Good for Houston.
The study was never debunked. What has been debunked was the false premise that scientists claimed having actually found a gay gene.
And my point is, maybe they don't care about "being gay" when voting for a Mayor. They are realizing that partaking in homosexual activity doesn't make you different. HUZZAH!
So, if you're not 'different' can you go up to the same window at city hall and apply for the same marriage license?
Just goes to show you that Houstonians are not the stereotyped hillbillies they are made out to be.
So will al of you heterophobes stop spreading the lies and trying to make the rest of into some freaks because we speak the truth.
Being a homosexual is an easy way out of having to deal with the reality of differences in the thought processes and other qualities unique in the make up both men and women. For the most part women are more emotional while men are more pragmatic and work from logic. Of course no blanket statement holds true in every case but generally men get along much easier with men and women with women.
I have 4 bothers one decided to be gay because he couldn't deal with the emotional roller coaster being married became for him.
I'm anti gay because its not normal and if it were it wold not take both a man and a woman to create a new life. And don't give me any of the B.S. about how science can now create life, because that's wrong too.
I don't hate gay people and would not jail or beat them up. By the same token they need to stop trying to promote their life style choices with lies. If it were genetic why is recruitment so wide spread and boisterous and militant?
Homosexuality is not a choice.
I've always found Houston to be a surprisingly progressive city with superb restaurants and nice, down-to-earth people. I'd take it hands down over Dallas any day.
I think it's the homophobes and bigots who need to get better educated about hard-wire personality traits like sexual identity and sexual orientation. Sexual orientation is a hard-wire personality trait -- a function of genetics, brain development and PRENATAL issues.
Hey, let's fly the new flag.
I think its been well established where the majority of the funding came from. But if I get the time, I will do a search and post a link.
Yes...I lived in Utah for 25 years. Born and raised there. Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-Mormon. In fact, I often stand up for Mormons. There are a lot of good things that the Mormons do. On this particular issue, though...they were dead wrong and I'm very disappointed that the Mormons would engage in the type of lies and deceit that surrounded the yes on 8 crowd. Lying is lying whether you believe the greater good of your cause is just.
what lies? they are against gay marrisge, that is their right assuming that marriage is more a religious issue than legal......
Utah just passed a law supported by the LDS church establishing equal rights for gays.
I have yet to hear anyone give a good explanation as to what rights gays do not have when it comes to civil unions vs. marriage...
The law in Utah only dealt with housing discrimination. Nothing more.
As for the rest of your post...I have no problem with the Mormon church being against gay marriage. I have a big problem with them influencing an election, contributing tons of money and hiding behind their tax exempt status.
I have a huge problem with them spending huge amounts of money spreading lies such as "it would be required to be taught in schools"...."Children will be taken to homosexual weddings", Churches will be required to marry gay people even if it is against their teachings.....all lies....and all that were the focus of the prop 8 crowd.
Housing only? got a link? The Logan newspaper must have gotten it wrong....strange, I heard none of the lies you talk about....not in Utah anyway. Guess you had to be in California.
No church can be required to do any such thing, even the most simple minded dolt knows that. That kind of thing sounds like gay propaganda aimed at making the religious folks look bad. Granted, there are SOME who are nut cases, but they would be nutty even if they weren't LDS. I know baptists and catholics who act that way as well. They are a small minority within their groups, just like the small amount of gays who make up stuff and vandalize churches to fuel gay paranoia.
While we have not found proof that this is the case, there is lots of circumstantial evidence.
You need to spend more time in Houston then.
Housing only? got a link?
Why?............

Do you think before you post? If people don't care about gays, then gays have won, and will be able to do things like marry and serve in the military.
