This is good news. I'm happy that, for one reason or another, Obama decided that he didn't want to play dirty on the healthcare bill.

US President Barack Obama has warned Democrats not to "jam" healthcare reforms through the Senate after a Republican won a seat in Massachusetts.

Mr Obama told ABC News any vote should wait until Scott Brown had taken up his seat, and lawmakers should seek to "coalesce" around parts they agreed on.

Mr Brown will be Massachusetts' first Republican senator since 1972.

His victory means the Republicans now have enough votes in the Senate to block the Democrats' healthcare plans.

Hahahaha - that's hilarious.

Obama cautioning someone not to do something.

Well... Just to be clear, he's encouraging the Democrats in congress not to try to pass the entire bill via some procedural manipulation.

It will be interesting to see if the Republicans will be able to vote on the aspects of the health care bill that they already agreed were needed.

What?

Healthcare is the most important thing ever, and our Messiah is telling the Senate to put the brakes on?

NO no no! The Senate should proceed ahead-flank, get this thing done, why, the November elections aren't that far off...

:rofl:rofl

Brown's glorious and honorable victory skeered the doo-doo out of Obama.

Either he realizes that it would be political suicide to do something so blatantly unethical, or he actually has principles.

Most likely the former.

Maybe now we'll get some modest reform with some actual improvements. Or nothing. Frankly, I prefer both of those to what had come so ominously close to passing.

Taken that Obama is or was one of that much beloved breed, an American Lawyers, perhaps you may care to suggest an answer to your implied question.

Or, as Alex Trevek says, your answer should be in the form of a question.

Trevek:
"The answer is: A politician who cut his teeth on the gritty politics of the Chicago machine and associated with radical, left winged terrorists in the 1970s"

Buzz!
"Who is Obama?"

Trevek: "That is correct!"

Didn't want to Play Dirty?

The National Anus was fed up and tired of jamm'in from Obama and his ilk play'in dirty for the past 12-months.

And they didn't bother with foreplay or condoms.

Me thinks Obama, Pelosi and Reid were on the phone taking advice from Tiger.

They got their therapy last night.

I wonder if they will go away too (too much to hope for... I'll settle for a rest and a W last night).

Actually...most of us on the far-left weren't happy with the healthcare plan either.

The spineless Democrats had compromised everything that was worthwhile in the bill. Personally, I'm hoping that it will fail as well.

When it does, Americans will understand why yet again there is no healthcare reform in America and why insurance companies continue to rape the American public.

If Americans truly want healthcare reform, which most of the polls indicate that they do, they will understand that they have to elect people that have a spine to do what they were elected to do.

You haven't seen rape until the government gets its hand on it.
If they ever do, it'll be an all out gang-bang... and people will beg to have choice again.

Actually truth be told most Americans are happy with their health insurance because its the best in the world............

this has little to do with obama

his membership told him they aint a-gonna go there

as for any honor, this is the hot air artist who tried to craft radical and rotten reform of 1/6 of our economy in secret

which was a sharp and pointy LIE of large proportions

which hurt him very badly in massachusetts, all his broken promises

which makes him stupid as well as dishonorable

word is, he has about 100 votes in the house

bye bye, health care

you sure had it coming

the president just got his teeth kicked in

Says who? People with cadillac plans?

When attempting to 'talk the truth', best not to do so from your ass.

Actually that isn't even close to being true. Have you even seen the health statistic. The US ranks far down the list yet pays substantially more than many other countries. Try again.

What are those statitics based on?

Truth be told, lots of places in "the world" would disagree with you.

You don't get choice in other countries.
They don't get cutting edge technologies because they are costs.

It would be cheaper if the government got the frick'in fingers out of it all.
Cell phones are better and cost a few percent of what they did 25-years ago.
Computers too.

Just get government OUT OF THE WAY and let the free market take over.

Even with their intrusions... it's still the best. Without question.

It's why a mildly complicated birth in Alberta can't be serviced in Edmonton or Calgary (Pop. 2.5 million)... and they have to send the family south of the border to a town of 65,000.

Quebec's Supreme Court ruled a waiting list does not constitute health care.

Europe's systems are crumbling... imploding on the weight... fewer people paying in... like 2 to 1... when it was 17 to 1 when they started... and baby boomers adding weight in huge numbers.

Socialized systems... co-ops always fail... especially government run co-op/ponzi schemes.

So stop the blarney. Please.

If the issue was as black and white as you mention it would have passed already. HC seems to be like congressmen. People hate all congressment except their own who get reelected 96% of the time. Most people who have HC like what they have.

In addition most people get HC through their employers. Thus they do not see 80% of the cost of insurance.

Then you had the backroom deals that just killed this thing with the public.

oh, absolutely

but THIS BILL was a pig

obama really screwed up

bad

ask virginia, new jersey, massachusetts

ask jim ritter in colorado

ask dodd and dorgan

ask john corzine

ask copenhagen---remember the olympics?

ask copenhagen---remember the climate disaccords?

ask oslo---remember the prize?

soon, harry reid will be able to tell you

just 25 days ago he had the biggest win of his life---SIXTY!

faster and faster over the cliff

the leader absolutely must HATE obama

reid is dead in the desert

and lincoln, and specter, and bennett, and landrieu, nelson, bayh, delaware, illinois, dakota, florida...

cuz we already got ONE, massachusetts

and everyone who knows anything about american politics knows that if you can get the pilgrims, why, you can make it anywhere

cuz US politics, you see, is real regional

and massachusetts, well, she's massachusetts

that's where kennedy's come from

he just doesn't have the votes for this PIG of a bill for which he is 100% responsible

no gain, only pain for this impercipient president

sorry

They're elected to obey the Constitution.

That pretty much wipes out the Democrats.
