Don't you mean Muslims instead of Arab? The Sudanese aren't Arab.
The ICC issued an arrest warrant for al-Bashir on 4 March 2009. He is the first sitting head of state ever indicted by the ICC. The court's decision is opposed by the African Union, League of Arab States, Non-Aligned Movement, and the governments of Russia and China.
And who's idea of Islam do they seek to covet? Sunni Arabism. The same garbage that slaughters non-Sunni Arabs in Sudan and non-Sunni Arabs in Iraq. The same garbage that preaches violence in literally thousands of Sunni Arab sponsered Madrasas between Cairo and Islamabad and in Europe.
Bashir = Sunni Arab
Hussein = Sunni Arab
Al-Queda = Sunni Arabs
House of Saud = Sunni Arabs
Qutb = Sunni Arab
Muslim Brotherhood = Sunni Arabs
Wahhabi = Sunni Arab
Etcetera.
The Sunni Arab is the great oppressor and brutalizer of the Middle East. There is a clear pattern. They are fond of talking about western imperialism and we ourselves love to self flagilate, but Sunni Arabs have been masters of imperializing their own into tribal allegiance long before The Ottoman Empire rolled across Europe.
Don't confuse what I stated as an absolute. What occurs between Pakistan and India is border instigated. India's attackers is India's problem to settle. They want our help, fine. But our problem is the Sunni Arab across the region and their fanatic base.
Marines in the Philippines since 9/11 have fought Sunni Arab loyalists. In Chad, Somalia, and Ethiopia? Sunni Arab loyalists. The sooner we start looking at them as one Islamic nation and then as separate tribes, the better it will be because it means we will finally look at their world through their eyes. The vast majority of all Muslims are unwittingly victims of forced loyalty towards a the Sunni Arabic tribe rather than God.

DHS Domestic Terror Report Angers Conservatives, Veterans

A Homeland Security analysis being distributed to law enforcement agencies and warning of a new era of domestic terrorism has provoked a storm of criticism among conservatives who view it as a thinly veiled attack on Republicans by the Obama administration.
The report concludes that a new wave of homegrown terror has been spawned by the election of the nation’s first black president and anger over unemployment, rising poverty and illegal immigration. It singles out returning war veterans as a potential recruiting base for the extremists.
Entitled “Right-Wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” the report has been confirmed as real by DHS chief Janet Napolitano. However, her department has not explained why they’ve never produced a report looking at the violent political left in America.
Perhaps the most vitriolic attack on the report thus far comes from conservative syndicated columnist, author, and Fox News Channel contributor Michelle Malkin:
“I have covered DHS for many years and am quite familiar with past assessments they and the FBI have done on animal rights terrorists and environmental terrorists.
“But those past reports have always been very specific in identifying the exact groups, causes, and targets of domestic terrorism … who have engaged in physical harassment, arson, vandalism, and worse against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs, and university researchers.
“By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives,” Malkin concluded.
Capitol Hill Chimes In
Meanwhile, according to the Associated Press, House Republican leader John Boehner has described the report as offensive and called on the agency to apologize to veterans.
“To characterize men and women returning home after defending our country as potential terrorists is offensive and unacceptable,” said Boehner, R-Ohio.
Equally unhappy with the report’s take on the vulnerability of returning servicemen and women to being swept up into local terror cells is the top man in the American Legion.
In a scathing letter to Napolitano, David K. Rehbein, an Army veteran and national commander of the American Legion lambasted the report:
“The best that I can say about your recent report is that it is incomplete. The report states, without any statistical evidence, ‘The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.’.......
I think anyone who points out the truth about this President, or his administration is, in the eyes of the true followers.

Truth, or partisan hackery of the worst kind? Let me see here:
1) An incident revealed gaping holes in airline security.
2) The president was on vacation when it happened.
3) The bomber was connected to al-Queda.
4) The White House issued a statement, saying that the president had been briefed.
Yup, looks very similar. This was the Richard Reid incident, in which a terrorist attempted to blow up a plane with the exact same chemical in his shoes that this terrorist had in his underwear. This happened during the Bush administration.
And now, for some differences:
1) Obama took time out from his vacation immediately to respond. Bush stayed on vacation.
2) Obama responded with a statement immediately. Bush made no statement for 6 days.
3) Democrats did not criticize Bush over the reid incident, or attempt to turn this into a political issue. Republicans are criticizing Obama for this incident, and attempting to turn it into a political issue.
That the Republican party would attempt to turn what could have been a national tragedy into political fodder is absolutely sickening, disgusting, and unamerican. The Old Soviet Union would have been proud of them. The Party of Whiners has once again shown why they are regarded as the Party of Whiners. Perhaps they need to seek a better job than the ones they have. I hear that Pravda has a few openings.

You forgot to mention obama told us this was a lone individual. Perhaps he should have waited untill he actually knew what was happening. That would not include a conference with napolitano as she's just as clueless now as she always was. I watched the news conference whereby she told a nervious nation "airport security is working just fine." :shock:
BTW isn't obama still out golfing? If I remember correctly bush gave up golfing during the war. Seems he felt it was inapropriate for a wartime president.
There's no doubt that Arabs under the flag of Sunni Islam produce some of the most lethal groups we've had to face since the end of the Cold War.And who's idea of Islam do they seek to covet? Sunni Arabism. The same garbage that slaughters non-Sunni Arabs in Sudan and non-Sunni Arabs in Iraq. Wow, :shock: article. King and Hoekstra appear to be spinning like mad, trying to explain the differences in response to Bush and response to Obama.
I haven't been paying too much attention to news in the last week or so. I didn't realize that Republicans were using this as a political attack. That is very disheartening, IMO.
You're right, you simply can't criticize the the president during a time of war.
You remember incorrectly, Bush did not give up golfing. He did SAY he was doing that. But, you know, he lied.
I can't believe you continued the partisan attack on Obama's response after Dana posted that politico article. Holy. Flipping. Wow.

