'Snowmageddon' blankets Mid-Atlantic in heavy snow

DC has suspended plowing. Apparently it's too dangerous for even the snow plows to be out.

It is even cold in Florida. It will be in the 30's the next two mornings here in central Florida. The high for the Daytona 500 will be 66 degrees the warmest day this week.

We are suffering here in Florida.

It's normally in the 60's during the day this time of year in Houston, with only occasional light freezes at night. Right now, our highs are in the 30's and 40's, and will be for the next 2 weeks. We are blaming it all on Canada. LOL.

Give your money (what is left of it) and your attrative women and we will stop the cold weather from getting to you.

Otherwise you will freeze for another month or two

I seen on TV part of Texas has icy roads

So, now that we have experienced...

Snowmageddon II: Attack of the Drifts!

Well, I thought an interesting anecdotal tidbit would be that PennDOT shut down the main roads yesterday (Wednesday). These included I-81 and I-83.

I am considering going out there and building an igloo right now. This may be the only opportunity I will ever get to do so.

Did we hear back from Oxymoron? Did help come with some cigarettes? Too much oxygen could be seeping into his lungs.

Don't worry there is more snow on its way

It sure is. Houston just had a huge rain that lasted a day and a half. That system is headed northeast, and it will be snow when it gets there. Heads up, you guys.

Someone mentioned to me today that apparently the Farmers Alminac has been spot on for this region so far this winter and suggests another big storm on the 22nd. Interested to see how it shapes up.

And sure enough....what's it calling for snow Sunday the 21st

Well, sure is nice seeing those blizzard shots on TV.

I think I'll go to the beach later today.

Up here in the great white north we don't call it "snowmageddon" or a "snowpocalypse" we call it "another day".

This is near where I live, and you don't see us in the news.....

Jus' sayin'

I really do feel bad for those who aren't used to or prepared for this type of weather.

The difference is in having the equipment to handle it.

More snow to come Monday, and possibly tonight.

It just never ends, does it?

It looks like most of the snow will be south of here. If we get any it probably won't be very much.

They are talking snow in northern Florida along I 10.

Most of the snow has already been south of where you are. Reagan National got at total of 56 inches so far this winter. Dulles has gotten 75 inches.

We've got about 56 inches of snow too. I'm in DC, so Reagan Airport is right across the river.

So, to these photos I say...
