Family Guy’ Voice Actor Says Palin ‘Does Not Have a Sense of Humor’

‘Family Guy’ Voice Actor Says Palin ‘Does Not Have a Sense of Humor’ - ArtsBeat Blog - NYTimes.com

When you've been smacked down by the chick with down syndrome, you know you've been pwned.

Who happens to be a paid actor........
One person profits at another's expense, same old story....;)
In fact, they might have hired her just so they could make this type of justification....
We could take a poll of other people with Down's syndrome to see if they agree...Or not....

Evidently Family Guy was Sarah Palin's "Who hates or wants to kill Trig" for this week. It looks like most people have caught on now that all she is doing is whoring her special needs kid out to demagogue others with. Most people see that as something only a total piece of **** would do, but I suspect her little cult will keep on buying it.

She is whoring, out her own family she lost all rights to complain about privacy. I believe its a sad state of things, when you use your son to get political points. People that do this loose my respect after they have done this.

It's lose, dude.

I'm going to complicate the discussion a bit. Now, I would not be apt to disagree that she "whores" out her family to score political points. On the other hand, I believe it is sincere outrage. Parents love their kids to death (usually, and duh, Fiddy, no crap, right?), but there is an added sense of dedication (typically, anyways) from those parents who have a special needs child. I think half of the damn movement is made up of folks like my parents, like my former teachers, and resource providers. They do tend to get sensitive about the whole thing, and to my opinion, at times, far too much so.

Now, I have no love for Family Guy, in fact, I usually despise it (for its lack of intelligence, lack of writing quality, bad songs, annoying side references, and so forth), but there needs to be something said for being able to poke fun at one's self. Not only that, but a sort of respectful teasing of minorities by majorities. It makes us human, and it can be liberating for people with special needs. Yeah, sometimes it gets out of hand, and is done to hurt people, but not always.

Because of that, I am not the best friend of political correctness in the movement that is supposed to represent me, and people of different disabilities that I do not have and can hardly conceive what it would be like to have them.

Modesty, respect, self-humor, self-depreciation (done healthily), can do a lot for people.

This young lady is the last person anyone should be listening to.

She was being used to make a bad joke and in intellectually incapable of recognizing it.

If she's right and it was just a joke I guess Obama and the Liberals all lack a sense of humor too since they were up in arms over the pictures of the white house with a huge water melon patch out front.

It was just a joke. What a bunch of hypocrites with double standards.

As pathetic as it is that Palin feels the need to complain about every time she's offended, it's even sadder that the media and others feel the need to turn every one of those ****ing incidents into a front-page story.

who

If the kid were gay & ridiculed, I think the reaction would have been quite different.....;)

It is just about the only time Special Education, Disabilities, the Disability Movement, etc. gets in the news-aside from some sort of vaccination connection story.

1. This "young lady" you speak of is a 39 year old woman who finished high school and attended college. I think she is more than "intellectually capable" to understand what a joke is.

2. You obviously don't know too many people with Down's syndrome to say asinine **** like that.

She seems to comprehend it just fine. Why exactly is she the last person to listen to? Who is the best authority on the matter?

It would be difficult to expect everyone or most people relevant to the conversation to have the same reaction. No matter what, there will be limitations to the opinions given.

Gays are made fun of all the time in sitcoms. Moreover, if Sarah Palin had a gay kid, she would send him to some Pray the Gay Out Camp before whoring him out to demagogue Democrats with, and then do the cover of People Magazine with an article about how they prayed the gay out of her kid, and thus she is so much better than those evil liberals. It would last until he got caught at a CPAC conference blowing a white married guy who was big in religious right behind the Focus on the Family booth.

See, I think you are misapplying the politics here. If she had a gay kid, she would be expected to prop him up and defend him to the last bit. She took a traditionally liberal issue and has used just about the same rhetoric as liberals use with this issue (well, liberals who care about this issue-many don't really care).

We adopted special needs, I don't use our kids to club people I disagree with over the head with. Its my understanding that John McCain adopted special needs, but I don't ever recall him ever even bringing it up, much less whoring her out to demagogue with. You would be surprised how many famous people and people in politics have special needs kids, yet whoring them out to demagogue with seems to be pretty much unique to Sarah Palin.

gay children are made fun of? Really? I dont see that.

There are a lot of people in the movement do about the same behavior. That type of gung-ho behavior by Palin in 2008 sparked my interest, because that was exactly the type of gung-ho behavior that should normally attract the movement to a person.

Do I think there is a lack of taste from Palin? Oh, most definitely. I do not like her because of it. To me, she takes politics into Jerry Springer territory.

How was presenting her family any different than Obama presenting his? Or Gore his? How did whe 'whore out' her retarded kid? She presented her whole family and it just so happens that her family is...shocking...a lot like a LOT of American families...but because a daughter had a child out of wed lock and had to deal with teen preganancy and another child had downs, she should have kept them under the rug?

Face it...she couldnt win...you would hate her no matter what she did...solely because she is a republican.

I guess I see your point tho...Mo' Bama, the new Obesity Czar just whored out her little chunksters too...which was ironic consider Mo's ass couldnt fit in a Prius without a sidecar...

Obama has not really talked about his family in the same style. But the point is, I think a lot of people in the special needs community just like that declarative style of how she would be supportive and a huge political advocate in Washington.

Afterwards it probably became tainted by all of the other things Palin would personally get attached to, but I think the style is complementary to what people really wanted to hear in that demographic.

Who is criticizing her for presenting her family? Everyone does that. What you don't seem to get is there is a difference between me taking my family to work one day and introducing them to everyone, and me telling my coworkers that I disagree with that they would setup death panels to kill my special needs kids, or clubbing them over the head with my special needs kids anytime they used the term "spaz". You pretty much relegate yourself to piece of **** territory as a parent when you start whoring your kids out like that.

Now you might be so blind as to not see that, but most people do, and thats why most people don't care for her.