President Bush said yesterday that he gave up golfing in 2003 "in solidarity" with the families of soldiers who were dying in Iraq, concluding that it was "just not worth it anymore" to play the sport in a time of war.
"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," Bush said in a White House interview with the Politico. "I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."
Bush said he decided to stop playing golf on Aug. 19, 2003, when a truck bomb in Baghdad killed U.N. special representative Sergio Vieira de Mello and more than a dozen others.
He said he received word of the attack while playing golf during a stay at the family ranch near Crawford, Tex. Press reports at the time indicate he took the call from Condoleezza Rice, then his national security adviser.
"They pulled me off the golf course, and I said it's just not worth it anymore to do," Bush said in yesterday's interview.......

Yeah like...Bush realizing these are acts of war, Obama considering this an isolated extremist.
Man comes from Yemen, spent time there before his flight, added to the fact this comes after the Hasan rampage in Fort Hood and the 5 Alexandrians who are under arrest in Pakistan, not to mention all of this comes on the heels of Obama's surge in Afghanistan and recent hellfire strikes into Yemen and Pakistan. Sounds like a war is on to me while the circus clown vacationing in Hawaii thinks it a isolated event. Clueless.
Let me help you out then. No need was it for you to be paying attention. Just as the 9-11 Commission became a blame game, just as every policy from the Patriot Act, to surveillance, to access to phone records, to eavesdropping into telephone calls and etraffic became political and used against Bush....this will be painted all over the Obama Admin. This was a colossal bone up, Jackalope. An absolute colossal blunder, someone is obviously asleep at the switch.
You didn't miss anything...it's what you deny that confuses you. Learning from the best, we Repubs are absolutely going after Obama on this and we're gonna make it political. Dripping saliva, fangs protruding, menace in our words, clarity in our purpose, we very much plan to expose this rookie circus clown as completely inept and unqualified to lead this nation. We've got a woman who couldn't manage a bowel movement after a night of heavy drinking running our Homeland Security...and you're "disheartened."
I'd sink into flat out depression if I were you, we're gonna sling artillery shells full of mud at this one. We're going to scream and give the 'what for' from the highest mountian top. Bullhorn the fact that this Admin is a threat to national security and considers these acts crimes rather than acts of war.
We're also going to rampage all over this Janet Napolatano or whatever her name is. Remembering she was the one who told us right wing groups preying on returning soldiers was a valid risk... (and she compiled the domestics enemies list, too, excuse me) what was that all about.....gonna pretend that wasn't political? She's up there claiming her favorite philosopher is Mao.....and you're disheartened Repubs are going for the political throat.
Why...my good liberal friend...we're going to try to rip the political throat(nonviolent term) right out of this 'Homeland Security Chief", then we're gonna point out what a circus clown we have for a President and we're going to use these attacks to our own political purposes...having learned so much from the anti-war Left and 9-11 Commission games.
Shoe on the other foot and yer suddenly "disheartened"
That is humorous and makes many a right wing radical such as myself smile knowingly...knowing you're in big trouble on this one, this doesn't look good...at all. And I'll consider it my personal campaign and universal Republican crusade to make this look even worse that it could have been. To reach....elaborate...exaggerate...elongate... (why not? it's politics the way it's played, let the loser lament) to make this seem like the sky is falling and your President doesn't have a cluse what to do. (we don't have to reach to do that) We ain't gonna get poltiical, that's an understatement. We're gonna try to ruin this President wiht events like this, to expose to this nation that mistakenly voted for this joke that they've made a colossal error. A boneheaded mistake.
Disheartening to you is real hope and change for me. The powder has been saved and kept dry long enough Gentlemen, time to either pull the political pistols or whistle a tune. I say let's tighten up and tear into these inept Dems right now. Not only make it political, make it super political. Convince the rest of this nation that a clown sits in the White House and hopefully, your disheartenment sinks to a new low while you watch Michelle move her garments out.:2wave:
Let's rock Repubs, like a fighter, you see blood...you see the legs wobble slightly....let's start throwing haymakers. Let's start with 2010 and vote these utter jokes out of office.
You're right, you simply can't criticize the the president during a time of war.
(snip ... )
Bush played golf at least two times at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland after de Mello's death. The first occasion was on Sept. 28, when his partners included Sen. Don Nickles (R-Okla) and Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio), according to an AP report. The next occasion was on Columbus Day, Oct. 13, when he played with his old Andover/Yale chum, Clay Johnson, and Richard Hauser, general counsel with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. According to the AP, his tee-off shot went into the rough.
Some bloggers have speculated that Bush's real reason for giving up golf is connected with his knee problems, which flared up in December 2003, and caused him to abandon his normal jogging routine.

There are exceptions to every rule. However, exceptions don't make the rules. Fearing the exceptions while allowing the obvious in merely widens the door.
Charles, that was a long post avoiding the fact that Republicans are not treating the shoe bomber situation and Bush the same as the underwear bomber situation and Obama.
That's because Bush's Homeland Security(national Security) didn't proclaim the system worked directly afterwards. And he certainly never came out claiming this a "single act of extremism."
Bush understood this was a war and immediately implemented the changes rather than coming out saying everything is cool.
Somebody is asleep at the switch, Jackalope. And your denial of this is quite telling. Obama wasn't checking passengers in but....an "isolated incident"...is he that stupid?
