US to deploy 10,000 troops in Haiti

Last time we filled Gitmo with Haitian migrants Clinton reminded us that they had no legal rights. What's up with that? Why do we got to capture people in a territory not ours and send them to a place with no protected rights?

because we have bigger guns?

We need to be very, very careful how we use our troops. They should only be used and called upon in times of war declared through congress. Even though it is incredible noble to help someone, when using power that has incredible force and giving it to free willed humans you are going to hit a bad apple eventually. For all your many honorable people you have the shifty eyed bastard who hates everything about his situation. Except we aren't talking about a money scam. Or hand trickery to steal your watch. Or the bastard that sold that ****ty used car to you. We are talking about people with tools that ensure rapid dispensation of death.

Send contributions to those people and ensure sovereign respect. Help those that are truly a help to society. So that they may in turn help others. Asking solely for pure cash and cash only seems salesman aura'd to me. Or... you could only show the "looters" on the media. Dump tons of boxes of aid into the rubble do to people on the streets and end up having it all look like 100s of people are stealing from a broken home. BLAST a death count of 100k to 200k until the foreign leadership submits. And not use your military aircraft instead to ship in free volunteers all day long.

All the interviews with standby rescue crews (getting paid by the way) on standby they say,
"We just wanna go in and help but right now we are told the Haitians are to dangerous."

I just hope right now we have more helpers than enforcers. If we need to be enforcers and take a mean roll then obviously we are doing something wrong. We need to stop controlling others. Those who have a desire to help... Help. But there is absolutely no need to control others and show how are way is better. With threat of possible death all along. How is this in any way honorable? Either say you want to help and do no controlling. Or admit it and say,
"We are going to use this tragedy as a way to better someone else to our standards"

I'm not saying this is going to happen. But, what if a small faction of people decide to attack our troops? What if we then attack the faction? What if we accidentally kill innocents in defense and cause a never ending cycle of beast infused revenge? Why should we be putting our war resources in such a position that could easily happen?
The American forces are letting the UN troops handle security.
