Official: Plane crash pilot left anti-IRS Web note - Yahoo! News

Federal law enforcement officials have said they were investigating whether the pilot, who is presumed to have died in the crash, slammed into the Austin building on purpose in an effort to blow up IRS offices. All the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing.

"Violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer," the long note on Stack's Web site reads, citing past problems with the tax-collecting agency.

"I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let's try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well," the note, dated Thursday, reads.

Anti-government sentiment behind this? Say it isn't so...

Let The Revolution begin. Time to take back our country.

He also blamed Bush for his troubles. Does that mean PBO must tone down the, "it's all Bush's fault", rhetoric? Does PBO share part of the blame here?

he had it out for the government bailing out the rich, but not him. He was all for government healthcare, too. Read the letter.

i quoted the letter:

I doubt either president does. It makes the most sense to me to cast all the blame onto the crazy person who did the crazy thing.

Want to know what else is crazy? People taking an act committed by a crazy person, and using it to justify some political statement or the other.

I was just tuggin' on the Liberals's chain. But, you can bet that if he had said, "Obama", vice, "Bush", that this would be the fault of the Right wing hate mongering racists inciteing violence and would present a clear need for censorship of certain Right wing talking heads.

And if this had been about some sort of liberal concern, a lot of right wingers would be doing it too. What is your point?

Reacting like this is just hackery and does not add anything useful to the discussion.

And if he was dark skinned and muslim we'd have people swearing up and down him being a muslim is what really caused this, that Barack Obama failed to protect us and that its all his and islams fault.

See, rampant speculation not based on the actual circumstance but about things that can not actually happen is fun!

As far as your "tuggin' on liberals chains". Rush Limbaugh isn't on a debate board where baiting and trolling isn't allowed when he does his "media tweaks". I'd not suggest trying to ply his style here.

So far we've had a few, very few, people on the board thus far has jumped on either the "OMG its all Obama's fault!" or the "OMG this is all those damn tea partiers faults" ala some in the Fort Hood or the FED hanging. Lets not start ranting and throwing gross hyperbole around to combat scarecrows that are not present save for in your imagination at the moment.

The guy is probably just another nutjob Timothy McVeigh type. The fact that there are nutjobs out there like this guy is not some indictment of the right any more so than Maoists in India are an indictment of the left. It ought to tell some of these Glenn Beck types out there to tone it down a little though being there are nutjobs out there like this guy though.

You are absolutely correct. That guy was a couple of tea leaves short of a full bag. And that's it for today from the completely tasteless jokes department.

Well, no. We should not change how we do things for fear of random nutjobs. I don't care for the Beck types, but I would not want them to change for something like this.

The guy seemed to be extremely anti-bush of which people accuse Beck of being a shill for, anti "big corporation" which people accuse Beck of being a shill for, and seem to be in favor of government health care of which Bell is accused of being a shill against. If Glenn Beck truly was any kind of influence on this guy with his rhetoric, enough to have ANY kind of affect on helping spur something like this, then you'd think he'd have SOME kind of affect on all the rest of that too.

Your send off shows the insincerity in the beginning of your post

What I am saying is that people with a microphone out there out to have sense enough to measure their words a little bit because their are some really crazy and potentially violent people out there. If you use revolutionary type language, call the current government fascist / communist, and spend your time hatemongering, unfortunately you might have some nutjobs like this guy listening to you.

Which is the same reason people give for why violence should be removed from video games, cursing taken out of movies, sex appeal out of TV. Why wrestling shouldn't be shown to children, why D&D is the work of the devil, and why religion should be banished.

People shouldn't change things based on the fact that a miniscule portion of society may perform a negative action in due to it. Especially when there are usually underlining issues with said people that do perform negative actions in part due to the above things that would've likely lead to them performing the same type of action, just for a different reason, anyways.

Still no. The hatemongers will find another person to listen to, or read, or watch. The problem is the nutjobs themselves.

God damn person of unannounced religious background. It is all because of his zealotry to this unannounced religious figure and his shouting of religious toned rhetoric that made him commit this crime. We should double check people's unannounced religious background before we allow them to buy personal planes, who knows what the next crazy unannounced religious nut-job would do in the name of his unannounced religious god.

Bryan Danielson is starting on TV next week, so you just stay the hell away from my wrestling.

Right. There are people already predisposed to violent action. After this person finally commits an act of such severe violence to warrant investigation, the hunt for the scapegoat begins. We find the most recent trigger and place all the blame on said trigger, as if there were no deeper issues responsible for his/her violence.
