Doctor tells Obama supporters: Go elsewhere for health care

No need. I responded to it in full, with relevance, the first time.
No you didn't. Here, I'll repeat the rewording of my posts again for those that are a bit slow. No need for anyone but Jallman to read this post, the rest of you carry on:

I said nothing remotely close to saying his medical license had anything to do with his politics. I have said that his expression of his politics have everything to do with his ethics and professionalism. I have said this would be true whether he was a conservative or liberal. I have said that his ethics and unprofessionalism would preclude my using him as my caregiver.

I work in technology. Occasionally, I indulge myself by talking about politics with coworkers. It only sometimes gets contentious, but I always regret it, because I think it is unprofessional. So, through that lense, I observe this doctor. I can't help but be disgusted.

This disgust 'clouds my view' as to whether I feel I could trust him. I conclude that I could not.

fortunately, that doctor's politically motivated action is atypical of most medical practitioners
but that does not make his action anything other than distasteful
i would anticipate his decision to dismiss over 50% of his patient load will ultimately affect his financial condition
but that is the consequence of his choice; one he is entitled to make

and while i am pro choice, i cannot find that it is reasonable to expect someone who is morally opposed to abortions to perform one

And reported.

I just think that's way too serious a look at that sign. It's obviously tongue in cheek because any rational person who looks at that sign immediately knows that he can't possibly know who you voted for since our ballots are secret.

If he had a question on the medical form asking you who you voted for, then he would have crossed a line. But this is just a political point being driven home, albeit in a very cras way.

Right. He doesn't know who I voted for. To me, that's not the point. The fact that he was unprofessional enough, in my opinion, to put up such an immature sign, I wouldn't feel comfortable going to a doctor who exhibited such unprofessional behavior. If I saw a doctor call someone stupid, I wouldn't go to that doctor. If I saw a doctor give someone the finger, I wouldn't go to that doctor. My confidence in that person as a medical professional would be lost. That's how I feel about the sign. That's just me.

Oh really? Well you might be surprised, because we (especially the president) have been extremely tolerant of the nonsense from the right, waiting for them to come to their senses. If you insist on making this unpleasantness permanent, you will quickly discover that we haven't even begun to push yet.

Doctors like anyone else including but not limited to Politicians (who can and do vote themselves pay increases regardless the state of the economy) dislike their income being hit by Political measures.

The President WILL reverse the cuts in Medicare payments to Doctors, this will inevitably lead to this Healthcare bill costing Billions more than Obama economists had initially enthusiastically proclaimed.

Oh what glorious times we live in where Politicians preach CHANGE, yet go about enriching themselves at the expense of everyone else, even those who voted them into office in the first place.

I honestly not sure if his weasel technicality lets him dodge the AMA, but it doesn't fly in the court of decent behavior. He is turning away patients on political grounds for all practical purposes, and should face criticism for doing so. He needs to keep his political views separate from his professional duties.
Why should he, the AMA doesn't?

Plus it's his professional duties that are currently being politicized.

He politicized his professional duties. Period.

Obama health care supporters: Florida doctor tells Obama health care supporters to go elsewhere - OrlandoSentinel.com

Now that's a smart Doc! :) I like his attitude.

It's his right to do this. To me, it's bad business (it's like saying, "I won't treat women, or blacks, or people with children, etc...), but if that's what he wants to do...

Why should he, the AMA doesn't?

Bad behavior on the part of others doesn't justify doing the same yourself.

You brought the AMA into it, not me.

I'd give him a medal. He can do what he wants... perhaps in the dictatorship world view, he'd be prosecuted, but not until the Constitution is removed from existence. All the little Obama bed wetters really are taking this personally. Entertaining as hell... :boohoo:

Actually, what I see is the anti-Obama bed wetters taking the health care legislation personally. Entertaining as hell... :boohoo:

we haven't even begun to push yet.

sure you have, where ya been?

he went to IOWA 3 days after the bill's passage (LOL!) to SELL it

RealClearPolitics - Obama's Health Care Speech in Iowa City

yesterday he was in MAINE so as to reach the NEW HAMPSHIRE market

and he was HILARIOUS:

“Every single day since I signed reform into law, there’s another poll or headline that says ‘Nation still divided on health reform! Polls haven’t changed yet!’” Obama said in a speech at Portland Expo Center.

he needs polls to change?

LOL!

“Well, yeah. It just happened last week. It’s only been a week!” Obama then departed from his prepared remarks to take a further stab at the press. “Can you imagine if some of these reporters were working on a farm, and you planted some seeds, and they came out the next day and they looked and said, ‘Nothing's happened. There's no crop! We're going to starve! Oh, no! It's a disaster!”

LOL!

Obama topped his remarks with a reminder that despite his recent health-care-centric events, he is still focused on jobs.

his recent health-care-centric events?

LOL!

he "repeatedly mocked republicans," politico continues, and took a swipe at "pundits" who were "obsessed" with polls and politics...

who was that he said was "obsessed" with health care?

LOL!

President Obama: 'It?s only been a week' - Carol E. Lee - POLITICO.com

just when is that push back gonna start, again?

cuz we could all use some good laughs, at least

in times like these

Thank you, Captain. These comments about how our "hysteria" is priceless is disgusting. But if it makes these people feel better about themselves, then go for it.

If a liberal doctor did something like this, I would see it as a lack of professionalism as well.

Is there any other way to take it?

Pathetic. Despicable.

What's next: Conservative and liberal bathrooms? You need to pass a purity test to get a CAT scan?

He's welcome to his political view, but he should probably just write a letter to the editor -- or join a debate forum ;)

Hey...didja read the article where it said he isn't actually turning anyone away?

The olive branch was extended and refused.

olive branch---LOL!

obama on march 1 announced he would "consider" FOUR gop ideas in his pig of a bill

1. tom coburn's proposal to use undercover "patients" to root out m and m fraud from inside

2. ending the cornhusker kickback

3. ending the gatoraid exemption for brother bill in florida

and (my favorite):

4. FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS CASH for the express purpose TO STUDY (LOL!) tort reform at the various state levels

Obama to incorporate GOP ideas in health plan - Health care reform- msnbc.com

#'s 1 and 4, to my knowledge, never became part of the law

of course, a couple days after announcing his "considerations," he went about trying to DEEM his passage

olive branch---LOL!

The doctor has every right to put that sign there as long as he isn't actually refusing anyone. However, it is ALSO the right of people to criticize the doctors signs as well.

The doctor is acting like an ass.

the doctor is not the story

the deleterious effect of obamacare on private providers across the land is

YOU CAN'T EXPAND M AND M BY 12 MIL WHILE CUTTING THEIR FUNDING HALF A T

ALREADY SOME HALF THE DOCTORS IN THE NATION WILL NOT TAKE M NOR M PATIENTS

discussing dr cassell is little more than gossip, politically speaking

Is there any other way to take it?

It is personal.

My comment was a response to Okham perception of liberals taking this issue personally. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If these issues can be taken personally by conservatives, then they can be taken personally by liberals. There is no distinction.
