Dead Marine's father ordered to pay protesters' legal costs

(CNN) -- The father of a Marine whose funeral was picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church says an order to pay the protesters' legal costs in a civil claim is nothing less than a "slap in the face."

"By the court making this decision, they're not only telling me that they're taking their side, but I have to pay them money to do this to more soldiers and their families," said Albert Snyder, whose son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, was killed in action in Iraq in 2006.

Members of the fundamentalist church based in Topeka, Kansas, appeared outside Snyder's funeral in 2006 in Westminster, Maryland, carrying signs reading "You're going to hell," "God hates you" and "Thank God for dead soldiers."

Anyway... what sick **** is this. I can't believe this would be the ruling. I really hope there is some way to reverse this. The sick people of the Westboro baptist church need to go and live in their hole and never come out. Sick bastards.

Anyway... what sick **** is this. I can't believe this would be the ruling. I really hope there is some way to reverse this. The sick people of the Westboro baptist church need to go and live in their hole and never come out. Sick bastards.

Have to say the moment I saw the heading, Fred Phelp came to mind. Those people are soooooooooooo sick. They do indeed need to go into their hole and never come out.

I was so sickened when I first saw this story I had sever dificulty even reading about it. Tonight on Chris MATHEWS Chris had the father of the Marine on and it was hard to watch. Chris informed the viewers that O'Reilly had been helping the father fight the ruling. Chris noted that people could donate to a fund tot help the father fight the ruling and pay for the overturning of it. Michael Schmarkonich was on and it was brought out that Mikey SCHMARKY was a greta help to the father.

Yes Virginia reasonable people from both sides of the spectrum can and do cooprate in common causes.

Yeah that is true, I dont agree with O'Reilly but you know what, at least he's helping this guy out. I mean for gods sake he shouldnt have to pay a penny to those sick bastards at WBC. Whatever judge or jury thought that was a good idea should be jailed themselves.
