Judge in high-profile (California) Prop 8 case is gay

Hmmm....I'm normal, and I find no validity to arguments opposing same-sex marriage.

HOWEVER....the queer judge has an obvious potential bias that in an honorable man would have led him to recuse himself from this case. He did not recuse himself, therefore he is not honorable, and if the verdict on this case is to throw Proposition 8 out, yet once again the Right will be absolutely correct in saying the will of the people was overturned by one biased unelected individual.

Prop 8 should be overturned.

It should be overturned without the slightest taint of impropriety.

If he was christian would you say he should excuse himself for that reason?

Edit: saw you answered while I was typing my response. Got it. So would you say Ashcroft and this are comparable?

Because, he's going to side in the way that benefits him most.

Well said. They wouldn't let a white racist on a jury involving the case of a black, why would they let a gay marriage proponent be a judge in a case regarding a gay marriage ban? This presents a seriously conflict of interest.

Is this Judges a gay marriage proponent?

Is he Gay...or is he a gay marriage proponent in an open fashion. Not "We assume he is" but having stated it and acted as a proponent of it?

Because if not, and you're just assuming, then should we likewise ban any christian from sitting on such cases cause it could be "assumed" they would rule against it?

I'd like to point out, once again, that all of these unfounded assumptions about the judge's political views are a tacit admission that anti-gay marriage policies are designed to screw over gay people, and not out of any legitimate belief about the institution of marriage.

And who cares if the judge is gay anyway? What you think being attracted to men somehow hinders his ability to reason?
