No, you stop trying to paint the opposition as just a bunch of fringe cooks. It won't work anyway because the people you're trying to convince are Democrats and Independents who are against this bill, too.

I paint the fringe kooks (including the cooks among them) as fringe kooks. Those who oppose this bill but are rational, non-violent individuals are not fringe kooks.

Not at all. It is definetly a joint effort of all involved in this societies future. Before the wars and before President Obama less of the population payed attention to politics. So the oblivious majority werent engaged and just went through the motions. Therefore the government formed into this structure in which oblivion became the norm. Not knowing the result of their actions and what is really going on caused another recession, allowed terrorist cells to gain such power, and the list goes on. Now more people are engaged I would say the majority of the people now actually care about what the government is doing. But instead of using that new realized power for the success of the country people now are abusing it causing a tension that is just not a successful tool of protest when in fact we are at an advantage to really make changes . So in kind if we the American people put ourselves on a path that is less civil so will government. And we can have all the guns and bricks we need but I guarantee you government will have bigger ones and the fallout result is less freedoms as a result of uncivil protest for more freedoms. I am all for people coming together and protesting what is wrong but to become what is indecent and what america is not ourselves as citizens just to prove a point really is shooting yourself and also your friends and family in the foot and I cannot agree with any cause that allows for growing craziness and destruction. Im all for creation though. Create the solutions and I will listen.
