Report: Rush Limbaugh taken to Hawaii hospital

Do us all a favor and change your name. The hypocrisy is getting a little too much.

Please do us all a favor and learn how to debate. It would really assist you in understanding issues.

Exactly how is it a misrepresentation?

Who has better facilities, a clinic or a hospital?

Who has more doctors and specialists on hand? A clinic or a hospital?

Did you even read the article?

Before you make another conceited statement about discussing this point honestly, please answer the 3 questions.

I read about the issue ages ago when it first hit the news. All of your questions are irrelevant to the issue at hand... not surprisingly. Tell us what was the purpose of her program? Let's see if you really understand it.

You know, for a guy that has been written off by the press as irrelevant numerous times, it's amazing how threads with his name always have such staying power and high hit counts.

It's also funny how they eat their words mere hours after each proclamation.

ROTFLMFAO.

PS. If Rush had died, he's left a great legacy. He's spawned a huge information industry. Their primary focus combating the socialists propaganda machine. Pretty good for one man.

Threads about Rush have staying power because, like the man himself, they present controversial issues. Has nothing to do with whether he's right or not.

You're right he doesn't.

But I doubt many people are going to buy that he didn't receive special treatment.
What special treatment would be available?

Rush is one of the most hated men on the planet. Nice legacy. He is a racist, sexist pig:2razz:

Completely ducked the point I was making about the hypocrisy of your name and your attitude towards those who disagree with you.

What a surprise.

So typical of you CC. You have no idea how to debate. Every time someone makes a point against your claims, your only response is to proclaim its "irrelevant". No explanation, no facts, just that statement.

If that is what you think debating is, you need to do more research.

Now please, answer the questions I posed to you about the difference between clinics and hospitals since it goes directly to the article he brought up which you obviously never read.

Answer my questions and I will be happy to answer yours.

Immediate reaction from the hotel, preferential treatment at the hospital, etc.

I had a family member with a chronic disease. I saw both the privilege and the underprivileged and how they were treated. From a purely selfish point of view thank God we knew a lot of doctors personally.

They were poor so she wants them to go to free clinics and leave her beds for those who can pay.

That statement shows a basic misunderstanding of how healthcare works.

Free Clinics don't have 'beds'. They provide routine healthcare in the form of well check ups, screenings, and work ups. Doctors there do pap smears, prostate screenings, labwork, and prescribe medications, do referrals, etc. They are a good place to go if your child has an earache or a high fever, becomes listless, and you think he/she needs further evaluation. They keep a certain amount of timeslots open each day for non-scheduled same day appointments for stitches or other non-urgent matters that need attention that can't wait for a regular appointment.

Occasionally a clinic will need to directly admit a patient from a clinic appointment to the hospital because of findings during a visit. Most patients are admitted through an ER visit, however. ERs are the place to go for emergencies. A high fever in a child usually isn't an emergency. Shortness of breath during an asthma attack unrelieved by an inhaler can be life threatening.

The program described that was started by Obama's wife sounds like it was intended, yes, to save money, but also to relieve the ER from having to deal with patients who didn't have a clinic or know about clinics. If those poor people really get sick or injured though, they'll have to go to the hospital and be in a hospital bed on a hospital ward. A clinic can't provide that type of care.

The questions are the issue. Why are they sending them to inferior healthcare if theirs is the best around. Now answer some questions with facts instead of your baseless, factless opinions and rants.

Is that why he has Walter Williams as a friend and guest host? he also has hutch as a guest and friend on the show.

What a surprise.

Since you nor anyone else at DP knows what my username represents, as usual you make assumptions that you know nothing about. And as far as my "attitude" towards those that disagree with me, you get what you give.

So typical of you texmaster. You present issues that have little to do with the debate at hand. Tell me, what do you think I'm actually addressing... not what you WANT me to be addressing, but what I actually am?

No, the questions are NOT the issue. The fact that you have misrepresented the issue is what is the real question... but I'm certain we all know the answer to that one.

Notice it wanted the beds for high cost transplants and cancer treatment. This shows it was about the money. The poor could not pay.

Lets see.... Courtesy....

mmmm tough word. Very mysterious.

cour·te·sy (kûrt-s)
n. pl. cour·te·sies
1.
a. Polite behavior.
b. A polite gesture or remark.
2.
a. Consent or agreement in spite of fact; indulgence: They call this pond a lake by courtesy only.
b. Willingness or generosity in providing something needed: free advertising through the courtesy of the local newspaper.

Yeah...big mystery there CC

CC, you have ducked your last question with me. Your incessant need to have everyone else answer your questions while you feel free ignoring everyone else's even when they are asked of you first and your sarcastic baiting remarks coupled with your skyrocketing narcissism have earned you a spot on my ignore list. Be thankful, you're only the second one to hold that honor.

I implore you to learn more about healthy debate. Refusing to answer basic questions given to you then demanding yours be answered especially when they come after the questions posed to you is not proper debate nor is it courteous.

EDIT: Well I'm sorry to say you being a mod I can't put you on ignore but that doesn't stop me from ignoring your posts.

I can see I'm not getting through to you with my explanations.

BTW, do you think it's reasonable for a hospital to try to remain financially solvent? Or maybe all the workers there should volunteer their time for free, eh? They can give their cars to the poor and live at the hospital and take care of poor people for free, and give their visitors free sandwiches and pop and whatever else they need.

So you refuse to answer the questions. Then don't expect anyone to answer yours from now on.

I don't answer questions that are not pertinent to the issue, especially when they are used to misrepresent what is being discussed. If that is how you want to debate, that's fine. I'll continue to call you on it whether you respond or not.

Thats a dodge because you can't answer them without showing I am right.

You are the one here in my opinion misrepresenting.

Okay, if that is the silly line you are going to hide behind to try and avoid addressing the point that was made (because as we all know you have no answer to the legitimate, reasonable point made against your comments), then why don't you explain why it is you think Walter Williams, Bo Snerdley, and the Hutch willingly and freely associate with Rush the supposed "white racist" and even call him a dear friend?

As I said, you have no idea... nor does anyone else on the forum, what my username represents. You can make all the assumptions you want, but since you don't actually know, nor would have any way of knowing, your assumptions are valueless.

No, texmaster. If you can remember a past debate, when you actually addressed what was being discussed, we actually discussed the issue... pretty well I would say. When you throw misrepresentations and red herrings in issues, I will NOT take the bait and fall into those traps. Happens too often around here. So, it's up to you how this proceeds.

Thats a dodge because you can't answer them without showing I am right.

You are the one here in my opinion misrepresenting.

Your misrepresentation makes the questions irrelevant. It falls under the "why did you beat your wife" logical fallacy.

I have never seen a hospital turn down patients. So what if you can't pay, the hospital will still take care of you. Those of us with hospitalization will eventually foot the bill in high hospitalization charges, higher than we normally would pay. It's the same as the Uninsured Motorists insurance we have to pay with auto insurance.

In fact, don't most public hospitals HAVE to provide treatment? I know many Roman Catholic hospitals (among others) also provide services to those without the ability to pay. It is part of being a responsible part of society.

Really? How many KKK people have black friends?

Probably several. These racist jerks are usually on the downlow in their workplace:roll:
