AP sources: FBI arrests man for threatening Pelosi

The thing is, to actively denounce them. I notice a reluctance in some quarters of the right, to do that. Why won't the Tea Party folks denounce the racists and loons that attend their events?
Just because you choose to ignore it doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

Influence is not the same as making people do crazy ****. Care to take another crack at proving your assertion?

Yeah, that's some proof that Fox is making people do bad things.

You apparently don't understand basic English.
I said influenced, not caused. No his mental insanity isn't even the cause for his actions. The cause for the man's actions is that he picked up the telephone.

Not once in any of my posts did I say that this Fox News caused this person to do anything, but it certainly influence him.

Ummm...people are responsible for their actions. Nothing the Tea Party, or Fox news, or any one else caused things like this. Trying to assign blame, or "influence" is just silly.

I didn't assign blame.

Well, there goes the advertising industry. Thanks, Redress, you burst that balloon. What a job killer!

Ignore what? That doesn't make sense with the quote you selected.

Yeah, I'm sure his history of mental problems had nothing to do with his actions.

Again you fail to understand English.

Mental problems are just an influence that culminated into threatening Pelosi.

But extremist's ideology comes from right and left, like ELF. Of course liberals would never claim them, but their political bent comes from the left. The nut in the OP didn't like health care reform. Now from which side of the political spectrum would he most likely come from?

Even here, someone has posted they would like to see Pelosi returned to the "ecology". When folks from the conservative side of the spectrum won't denounce the loons, it leads us to believe they condone the behavior and thus are welcome in their ranks.

In the case of this healthcare bill, he could easily be a Liberal; pissed off that the bill doesn't go nearly far enough towards what the Liberals really want. He just might be some cat that just found out that the legislation doesn't take affect for four years and he isn't getting a damn thing for free.

I think the trash talk coming out of FOX News, talk radio and other conservative sources incited this mentally challenged individual to act in a threatening manner towards Speaker Pelosi.

For most people, they understand that when someone on FOX News says President Obama is destroying America or some asshole on the radio says Speaker Pelosi is murdering your grandma, they understand that this is a form of entertainment where the viewers' own prejudices and predispositions are being affirmed and reinforced.

It's a kind of ego stroking that feels good and mostly harms no one, at least that's the claim. Their case of no harm, no foul breaks down when a mentally challenged individual such as Gregory Giusti starts making threatening phone calls to Speaker Pelosi. Then it's not so harmless anymore. And, at some point, somebody tries to do something worse and this malicious little name calling game goes down in history as an inexplicable, infamous act of a lone, deranged individual.

It's time for leaders on both sides to tone it down; Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) on the left and a cast of hundreds on the right. The current political class are like a group of children playing with matches: sooner or later somebody gets burned.

What about the trash talk coming from the Left about Bush's administration? That was okay? Of cooooooourse it was.

Just like on the thread about Rove getting assaulted, or when Ann Coulter was assaulted at Columbia during a speech. That's okay, because they deserve it. Right?

This kind of bull**** went on all the time prior to the Democrat takeover and it was ignored, both by the MSM as well as Liberals in general. These are the same tactics used by Leftists. It's time you all reap what you've sewn.

Remember, "..get in their faces..."? Who was it that said that?

Said who? Link please.

You're asking instead of assuming? Amazing.

Two wrongs do make a right after all. And when rightwingers are again attacked, it will be okay again! Cool!

P.S. "Sown" not "sewn."

Said who? Link please.

Mary Landrieu threatened Bush with assault. Show us the Liberal outrage, please. Thanks in advance.

You're asking instead of assuming? Amazing.

Got the guts to answer the question? Probably not. Huh?

Two wrongs do make a right after all. And when rightwingers are again attacked, it will be okay again! Cool!

I'm ok with a little head knocking.

P.S. "Sown" not "sewn."

And who gives a ****??

What about the trash talk coming from the Left about Bush's administration? That was okay? …

No, actually it wasn't okay, it was a distraction from the legitimate grievances that liberals had with the previous administration.

Now join me in calling for our political leaders to tone it down, stop the name calling and ridiculous accusations.

Then I'm sure for consistency's sake, when conservatives get attacked by liberals in the future, you'll say, "well, conservatives did it to liberals in the past, so it's time they reap what they sow", right?

Sure. I've already stated that I'm in favor of a little head knocking. I think we need to spill a little blood and see whose tougher. I'm ready.

We didn't hear the Liberals crying about, either. In fact, I've seen Liberals on several online venues condone such activity.

To what end? What purpose is served by ‘a little head knocking?’

To send all the ******s packin'. Let Darwinism set the rules.

Last leader to try that out had to commit suicide

Are you saying that since PBO advocated, "...getting in their faces...", that he may end of offing himself?

Ya know, after he said that I dreamed of the day that some Obama-bot got in my face so I could lay that mother****er out. I keep hoping a buncha SEIU **** heads show up to a tea party that I'm attending.

That's right... I forgot. You are pro-partisan attacks, which tend to accomplish little or nothing.

It's more of a drinking game. Not to be taken seriously unless one is within arms reach.

Get 'em tiger!
If you can't outwit them, gnaw their noses off

Indeed, there are a segment of liberals who are pissed that there was not a public option, but they are not the militant. Which side is demanding health care to be repealed? It certainly is not the left. Disappointed? Yeah. Over-the-top with rage? Nope.

And you wonder why liberals think the greatest threat of violence comes from the right?
