House GOP No. 2: Someone shot at my office

I didn't say you were, I was answering your sarcastic rhetorical question.

Nooo You actually implied I was bring hypocritical. Your post:

And if you want to be a hypocrite if at any point you were scolding Democrats for labeling all republicans racist for alleged racial remarks.

That isn't answering any question.

n part because based on the posting habits and history of some posters here I wouldn't be surprised at all to see some people doing that (and already some have in other thread talking about how its "the left" that does this stuff, as if either side has a monopoly or that either side should simply be lumped in with such acts)

Those posts were made because some of the liberals were overexagerating these incidences especially the alleged ones and pretending only one side has crazies in their midst.

I'm just glad whatever moron fired the shot didn't hurt anyone in the process.

Amen,

If authorities find out who cut the gas, fired this shot, actually sent death threats, etc I hope they're persued to the full extent of the law.

Though I do hope if any of these things are staged or trumpted up it'll be found out as well, and reported. I'm not a fan of baseless accusations being trumpted up for political advantage.

Wait a sec ... I thought liberals hated guns ...

What you fail to understand is some toothless rednecks are actually too stupid to read -- they see "Congressman" and just start shootin'...

Nooo You actually said I was bring hypocritical. Your post:

Ah, note the "IF". See, I graduated from the school of Glenn Beck "How to Ask Questions". If I wanted to say you were being hypocritical I would've said "You're being hypocritical because". I didn't say that. I said IF you were to do it and IF you also complained about the Dem's doing it THEN you'd be hypocritical. See, I put in qualifiers, its like asking questions, there's nothing wrong with that right.

No, in all seriousness, was not meaning to imply directly you were being hypocritical, I've not seen you act either way on it thus far. You asked:

"If the liberals want to label all republicans as racists for an alleged racial remark can we label all democrats attempted murderers now?"

I answered, yes, you could do that if you wanted to be as low as them AND if you wanted to be a hypocrite IF you had complained about them doing it.

What, do you think you're the only person that's allowed to get their point across by making rhetorical or open ended statements?

What you fail to understand is some toothless rednecks are actually too stupid to read -- they see "Congressman" and just start shootin'...
Ah, right. Only stupid rednecks own guns. What was I thinking?

I'd comment on your idiotic, pathetic stereotyping and broadly deflecting post, but I'm sure you'd just say you were giving back to Coronado what he was giving. Which of course to that I'd have to reply....

Well, little boy, two wrongs don't make a right.

if they cant read then how do they see congressman?.......:ssst:

Pathetic.

So many liberals have dissolved into weak kneed apologists for the violent extremists among their ranks.

Their failure to condemn these initial acts of domestic terrorism will encourage and give comfort to the instigators and ensure that there will be more terrorism committed in our land.

It's the gang that couldn't shoot straight … they got the wrong office.

reminds me of the insistance across the muslim world that Jews pulled off 9/11. because muslims could never do such a thing....

And, maybe there's another more important observation than merely that these people appear to be utterly foolish in their misdeeds. And that is, when one attempts to victimize political opponents: the act itself reflects not on the character and politics of the target but rather that of the aggressor.

These recent acts bring discredit and disfavor to the supporters of health care reform; whatever merits their arguments may have had, they are brushed aside by the horror and dismay people feel towards these arbitrary acts of violence.

More important, we have entered a new era of domestic terrorism and some liberals have forgotten the central principle that under girds our
representative democracy: everyone has the right to vote their conscience.

Today, those memory impaired liberals are rapidly becoming the greatest terrorist threat to our Republic and our way of life.

i'm not so sure that your claims of revulsion towards such acts will backlash on their supporters. it seems that phenomena is mostly restrained to right-wing whackos'. the guy who flew a plane into the IRS building left an online diatribe accusing politicians of taking bribes not to pass healthcare reform, yet he was connected in the media to the tea party?

still, it should be good incentive for both parties to discipline their extremes.

If you are looking for logic or intellectual consistency from him, I think you will end up being quite disappointed.

...and thus, the start of the second Civil War. :doh

I don't see how an actual civil war could start over this. Where would the territory lines be drawn? How is a war gonna be fought between two factions that can't readily identify each other?

I think it's just extremist bull**** on both sides. The sooner nutcases like this get ferreted out and thrown in gitmo, the better.

Hmm.
I wonder what your reaction would be if someone used similar language to describe colored people and why they vote for Democrats.

Eric Cantor is a jackass. He couldn't make his statements solely about what happened to him? He decided to attack Democrats for being shocked that someone would cut a gas line? Yeah, that's nothing to be afraid of.

Well if someone is provoking violence against you, are you going to talk about the eventual act of violence against you as if it were a random act of violence? Or perhaps you would correlate the two circumstances?

[It's a shame you couldn't offer your own blanket condemnation of violence Chappy.]

Where is the apologism for violence? And am I to understand bricks flying through windows can't kill people?

Did the Republicans think they could whip people into a frenzy, starting with Sarah Palin during the campaign and ending with Republican congresspeople waving the don't tread on me flag from the balcony of the capital as the health care bill got passed?

Did the GOP really think that encouraging people with guns and signs threatening gun violence that a gun would never be fired in the name of politics?

Lie with dogs and you get fleas.

Time for the Republicans in congress to tone down the threatening rhetoric and calm their followers down.

Ah, right. Only stupid rednecks own guns. What was I thinking?

those ill-mannered simplistic yahoos, clinging to their boom-sticks and sky-god. they're not nuanced enough to know that when you want to intimidate someone with the threat of violence you do it with thousands of your new best friends for support. truly only a regressive unevolved fundamentalist would hold on to individuality enough to want to do something on his own.

So where are my friends from the other thread, about teabaggers spitting on Democrats and throwing bricks in their offices, saying that you can't believe everything you read and if its not on video the reports can't be trusted?

If there's no video, it's a lie! :roll::roll::roll:

If they don't show up it just shows they are OK if their side does it but not yours. None of which changes the fact what this guy did was an idiot and should be charged with any crime he committed.

That's true.

The policy of congressional Republicans is to praise the fortitude of the anti-health care reform demonstrations and disregard their death threats and vandalisms; even when these death threats are etched onto the signs they are carrying.

And apparently also to complain when the reverse occurs and violence is directed at them.
