GOP Fires Staffer over $1,946 Topless Club Visit

"Since 1980, the Republican Party has used the issue of family values to attract socially conservative voters."
[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_values]Family values - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Whatever. That's just a lazy and shallow analysis of a much more complex platform.

Let's check our your analysis ~

That's kinda stupid. I am a Republican but I have no interest in promoting these so called "family values".

We're talking about a bunch of guys going to a strip club here. It's not like they got busted with a dead hooker in the trunk of their car.

Very impressive analysis, I'm sure that those donating to the family values party will have no problem with their money being spent on a bondage themed strip club.

As well they should.
Too bad you're not calling for the resignation of the all the tax cheats working for Obama. As well you should.

But anyway, the staffers should be fired for misusing money.

Now this is a funny story. And I'm not trying to imply any points about the GOP, this is just funny.

The RNC should never have reimbursed the individual for such an expense. It was non-campaign related. It had nothing to do with politics.

The RNC should be focused on political activities, not individuals' entertainment. If the people involved wanted to attend that club or any other entertainment venue, they should have paid out of their own pockets. That the reimbursement request was not immediately rejected suggests a breakdown or weakness in the RNC's financial controls.

Prime example of a primary difference between the two parties.

Republicans get rid of their bad apples.

Liberals champion their bad apples, re-elect them, and use the race card or any baiting measure available against any critics of them.

Maybe they didn't understand what they were reimbursing. You don't think the guy put lap dance on his voucher do you?

The Democrats run the worst of their lot for high level leadership positions.

I didn't give an analysis. I just made a statement in response to your idiotic insinuation that Republicans are, by default, family values supporters.

Very impressive analysis, I'm sure that those donating to the family values party will have no problem with their money being spent on a bondage themed strip club.

OK, now take a break from fluffing that straw man and get back to the point. I certainly don't have a problem with that insignificant amount being spent at a strip club and I am sure there are many Republicans like myself who don't either.

It's simplistic but that doesn't make it untrue.

...positions that come with fancy titles like "czar", too!

You know these positions have been around since Nixon and 'czar' is just a media shorthand for a longer official title... right?

Other than pissing off the statist social/religious conservative donors who gives a ****? Hopefully the man or group had a good time.

Err, how about pissing off every donor? The funds aren't donated for strip club visits. They're donated to help the party do its political work.

So if I make a political donation and it's used to pay for Sky's "college education", I should be OK with it?

I don't get strip clubs... You pay all this money to see a girl naked for a short time but you can't touch..... Sorta like marriage. :ssst:

You obviously know very little about how a lot of political work is done.

Boy is that ever true.

Paging President Clinton......

Exactly what kind of "political work" is done at a bondage themed strip club?

It's definitely not the first time that "courting" went on at a strip club. Any number of things could have been the goal: reeling in a new donor, lobbying for a more friendly view of an issue, etc.

The nonprofit I work for had a gambling tournament with waitresses in "bunny" outfits skimpier than hooters girls wear. They reeled in 8 new steady donors and made over 100k.

You don't know what they were up to and neither do I. But what I do know is that deals and donor courting are done in all kinds of environments.

What kind of political work is done on the golf coarse?

On a golf "coarse?" I don't know. But I have never seen bondage themed stripping on a golf course.

You still have not explained what "political work" is done at a bondage themed strip club.

The greatest business deals are made in the 'mans mans' atmosphere.
