Yeah... I recently moved into a poorer, "black" part of town, South Sacramento. I also take public transportation to work and school... I realized a while ago that I am at least somewhat racist. Not against all blacks, but against "ghetto" black people, which seem to be the ones I meet the most. In my experience, they're loud, they're crude, they're dismissive of authority, they're violent, they're insulting... you get the idea. I've reached the point where I assume a young black person I meet is such until I learn otherwise. I don't even necessarily like having these beliefs, but it is what it is.

That doesn't make you racist; it makes you observant.

Blacks are allowed to be racist. There's nothing said or done to dissuade it whatsoever. It's championed. It's big business, for some.

Look what a black comedian can say about whites, and vice-versa. Look what black politicians can say about whites, and vice versa. The double standard examples are too numerous to count. Why are "hate crimes" only directed toward crimes against black people, but a black person can't commit a "hate crime".

Just watch a football game and listen to how announcers will comment on the "quick white guy". Can you imagine him saying "that guys pretty slow for a black guy?"

Just telling you how it is. I'm pretty far removed from it all living in a virtually all-white, affluent suburb with great schools, etc. But it isn't that way for many.

Get this, in Dallas schools now, teachers can't give their students zeroes for not turning in their work. They have to let them turn it in with no penalty, and if they don't, they still get a 60.

This is their answer to the high dropout rates.

Federal funding is tied to the drop out rate, I'm sure....
At least if they are at school, something might sink in & at least it keeps them off of the streets.....;)

I've been a white minority my entire life, I'm not some neo-con in the suburbs taking racist talking points from Rush Limbaugh while never actually coming near the issue. And the original topic wasn't white/black relations it was white/Asian relations.

Yes there is.

Racism is the irrational dislike or hatred of members of another racial group.

Reverse racism is the irrational dislike or hatred of members of your own racial group leading to preferential treatment to members not of his race.

However, reverse racism is still racism.

Affirmative Action is a reverse racist plan, and hence it's a racist plan.
