2 students shot, 1 man arrested at Deer Creek Middle School

The shooting was reported at 3:14 p.m., according to Techmeyer. The students were identified as Reagan Weber and Matt Thieu. Both 8th graders were initially treated at Littleton Adventist Hospital, but Matt was transferred to Children's Hospital where he was listed in critical condition tonight. Reagan was treated in the emergency room at Adventist, then released.

Techmeyer said earlier Tuesday that the children's wounds are not thought to be life-threatening although the 32-year-old man, identified tonight as Bruco Strong Eagle Eastwood, was using a "high-powered rifle."

Eastwood has prior arrests for menacing and domestic violence, according to computerized court records.

My heart goes out to the parents. I couldn't imagine anything more horrible. I hope Thieu pulls through.

My heart goes out to both these families and I hope the Thieu pulls through. I also hope they catch the SOB that did this.

It sounds as if an insanity plea might well be forth coming fro some of the reporting out there.

I don't think this is an excuse ever.

Had either of the victims died the death penalty would be in order.

The teacher who tackled can't receive too much praise he is a true hero in evey sense of the word.

And see that is what I get for 1) reading to fast and 2) doing too many things at once. Reading skills go down.
