Here's to a speedy and full as possible recovery!
I don't think so, if that semi was fully loaded they are lucky to be alive. Those things can get into double digit tons in weight, the physics alone would say just the force they would have endured at highway speed could do that.Yup. I read that in a local website after I posted my question. I wonder if the airbag did that to her. That sucks.
I got hit like that once. The idiot in the second car ahead of me decided he wanted to turn left and braked suddenly. The driver in front of me and I were able to stop in time, unfortunately for me, the one behind me didn't. Lucky for me, I drove a mid-size SUV while she drove a sedan, so her front was bent out of shape while my bumper was relatively unscathed. That's why I'll always go for the big car when I'm driving in the US.
Oh, and best wishes to the Reid family.
Another driving pet-peeve of mine: People who change lanes barely a car length ahead of you, effectively creating a tailgate situation.
I think my faith in the contributors here at Debate Politics has been restored.
You guys rock.
