Cuban minister says Obama "imperial, arrogant"

Weren't conservative commentators complaining just a couple of months ago that they find Obama too meek and submissive toward other world leaders? And now he's imperial and arrogant? Am I missing something here?

He is arrogant, he doesn't like America, hence his desire to turn it into Amerika.

His fellow Commi's feel he is Imperial. I think he's a socialist and weak.

One would think they'd be more concerned about the leaky roof on their trailer house, huh?

I said it before, I'll say it again. There is a small percentage of our society that whines so loud they appear to be much larger than they are. They hate that "black muslim" Obama and it wouldn't matter if he cured cancer or walked on water. He's still just a "libbo, socialist, half-breed, democrat" who's momma was hoochie fooling around with black men. That's all they need to know to hate him. Some are a bit more discreet about coming right out and saying it, but reading between the lines, we all know who they are.

I am no Obama fan, for sure. Like most independant centrists, I too am a little disappointed with what's going down. I hoped for the best but now I'm not so sure. The juries still out as far as I'm concerned. But rest assured, when Obama becomes as much of a loser as the last president was, I'll be the first to shout it from the mountain top. I got my eye on you Obama.

But know this. If Castro or Chavez came out praising Obama, these same people would be spewing "Obama gets Chavez/Castro seal of approval.!" See? Told ya he was a socialist commie!" There is NOTHING this president can or will ever do to change their mind. Steel traps, all of 'em.

I believe--as I always did--that PBO's notion that sucking up to the assholes of the world is somehow going to make things better. Changing our, "world image", was one of his campaign talking points. Catro's remarks show just how naive your basic Libbo--yes Libbo--mindset really is.

IMO, the biggest thing that the Center to Left folks that claimed time-and-again that Bush's foreign policy made more enemies than friends are missing, is just how wrong PBO's, "everybody love everybody", diplomacy isn't going to work.

But, you'll never hear anyone say that in this thread.

Me and karl rove huh? That's almost as funny as the extra 1,000 troops the italians are sending to afghanistan. I'm guessing your assertion is obama can't deliver on the promises made during the campaign to gain the us all the cooperation we could stand. And you're glad he's hated in china, cuba, iran and nk? I think it's more like they know an amatuer when they see one.

As for bush's poor popularity, I wouldn't worry about that. He's no longer president. What you should be concerned with is Obama's. No president in my lifetime has seen his popularity fall as fast as obama's. It's really quite sobering. I don't hate obama but it's blindingly clear he wasn't even remotely prepared the position you people elected him to.

I'm not at all convinced his policies or his administration is up to the task before them. I'm not the only one either. Oddly only a few months after we were supposed to see the most significant political allignment in a generation things are going sour for the democratic party. You might just want to start wondering where the problems are. Here's your opportunity for some introspection. You might as well get over all that rove and I are being all biased and all. That's not the problem. Your president and your political party are the problem.

When any of this addresses anything I said in response to your vomit of a post. Please. Msg me? Your rehashed opinion is not something I honestly care about.

Superb post. That should really wrap up the discussion. But it won't.

maybe so, but the world thinks Obama is a lying putz. That much is clear. They have no respect for him.

Yeah but lying is common in politics when one is aware his own policies are highly flawed. The criticims and lack of cooperation coming from his global enemies and competitors is to be expected. What is really striking with this President is the fact that he sees the substantial opposition to his ideals coming from US citizens. Given that fact, he is forced to speak in circles in a mad attempt to put up a good show. The end result is no results and a growing anger from his Progressive base.

Obama progressivism is going to go down at least as impotent as Carter liberalism. But, if Obamacare (assuming it becomes law) can be overruled in a timely enough manner, the nation should be okay.
