Fox News Poll: Most Voters Say Allow Gays to Serve Openly

Fine, in all fairness, it wasn't Bush's fault that 9-11 happened. Nor was it Obama's fault that Ft. Hood happened. And neither of them can be completely credited for keeping such attacks from occurring.

Are you happy Mr. Anti Demagoguery!

Yes, quite.

Firstly, you have no proof of this. Secondly, not gays, not me, not you can control what parents say to their kids.

I have proof.. I am a parent and when my children were small I took care of the information about gays and sex as did my 3 sons and my daughter and they all turned out well except one who is in grad school and will be a Doctor in Geo Chemistr...... he got brainwashed by those left wing Profs about Global warming but I am slowly turning him around so they all turned out well.......

I don't want any liberal teacher teaching my kids about anything but the 3 Rs..that is what they are getting paid for, especially in grade school........

Why wasn't it Obama's fault....seems like he would have learned after 9/11.........

Alas, I guess the 13 people who died at Ft. Hood truly is comparable to the nearly 3,000 who died on September 11th. Your victory sir.

One death is one to many my left wing friendd.......You have no value for human life.........

Well it's nice to know that Obama has succeeded in keeping foreign terrorists from attacking us again even though we had that one domestic terrorist attack. Bush certainly failed in that respect.

Blind luck with the Christmas day bomber....Obama ****ed everything up.....His homeland security officer should be fired........

No, he deserves to be rewarded with a medal. Isn't that what Bush did every time someone ****ed something up?

Obama has succeeded in preventing a foreign terrorist attack in his first year. Bush did not. Obama is already a better president. It doesn't matter how many years Bush prevented another foreign terrorist attack, he failed to prevent the first one. Case closed.

Obama failed on the first one to.

That's a stretch...and even (and thats a huge if) a true terrorist tie was ever established in doesn't even register compared to 911.

FBI set to probe Fort Hood gunman Nidal Hasan's 9/11 links - Times Online

The FBI is set to investigate possible links between the gunman who killed 13 US soldiers at Fort Hood and a radical preacher in contact with at least one of the September 11 hijackers.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, an army psychiatrist, went on the rampage at the military base in Texas last Thursday.

It has emerged that Major Hasan's family attended the Dar al Hijrah Islamic Centre in Falls Church, Virginia, and that the funeral of his mother, Hanan, was held there on May 31 2001.

At that time the imam of the mosque was Anwar al-Awlaki, a Muslim radical who saw Islam and America as enemies. Interviewed by the FBI after the September 11 terror attacks, Mr Awlaki admitted meeting hijacker Nawaf al-Hazmi several times in San Diego before he moved to Virginia in early 2001. Al-Hazmi was at the time living with Khalid al-Mihdhar, another hijacker. The two Saudi Arabians were on the American Airlines flight that crashed into the Pentagon.

Al-Hazmi and a third hijacker, Hani Hanjour, who piloted the Pentagon crash jet, attended the Dar al Hijrah mosque several times in early April 2001, although Mr Aulaqi has denied meeting them then.

Last night Senator Joe Lieberman called for an investigation into whether the army missed signs that Major Hasan had been turning towards Islamic extremism.

Students on a 2007-2008 master’s programme at a military college revealed yesterday that they had complained to faculty about Major Hasan’s alleged anti-American views. They included him giving a presentation that justified suicide bombing and telling classmates that Islamic law trumped the US Constitution.

“If Hasan was showing signs, saying to people that he had become an Islamist extremist, the US Army has to have zero tolerance,” Senator Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut, told Fox News. “He should have been gone.”

Mr Awlaki, who was born in the US to Yemeni parents, left America in 2002, eventually traveling to his parents' homeland.

He was suspected of links with extremism even before 9/11, being investigated by the FBI in 1999 and 2000 for contacts with a possible procurement agent for Osama bin Laden. During this investigation, the FBI learned that Mr Awlaki knew people involved in raising money for Hamas, a Palestinian group on the US State Department’s terrorist list.

Let's be clear on something. Since the conservatives like to give all the credit to Bush for preventing terrorist attacks since 9-11, it is only fair that he receive all the credit for failing to prevent 9-11.

Like Obama failed to prevent Ft Hood

Blind luck with the Christmas day bomber....Obama ****ed everything up.....His homeland security officer should be fired........

It wasn't even a flight that originated in the US....you do realize that don't you?

No, he deserves to be rewarded with a medal. Isn't that what Bush did every time someone ****ed something up?

Bush had one terrorist attack in 8 years and that one was Clintons fault....Obama has had 2 in 1 month.........

Bush had one terrorist attack in 8 years and that one was Clintons fault....Obama has had 2 in 1 month.........

It was Clinton's fault 9 months into Bush's term?

Maybe if Bush had done less vacationing and more presiding, then the terrorists wouldn't have succeeded.

Nice try but it means nothing. Can Obama continue to stop terror attacks like Bush did?

Nice try but means nothing. It happened on Bush's watch.

See how silly this looks? Just an example of how silly YOUR post looks.

I don't think it's very fair to place the blame solely on Bush for that. While it did happen on his watch, there were screw ups all the way up the chain of command that led to 9/11 happening under our radar.

I agree with this. 9/11 was the fault of the terrorists. If Bush had the information to stop it, he would have.

Teaching information and teaching morals are two different things, NP.

Bush had one terrorist attack in 8 years and that one was Clintons fault....Obama has had 2 in 1 month.........

NP, this sounds ridiculous. Then lets blame the recession on Bush. You're acting like a partisan hack when you say stuff like this, and I know you're smarter than this.

And we are suppose to be the intolerant ones..........what a joke.....

Uhhh.. guess what? Being intolerant of bigots is actually a positive character trait. Whereas being a bigot is a negative character trait.

This is truth

Yeah, but this guy is not in the Navy and is an Infantry officer.

Not sure what the stateroom/shower example is supposed to portray?

I don't know what you meant by that other than you mention it constantly...

Don't you know? Army officers have their own staterooms and showers inside helicopters, tanks, humvees, and foxholes

What about that muslim army officer that killed 13 people at Fort Hood?

How short your memory is....

Not a terrorist attack. It's nothing more than some deranged soldier going postal.

THat is why when he was shooting he hollered Ali Akbar? You lefttes are in a total state of denial....I don't know when your going to wake up and realize we are in a war against terror.....It better be soon.....

Is your definition of terrorist someone who shouts out religious phrases while he's murdering innocent civilians?

Thank you for your service......what ships did you serve on? as a veteran you must realize the military is there to fight your wars and not to conduct social experimentation and that the most important thing is unit cohesion and morale.......without those 2 elements you can not succeed?

Yeah, we know how important unit cohesion and morale is among bigots. The poor SOB's would be incapable of focusing on the task at hand because they'd be constantly checking their backs to see if any gays are leering at them ;)

Demand that everyone accept their life style.

To many it is immoral and disgusting. If they do not demand all know what they do in the bedroom no one would care.

To many, bigots are immoral and disgusting. Should we round them up and kick them out of the military?

You do realize you are a bigot as well? Look up the word sometime. Intolerant of another person's views.

The bigot weapon the pro gay people use is always amusing when they fail to understand they too fit that definition.

So, someone who's intolerant of murderers is a bigot ..I'll have to remember that ;)
