BBC News - Iranian film director Jafar Panahi arrested

Plainclothes police broke into Mr Panahi's family home and arrested him, his wife and daughter and 15 other guests, his son Panah told reporters.

The director, known for his social realism, has made several films critical of Iran's regime.

The Tehran prosecutor's office has confirmed the arrest to reporters but denied it was connected to politics.

"At about 10 on Monday evening several plainclothes agents broke into the house," Panah Panahi told an opposition website.

They arrested everyone who was there and searched the house taking away computers and other personal belongings, he said.

I fear this is only the beginning in Iran and there will much more of it to come.

When those in charge fear what is being said because it tells the truth about the lies or injustice or those in charge are ignoring the will of the people they get paranoid because they know what they are doing is wrong.

They may even set up a web site where there weak minded supporters who can think for themselves can get talking points and instructions on how to deal with the opposition in an effort to spread lies and propaganda trying to make it look like it's a real movement of support.

Oh wait a minute that's what Obama is doing. Well it's the same thing. Like Obama pal Hugo Chavez Iran's leaders need to stop descent and foster an atmosphere of fear in those who speak out against anyone who refuses to go along with Obama.
No wait I mean anyone who refuses to sit back shut up and just let the Government rule as it wishes with impunity.

Why even post this? There are way more relevant stories/issues surrounding Iran than this.
