Arizona sheriff launches immigration sweep

(Shows judge pic)....
Judge, 'Well there is a resemblance there, I'm going to dismiss the defense request & send this to trial", your request for bail is denied & you are to be remanded, next case"......:2razz:

Where'd they get this pic from considering it is already known that it doesn't exist in the hypotehtical?

Who cares?..... if a cop wants to see ID, they will see ID.

Who cares? Who cares about officers violating the 4th amendment against unreasonable search and seizure? Jesus Christ. Are you even listening to yourself?

Please stop calling yourselves conservatives. Conservatives uphold the constitution.

negative.. you already have Tucker's testimony that he has refused to show ID.. I have done the same, they cannot force you to show it without cause, although they may try to fool you by projecting otherwise.

Pick a pic...... do you really think out of a couple million wanted posters a cop can't find one that looks like you?

Wanna buy a bridge?

Find one before arraignment.......
Don't make me say how easy it would be.....

Who care where you worked and under what conditions.... that and 5 bucks will get you a cup of coffee, and maybe even a doughnut.

That are actually hanging in every police station in the country?!?!?!?

It's highly unlikely they'll be able to produce one that actually can be argued to have a legitimate purpose hanging in their station since they lied in order to get their probable cause in the first place.

Hey... I all for the Constitution, but I also live in the real world. If a cop wants to see ID, he will see ID.... or he can hold you until he is certain you are who you say you are.

You are grasping at straws......;)

Don't make me point out that it would need to be valid for the dates and make sense to be hanging in the police station. That complete fabrications (such as the one's you are describing) tend to be easy to spot.

Says the guy who argues that there is a pile of wanted posters around that look like everyone on the planet and are not completely illogical to be put up in every police station on the planet.

Sure... I'm grasping.

There are also these things with pages called 'books'.......
Who's to say the officer in question didn't look at wanted pics in his spare time for recreational purposes?........

We are a nation that is defined by the rule of law. Our law enforcers need to follow the laws, and are sworn to uphold and defend them. Excusing them for running slipshod over the rights of people in the community is simply beneath contempt.

VICTIM??? ...you mean CRIMINAL I'm sure!

I don't know...do you consider all suspects to be criminals? Or do you understand that we have a presumption of innocence in this country. Thus, someone is only a criminal after being convicted of a crime.

Not me..... you can’t argue with dishonest people and win, and anyone that reads this thread will see just how dishonest some here are.

Victim. I said victim and that is precisely what I meant despite your hysterical and emotional need to paint it as anything other than what it is.

Now you were saying?

Why are so many law and order types so quick to ignore the laws that are inconvenient for them?

Why are so many law and order types so quick to ignore the laws that are inconvenient for them?

Because they are emotional and subjective in their idea of justice. Justice, law, and order are not subjective concepts. In order for them to be effective, in tandem, there has to be total objectivity. But all we hear in this thread is, "Sheriff Joe makes dem crimnuhls wear pink underwear. That's funny right there, yessiree it is. He wun of dem guhd guyz. hyuck hyuck hyuck"

That's about all their arguments amount to. Nothing objective when looking at the law.

It seems odd, doesn't it?

Law and Order type: Illegal immigrants are criminal scum!!!!1111!!! They are BREAKING THE LAW!!!!111111!!!1 Cops should be able to arrest anyone and force them to prove they are citizens. They shouldn't really need probable cause to do it either!

Rational person: That would be against the law. Do you really want to see cops breaking the law, thus making them criminal scum?

Law and Order type: Who cares?!?!?!?! The cops do that all the time.

Rational person: So you're OK with the cops being "criminal scum", but if it's your landscaper, you go ape****?!?!?:confused:

Law and Order type: Cops aren't criminal scum, the illegals are!

Rational person: :doh

What do you expect from some of the people who think Attica was about a bunch of criminals wanting TVs in their rooms?

Critics say Arpaio's deputies have racially profiled Hispanics.

Not quite. Hispanics are an assortment of national groups, not a racial or ethnic group, which is how the whites of Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Puerto Rico, and numerous minorities of other Latin American countries, the blacks of Cuba and the Dominican Republic (and Brazil in both cases, if you want to go there), and the Indians of Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Mexico, etc. are all Hispanic.

In this case, we know who he's looking at: Indians and Mestizos in the Americas

Trini's people have been here since before there were six flags flying over Texas. Her grandparents were Cherokee and Mexican Indians who liked to eat on the floor and asked to be buried in a mountain when they died--the Indian way.

Trini's skin is as brown and red as the earth. She looks like she's always been here. And at age 72, she can't remember a time when her relatives weren't here. Though she was born in these parts, she doesn't speak English well, and cannot read nor write.

In other words, Trini would be a prime suspect for la migra--border patrol agents who constantly search for "illegal aliens"--even hundreds of miles from any border. If Congress has its way and adopts a national ID card for everyone, it is people like Trini who will be constantly asked to produce it.

In a great irony of U.S. history, the true natives of this land have become the immigrants. People who can trace their ancestry back the farthest are stopped and questioned because "they look Hispanic"--meaning they look Indian.

Social class, admixture, and skin color variation in Mexican-Americans and Anglo-Americans living in San Antonio, Texas

Social class may act in different ways as a barrier to gene flow in urban populations, depending on ethnicity. We test the hypothesis that biological variation is affected by social class subdivision using skin reflectance data collected for 393 Anglo-American and 930 Mexican-American adults in the major urban population of San Antonio, Texas. Two socioeconomic groups were sampled for the Anglo-American population: a middle-income transitional group and a high-income suburban group. In addition, we sampled a third socioeconomic group for Mexican-Americans: a low income barrio. Sex and age effects on skin color are minimal. Social class has no effect on skin color variation for Anglo-Americans, whereas there is a highly significant effect on social class subdivision for Mexican-Americans. Admixture estimates were derived from skin reflectance data and show that the proportion of Native American ancestry decreases as social class increases.

So Arpaio's storm troopers exhibit the worst elements of statist authoritarianism in a county named after an indigenous nation in a U.S. state with massive indigenous heritage. "Racial profiling" will fail him because the Indians of the Southwestern U.S. bear a resemblance to the Indians/mestizos of Mexico to the shallow eye of the storm trooper...even the scar of matching Spanish names thanks to their influence, creating a sort of European-imposed homogeneity that did not previously exist.

There's nothing more insulting than an audacious pup who's been here a shorter time than the Mayflower, who's a descendant of an ethnic group (Italians) themselves reviled as racially inferior "non-whites" less than a century ago (remember Sacco and Vanzetti?), presuming to tell the sons and daughters of Arizona to "go back to Mexico."

Seriously? Who is ignorant enough to think that?
