrs.

I seriously doubt you were around when that show was on.

Nope

Well, that gives you something to live for anyway..... but guess what?

The people of the United States are going to demand the trials of those that took and offered bribes for votes.

The dims are so screwed.
