From an ideological standpoint the "militant" left is severely outnumbered. Government street gangs (aka Police) are a 99% right wing and if its Palin at the event you can bet your ass that it will be filled with conservatives who have guns.

This never happened. The violence everyone knows was from a suspected closet gay named Dan White and had nothing to do with any protests, and everything to do with wanting his place on the Board of Supervisors back after he resigned over not getting his way and not making enough money. White was a Democrat not a protester.

By the way Harvey Milk one of Whites victims was a wildly radical trouble maker and not the wonderful person he's been made out to be. He didn't didn't deserve to be killed but the record is the record

And this incident doesn't prove that the majority of the left condones violence. There are militant and violent people on the right. Shall we use the death of an abortion doctor to label the entire right as militant and violent?

Seriously, this guy threw a tomato at someone and should be charged with a crime. This person is no more an indication of the entire left than the killing of an abortion doctor is an indication of the entire right.

The left on this site have demonstrated their feelings with the hateful rhetoric whenever there is a Palin thread. I never see anything but the strongest disrespectful terms used against Palin in these threads.

Now, given the posts you and others on the right have made about Obama, shall we say that you would condone violence against Obama? No.

Regardless of how people on the left care about Palin on this board, the majority of them in no way have condoned violence against her just as the majority on the right on this board do not condone violence against Obama.
