Copenhagen climate summit: 1,200 limos, 140 private planes and caviar wedges

And despite the hyperbole I'm betting these "countries" consist of little more than a few goats.

Do you think this is ok?

:rofl

Looks like this summit will produce as much CO2 in 2 weeks as Norway (40,220) does in 1 year and almost as much as Switzerland (41,826) and Ireland (43,806)....It will produce more than the following countries do in a year-

Hong Kong 39,039
Peru 38,643
Slovakia 37,459
Azerbaijan 35,050
Trinidad and Tobago 33,601
Ecuador 31,328
New Zealand 30,488
Cuba 29,627

Goats! They're all a bunch of goats! :rofl

some of the stuff above is awful funny

we conservatives generally have such excellent senses of humor

so does obama

he's going to copenhagen, which even al gore cancels, to accomplish NOTHING of substance

and yet he makes a POLITICAL statement unambiguous and loud

he's once more on the extreme opposite side of the american people on yet another big issue

global warming, especially in this cold climate of frozen emails, is NOT a priority of the american people

JOBS is just about the only thing on their minds

he gets NOTHING in denmark

and ends up, for kicks, as POLITICAL LOSER

typical obama

the most obtuse politician at the national level america has ever produced

he has an OPENNESS SUMMIT that he CLOSES to the public

in such a way he's got AP doing 1000 words on obama's betrayal of his transparency promise

gallup today has him slipping to 47%

After Brief Uptick, Obama Approval Slips to 47%

he really is incompetent, it's a lot bigger than mere spin

Is there a more environmentally friendly way to have such a summit?

There are alternatives to the methods that people used to get there, but logistically is there a way that would leave a lesser carbon footprint?

Telephone,video conference,telegram,smoke signals,flag waving,suicide.

Not smoke signals, obviously.

Oops,I mean steam signals.....Although water vaper is considered a greenhouse gas.

Oh, They won't let that get in their way. They're saving the frikkin world

STFU commie. What do you have against rich people?

These elitist have some nerve, no?
No. ;) You're the only one who's being elitist. I'm sure none of that could've cost more than Palin's wardrobe.

One would think that if they REALLY cared about this supposed man made global warming or whatever they call it today, they might have took a train
One would think that, but he's the only one. Because he's wrong. Yawno...

One would think if you're a Christian, you would lose your internet connection and donate the money to the poor. Guess by my pseudo-ethical standard of judgment, you're a hypocritical elitist and not a true Christian. lol

How 'bout we just don't have the stupid meeting about something that doesn't exist? Just spitballin' here.

Crap, since your all so passionate about carbon footprints today how about illegalising football? Thatd take a carbon chunk out of the sky.
I dont watch football =D

Oh hell no!

Note this is more "CO2" than 60 countries will spew in a year.

Didn't the Obama Administration just say that CO2 is bad for you health?

the msm do NOT want to be talking about climategate, the emails

but the president's idiotic descent upon denmark renders that discussion inevitable

another smooth move, mr p

List of countries by carbon dioxide emissions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think you figures are more twisted than Glenn Becks brain. :doh

from the article:
41,000 tonnes of "carbon dioxide equivalent", equal to the amount produced over the same period by a city the size of Middlesbrough.

And you think this conference is causing more C02 than Hong Kong (with 7 million people) puts out in a year?

Perhaps you should look where these numbers came from.

Perhaps you should have read the details.

The emissions listed are in "thousands of metric tons", ...quite a difference.
